He woke up with a gasp, right after he dreamed of a man kissing him and choking him at the same time.

He almost screamed. He didn't remember falling asleep—he was too worn out from the turn of events that happened today. He wasn't even sure how he managed to carry himself to bed.

Slowly, the memory of the dream came back. Hell, was it a dream, he might as well call it a beautiful nightmare. The sensation of his captor's hand was fresh around his neck. He closed his eyes and tried to recall everything.

First, he remembered his malicious, murderous eyes, and the way they cut through his soul like invisible sword ready to slaughter. Then, he remembered the lips, the way they sealed upon his own and how the world felt like it was on fire.

It's just a dream—it's nothing more.

Well, maybe he was too carried away with what happened today. He had actually been watching Jace and Jordan almost clawing each other to death before they ended up mouth-to-mouth, lip-locking. Maybe that was it.

Meh. He lay down on his bed again, pulled thecovers and tried to go back to sleep.
