The adventures of Joshie and Katie: Best friends

Chapter 8- not awkward at all

A/n I put an emoji in the tittle for katie. And no this isn't gonna get smutty so don't freak lol. But you know this will be interesting lol. Tbh I have no idea where this is gonna go so....lol

Katie smiled and dragged Josh to a CVS "we need supplies first." "Supplies? Like emergency bacon?" She glared at him he blushed softly "I'm guessing not emergency bacon?" She laughed and shook her head at him and walked around with a basket grabbing things. Josh squealed and ran and grabbed a bag of bacon flavored chips. She raised an eyebrow "JOSHIE what is this?" "Supplies" she rolled his eyes "fine Josh whatever." She laughed softly.

Soon katie got everything she needed. Basically food and drinks and one flashlight and two helmets, because you never knew what to expect with josh, and that was about it. She was checking out and Josh got distracted by toys. "Oh katie look at these!" She rolled her eyes she swore josh was a literal 5 year old. She checked out and had to pull him by the ear out of the store and him whining "ow ow Ow ow ow ow." She just laughed until they were out

"Alright lead me to the studio JOSHIE." She declared. He laughed and turned to start walking and she jumped on his back and he laughed harder. "Onward!" She declared through laughs. He pulled his foot back like a horse getting ready to charge then galloped down the street her on his back.  She laughed the whole time her arms around his neck. He soon arrived out of breath but smiling and Katie hopped off and josh let them in.

Katie ran instantly into the dance studio and pulled out glow sticks and started breaking them so they glowed and plugged in her phone and played her "dance party" playlist full blast and smiled putting a glow stick around her head. Josh came in confused and katie turned the lights off and Josh yelped scared and katie stifled a giggle. She walked over to him and put a glow stick around his neck and his worst and his head "wear these and slowly we will get rid of them till we are in pitch black" he but his lip "o-okay." "Oh and one more thing. Give me your phone." She held out her hand.

He froze "what?!" "You heard me. Your phone." "Katie I am not giving you my phone." "The only way you can conquer your fears is by trusting me okay? I'm not gonna keep it. And I'm putting my phone up too." He sighed and reluctantly gave her his phone. She smiled and put the two phones in a cubby hole and came back and started jumping around like an idiot to the music. Josh just watched laughing. "C'mon JOSHIE dance! The only way you can conquer your fear is doing the things you love in that situation. Think of whistle a happy tune from the King and I. See when she said when she was scared it was okay. So dance your fears away!" She laughed and jumped around giggling

So in enough Josh joined in and bounced around dancing to the music loving it. Katie took her flow bracelets off but kept the one on her head on "wow Katie your hands just DISAPEARed." She laughed and grabbed his hands with hers "here are my hands ya doofus. I just took the bracelets off so it would be darker stupid." He blushed and thanks to his necklace and head and katie saw him blushing and smirked "awe JOSHIE is embarrassed" she teased "stoooop katiiiieeeee" "make me" she stuck her you hue out.

In one fluid motion he threw her over his shoulder and ran around in circles loosing his flow head band in the process but he didn't notice. He laughed and she laughed she music forgotten about. They seemed to have their own music but it went to the same beat. He soon put her down and her head band fell as well. He gasped and she rolled her eyes

"I've got a necklace on dummy YIU can still see me. And YIU still have bracelets on it's not that big of a deal." He laughed softly and katie took his hands "dance with me JOSHIE!"she held his hands and ran in a circle so they spun around. His necklace popped off and so did a bracelet when they spun each other. Neither of them noticed or cared. They sang along to the songs loudly and off key. In reality both of them had great voices but neither of them knew that.

Two hours past and the only light in the room was around Katie's neck. Josh walked up to her and pulled it off and she yelped in surprise. "Sorry Katie. I just....I think I'm ready to actually conquer this..." She smiled softly but he couldn't see. "You've got this bacon boy." He laughed softly "if you keep calling me names I won't do this" "nah you like your nicknames JOSHY B." He chuckled and tossed the glow stick aside and they were now in complete darkness.

He shivvered and gasped "k-katie?" He whispered she smiled softly and found his hand and held it "dance with me Josh. Let your fears fade away to the MUSic...." The song "NEVERLAND" from finding NEVERLAND came on. YIU see josh HATED Peter Pan. Yet this song some how calmed him. She smiled and he lead her in a dance accross the floor in the darkness twirling her and moving to the beat. He dipped her and moved perfectly as if he could actually see what he was doing. Katie smiled enjoying it and at the end he twirled her and the two were close. It was pitch black but he could see her and she could see him. Not perfectly but enough. Their breath ghosted against each other katie smiled "still scared JOSHIE?" "Never. Not with YIU. With YIU I'm not scared of anything." She smiled big and hugged him tught. He smiled and hugged back. Katie thought: Josh gives the best hugs in the world. She didn't wanna let go so she didn't. They hugged tight as the next song came on. Another slow one. They swayed gently

Soon josh broke the mood "I'm hungry." She laughed  at his comment and pulled back "I brought food don't worry." He smile,d "can YIU find it in the dark?" She smirked and suddenly a light emerged from a flashlight under her chin. He yelped and fell to the ground and she died laughing. "YOU HAD A FLASHLIGHT?!?" "For this very reason to get JOSHIE food." She teased. He rolled his eyes "whatever." She laughed. "Food then more dancing in the dark it's fun!" He declared she smiled.

The two sat under the ballet bar and ate chips and dips that katie had bought and then they danced somemore. Katie yawned "let's take a break. I'm exhausted." He smiled "okay." They sat down next to each other and eventually Katie's head fell on Josh's shoulder "katie?" He asked he looked down at her and could feel her breathing even out. She was asleep. He smiled softly and held her close "night night Katie." He fell asleep too in the dark.

Josh had conquered his fear but he couldn't have done it without katie.
