Chapter 16

Alex's POV

After I slam my front door in Niall's face I slide down the wall crying.

How could he do this?

I'm mad that I took him to the party but then I'm not because that shows me what type of person he is.

I bet the only reason he hung out with me because I'm a girl and he could have some fun. Or I was the only person he knew in town.

" I'm so fucking stupid" I mutter to myself

When I saw that girl on Niall's leg and whispering in his ear while smiling and him not even thinking of removing her off his body that's when my heart broke.

How many arguments have we gotten into? They were all about a kiss or what our relationship was.

I need to stop giving into him. That smile is so charming and when he looks at me just makes my heart flutter.

But now it makes me feel like I was shot in the heart.

I'm really suprised that my dad hasn't woken up to my crying but that's a good thing. I don't need him questioning me about my night and why I was crying.

As I reach my room and wash off my make up I decide that I'm going to school. Even though it's a half day I don't need Niall at my front door step making up excuses.

Soon I fall asleep with a terrible irish boy clouding my dreams...

As soon as I wake up I automatically get dressed. I woke up 15 minutes late so I need hurry.

As I get into my car I drive off into the dull morning. It's raining and it's 50 degrees out. It's too cold.

As I pull into the school I automatically see Keirstyn,Harry,and Nick walking to my car.

" Alex!" Harry yells

" What?" I ask

" What happened last night?" Nick asks

" Some stuff happened with Niall. But it doesn't matter. I"m done with him" I say

" When I saw that you ran out I tried to come after you guys but instead I see Niall close to tears walking to his car" Keirstyn said

He almost cried? I bet it was just an act.

School finally gets out at 11:30 since it was a half day and I seriously can't wait to get into my bed and sleep.

As I'm walking to my car I see that damn audi.

Which Niall leaned against it looking in all directions.

he cares about you Alex...

No he doesn't. This will just be a cycle.

I'm almost to my car when his eyes find me and he immediatly jogs over to me.

Go away.

" Alex!" he yells

I just ignore him.

Soon enough he pulls my arm

" Don't touch me!" I yell

" Listen to me baby" he says quietly

" Baby? Seriously? I'm not going to listen to you. I already saw enough" I say pulling out of his grasp

" Alex! Stop!" he says before I can open my car door

" Move" I say sternly

" I will when you listen to me"

" Fine"

He soon backs away from the car and I open my door and put my keys in.

As I drive off I see Niall stand there dumbfounded.

You know that's how I sorta felt at the party.

Feeling dumb because I liked him and I thought he was different.

As I get home I go to my room and watch a random episode of friends when my phone starts to ring

" Mom" the contact says

My hands start to shake and I grab my phone to answer.

" Hello?" I say into the phone

" Hello darling! I was just wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner with me tonight" she says joyfully

" Uh" I say

" C'mon Alex. We need to catch up. I'm sorry the past" she says

I just stay silent.

" Alex?" she questions

" Sure. What time and place?" I ask

" 7:30 at Olive Garden?" she asks

" Sounds great"

Since it's 1 o'clock I decide to take a nap...

It's 6:45 when I wake up so I decide to curl my hair. After I curl my hair it's 7:00 so I decide to leave because Olive Garden is all the way across town.

Finally I get to Olive Garden and I see my mom all fancied up. She's wearing a black dress with a lot of make-up.

" Hey" I say

" Hello darling!" she says hugging me

Soon I see a man standing right next to us.

" Alex, I would like you to meet Eric, My husband" she says

Husband?

Husband? Did I hear her correctly?

" Nice to meet you" he says reaching his hand out

" You too.." I say trailing off and shaking his hand

Eventually we are all seated at a table and we are all silent.

" So Alex. Are you done with your bad habits?" my mother asks me

" What?" I say raising my eyebrow

" Yes. Your language, your friends, you getting in trouble"

" What are you talking about?"

" Do you have a boyfriend yet? Is he pressuring you into things? Alex, your pupils look dialated, are you doing dru-" she begins but I get pissed

" Kimberly.." Eric says

" You know what! None of that is true! None! How could you think of that? You think I would do those things?" I say pissed

" Well when I left you weren't a child that I would brag to about my friends. I hope you have changed" she says

Ouch. That hurt.

" Well your the alcoholic!" I say standing up and walking out of the restaurant.

I get into my car and I start crying. Why would she say those things? It was bad enough when she said them to me when she was drunk.

As I cry while driving everything goes black....

Niall's POV

I tried to talk to her but she didn't listen.

All day I have been thinking about her and how I'm gonna try to get her back.

Soon a ring was interrupted at the dinner table.

It's my dad's phone.

" Hello Mr. Carter" my dad says

Soon he looks at me with wide eyes

" Yes, I'll tell him"

Shit.

" Niall, Alex has been in a car accident" my dad says
