"Chanchal! Stop!" You screamed.
"This man killed your father! He ruined your life!"
"Please... I-" You swallowed, looking at Ja'far fighting. You couldn't attack Chanchal, he was an older brother, your only family left.
Ja'far and you met again after his assassination on your father, and his attempted murder on you, when you joined up with Sinbad and the generals.
You had said you would never forgive him, but over time you've noticed how hard he's tried to be nice. Sinbad and Yam-San always said he was trying to prove himself to you, that he wasn't the assassin he used to be.
Sin told you stories all the time, about how truly kind Ja'far was. You knew that, you believed them, but you couldn't help but be scared.
"Stop!!" You yelled again as Ja'far held back, getting sliced by Chanchals sword.
Dammit! I have to do something! You thought as you narrowed your eyes at the scene
"Chanchal!"
"Shut up Y/N!" If you cannot claim vengeance, I will do it for you! For you Y/N!"
"No! I don't want revenge!" You clenched your fists, forcing your feet to move.
"Stop fighting!" You said as you made your way towards them.
"Stay back Y/N! He will always be an assassin at heart!"
You paused in your tracks, and looked into Ja'far's eyes. No. You thought, Sinbad told me, at heart he was an innocent and frightened little boy, sad and alone, at heart he was kind and didn't want to kill anybody, at heart all he wanted was to protect and help those dear to him.
You quickly ran in between them, prepared for anything, knowing what to say to finally stop this.
"I FORGIVE HIM!" You screamed at the top of your lungs, springing your arms out in front of Ja'far.
"Y/N..." Ja'far mumbled.
"Forgive? Did you forget what he did to you?! Has he seen what he's done to you?!"
"What?" Ja'far mumbled again.
"I don't care! Sure there's a scar from that day, but it reminds me of how my life changed! If that never happened I would have never met with you, would have never met Sinbad and the others! I would have never come to peace, especially with Ja'far!"
"Get out of my way Y/N! This man doesn't deserve to live! Can't you see I'm doing this for you, and for all those suffering for what he's done to their loved ones?" Chanchal continued.
"No! If you want to kill him, you'll have to kill me first!"
"Why?! Why are you doing this?!"
"Because I love him!"
They both gasped, but you stood tall. You weren't afraid anymore, you were at peace with your past and you had forgiven and can move forward now.
"You... Love..." Chanchal lowered his weapon and took a step back, "You..." Chanchals face slowly changed from shocked to disgust as he looked at you.
Your arms faltered back to your sides as you began to feel insecure.
"You are dead to me, Y/N." He growled, before quickly turning and walking out.
You let the words sink in, slowly lowering your head you knew you had lost him. you felt your shoulders begin to shake as you dropped to your knees, tears welling in your eyes.
I loved my own killer, and now my only family I had has left me.
"Y/N... I-" Ja'far began, but swallowed, "Can I see the scar?"
You glanced at him as he placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, before pulling down your shirt and unbuttoning a button to reveal your upper chest, a large red scar from where he cut you that day. I had miraculously survived though, to meet with him again.
"God... I'm so sorry. This... All of this... Chanchal, it's all my fault." Ja'far looked at you sympathetically, with sorry eyes.
"It's okay, remember? I forgive you, Ja'far." You smiled, and he blinked as you swear you saw tears in his own eyes.
"Thank you." He mumbled, as we slowly edged into an embrace, "I love you too Y/N."
You smiled, your eyes slowly closing as you placed your arms around your lovers body and rested your head onto his shoulder, only the two of you and the beautiful forbidden love that you shared, existed in the world at this very moment. And your destinies were met.
