"Mahiro!" You called out, running through the crowds.
Where could he have gone? You had got into a fight and he had run off when Yoshino got involved. You sighed, calling out for the man you loved once again.

You were a track runner back in high school, Aika and her brother with Yoshino would always come and watch you. Well not always, Mahiro usually skipped out. But Aika new you liked him in general, so she always made an effort to drag him down.

Now that she's gone, you have to make moves on your own. You do admit you and the boys have gotten much closer over the past year events, but right now everything's going down hill for you.
You stopped, scanning the area. You looked over every face there, then found a certain blonde pop into your view, even from across the streets, his blood red eyes couldn't be more visible.
You stared at him, not wanting to lose him in the crowd as you went to cross the street, getting about half way, only to duck and fall back when a rush of cars came zooming by.
You stared wide eyed as you waited for the cars to pass so you could see Mahiro again. You were sitting on the concrete in the middle of the street, millimetres away from being crushed by cars wheels, front and back.
You sat, anxiously alone, as you wanted the blonde hair and red eyes to come in view again. The knee high boots and skinny jeans, the baggy jacket that he always left unzipped, seemed to suit him perfectly.
Finally there was a clearing, and Mahiro rushed over pulling you up and off the road, dragging you back to the side walk, not facing you.
"Um, Mahiro-"
He cut you off, spinning around and hugging you tight. "You scared the living shit out of me, Y/N." He mumbled, digging his face into the crook of your neck, closing all space between us.
"I came to apologize, Hakaze said-"
"I don't care what Hakaze said." Mahiro rolled his eyes, pulling away from you. An unfamiliar cold taking over the warmth that was once present.
You stared, your E/C eyes reflected Mahiro.
The brother of Aika who turned out to be the mag of exodus and killed herself so Mahiro could save the world.
You and Yoshino getting involved along the way.
Oh Aika, I always new you could see the future. You thought, staring ahead.
Mahiro took a deep breath, and turned away from you again, beginning to walk back the way he seemed to come.
you watched him go.
Was he giving me... the cold shoulder? You don't know, but you could just tell.

"Tell him you love him!" Hakaze yelled, Yoshino nodded in the background as your face flushed blood red as Mahiro's eyes.
"A-are you crazy?! It's not that easy Hakaze!" You wailed.
"Just say it. Don't think to much of it, just like walking." She paused, "I managed to do it, so you can to!" She smiled triumphantly.
"Even if it is, Mahiro." Yoshino smiled.
And so, You took off.

You sighed, looking up only to see Mahiro gone. Crap!
You took off again, weaving through people. You could catch him! You know you can! narrowing your eyes looking forward you continued weaving through the people that popped up here and there.
It shouldn't be that hard to spot him, right?

MAHIRO'S P.O.V

"Mahiro!" I heard someone call.
"Aika," I mumbled, stopping and turning around, only to meet Aika's figure, and Y/N's H/C hair.
Y/N.
Of course.
I sighed, watching contently to see her next move, We had gotten into a fight, and I had run off when Yoshino and Hakaze showed up. I didn't need to be scolded by them to. I had determined on giving Y/N the cold shoulder, during this not so peaceful walk of mine.
Damn there's so many people!
Suddenly, Y/N lurched forward, coming straight toward me. What?! She noticed me?! I stayed still, waiting to see what would happen.
A car quickly covered her figure as many more came zooming by. My eyes widened, watching anxiously as everything blurred out of my vision. I was all alone in the darkness. Y/N either dead, or trapped in the zooming cars.
Finally, it cleared. I stomped over and hurled Y/N up from her position, thankfully not surrounded in a pool of her own blood.
I brought her right off the road, and let go of her hand. Still not facing her, but I couldn't hold myself back. I took a deep breath, and whirled around, bringing Y/N in for a tight hug. I placed my face into the crook of her neck, taking in her sent.
Just like Aika.
"I came to apologize, Hakaze said-"
"I don't care what Hakaze said." I sighed, pulling away from her.
I stared into her content eyes, full of guilt.

"Don't you have a heart Mahiro!?"
"I could say the same to you, you know you act like the queen of the world all the time." I rolled my eyes.
"And who said you weren't the king you big jerk!"

Jerk, huh? I walked straight past Y/N and continued on through the streets. Staring ahead as I went. How did some little fight turn into horribly judging each other?
Y/N is practically the only part of Aika I have left. Those two were best friends, and Aika would for some reason always drag me to watch her run on the track team.
I wonder if she'll continue to run after me.
I wonder what Hakaze actually said to her.
And Yoshino too.
Wait, didn't I say I didn't care?
I sighed again, turning into a clear to a space that didn't have as much people on it. I began to walk, this time, in peace.

Y/N P.O. V

You turned a corner, a space were no one ever went lead out into a field where the children usually played. The cherry blossoms from the trees flying in the wind, indicating spring.
The preparation of summer.
You huffed, out of breath as you spotted the lone Mahiro.
Just like walking.
"Mahiro!" You stated, in victory of finding him. You ran and rounded in front of him, bending over to catch a breath.
"Goodness, your like - a shadow, always, disappearing..." You said in between breaths.
You stood up again, facing Mahiro with fire in your eyes.
"Mahiro, I'm sorry I said all those things. It was stupid... I was stupid, but please forgive me, because the truth is... " You took a deep breath, heat prickling your cheeks.
"I'm in love with you." You blurted, forcing your eyes to stay on his.
You stood there for what seemed like hours, until finally, Mahiro began to walk away again.
What?! He's not even going to say something?! I just... I just... your kidding with me Mahiro!
"Hey- Mahiro!" You called out again, but he kept walking. Like a shadow, like a deaf man.
Like you didn't exist.
"Hey pretty girl!" Oh right, this part of the street was lonely because all the drunk idiots came here.
"Leave me alone." You mumbled angrily as you began to walk towards Mahiro again.
The man snatched my arm, "Come on he's not worth it." He whirled me around to face him, and you took that whirl to land a punch on his face.
"I'm not in the mood." You hissed, beginning to walk again. But there was more.
You were suddenly tripped, your back banging against the concrete. You kept your head up, though, luckily it didn't get hit hard enough to knock you out.
You clenched your teeth and opened one of your eyes only to have a steel toe boot slam onto your chest. You coughed, as he put weight on you.
You quickly moved your arms to his ankles, but to no avail.
"Get off you bastard." Seriously it's too early for this!
"Only if you cooperate."
"What makes you think I'll cooperate, with you drunk idiots?" You asked bluntly.
"Oh so we're going to be bad?" He leaned down, his face in right in front of yours and so you did the thing Aika would punch you for,
You spit on him.
He backed up, completely taking his foot off of you. He brought it back, and was about to land me one in the stomach, but I curled over and rose to my feet.
I gave him a kick in the gut and he wobbled back a bit, you took your chance and bolted, luckily getting away.
Though, just because they didn't seem to be coming after you, you didn't stop running. you then thought of Mahiro and paused, looking behind you, Mahiro was just around the corner hiding behind the wall so you couldn't see him when running by.
So that your attackers couldn't see him when he came out to beat them.
But you suppose you were able to prevent that by managing to get away.
"Mahiro..." You mumbled, walking slowly towards him, hoping he wouldn't side track.
"I meant what I said." You stated, just when you got close enough for him to hear.
He looked you dead in the eyes, and you were pleased to do the same.
he wasn't saying a word, probably lost trying to figure out what to say, if not anything at all.
You smirked, and closed the gap.
Smashing my your lips on Mahiro's, you forced yourself to pull away so he didn't have time to react.
"Cat got your tongue, Mahiro?" You asked in the sexiest voice you could manage.
He opened his mouth as if to speak, but no words came. You got Mahiro speechless. This could be interesting.
