"Y/N... He wanted me to tell you..."
You stood silent, in shock, unable to speak, move, even cry.
"He loved you."
You dropped to your knees, scarred, confused, feeling so... Alone.
You cried and screamed when you had gotten home, alone this time instead of with Wally by your side.
Everything had worked out perfectly.
We were going to leave this life behind weren't we?! The whole super hero thing?!
But you had chosen this life, and this end.

"I got it." You mumbled, backing up slightly from your desk, the wheels of your desk chair rolling in the silence.
Your notebook was three quarters full of pen ink which formed words, the computer was on and printed pieces of paper were stapled together and piled in portfolios all around you.
You may not be a genius scientist like Barry or Wally or Bart... Or the entire Speedster family for that matter, but you could still figure this much out if you put your mind to it.
"I got it! Eureka!"

-

"Y/N?" Dick began, looking fairly confused to see you coming through the Zeta tubes. Good thing the guys didn't have a mission today.
"Listen, Dick, I got it!"
"What do you mean you got it? Are you okay?"
"Am I okay? In fantastic! I figured it out! I'm not confused anymore, lost, sad, angry or anything!"
"Okay... What did you find out exactly?"
"Wally's not dead!"
His gaze softened and he frowned slightly, "Y/N..."
"No no no, don't give me that crap. Come on! Don't tell me you didn't think once that the whole situation was a little bit odd? I mean, no human can just fade away like that! Not even if he's a speedster!"
"What happened to him then?" Dick crossed his arms, tilting his head as he narrowed his eyes at you.
"Well, you see, since he was going so fast - to fast for him that is, his body couldn't take it - so basically his molecules or whatever, separated or something, your following me right?"
Dick sighed, "Yeah... And so our point is?"
"Right, so it may take him a long time, but he will come back together to human form and be able to live in this world again! He's not dead he's just... Somewhere else, you know? He's in an alternate dimension!"
"Y/N, listen, I think maybe your in denial. It's only been a few months, maybe I can hook you up with a therapist."
"What? No Dick, I don't need a therapist. It's been six months since Wally disappeared, it could still be a while until he-"
"Y/N he's not coming back."
"Dick why don't you believe me?"
"I just don't want it to hurt more when, well when..."
"When what? Listen here Dick, I've been working hard for almost four months now, to find proof and come to conclusion on this solution! I refuse to believe that anyone who fades away dies! It's stupid! It doesn't make sense! The only way a body is unable to be found or saved is when it's disintegrated by a bomb exploding on them or the body being shredded to bits - and even then there's parts of them left! Maybe if that's what happened, I'd believe Wally was actually dead!!" You yelled, storming out of the base.

...

It had been almost a year now, and you were sitting on the edge of the bed you used to share with Wally, your head hanging low as your hands clenched into fists holding the sheets beside you.
"Maybe Dick was right. I'm just in denial." You murmured to yourself. You had waited and waited, talking to the air like Wally could hear you, thinking you would be fine as long as you knew he'd eventually come back.
But no one else was on your side.
Even Barry had frowned at you.
A tear flew down your cheek, "Wally where are you? I'm trying but I don't know if I can handle this much longer..." You spoke up, praying for some kind of sign that he was there.
But as usual, nothing.
You quickly got up and walked out, despite it being past nine and the sun already set out you needed to take a walk. Being cooped up in the house all alone and in pain did you no good at all.
You walked aimlessly to nowhere around the neighborhood you lived in, and out towards the park. As the park came in sight, it suddenly started dribbling. You stopped momentarily and held your hand up, looking up at the grayish sky in the oncoming night times darkness you realized it would probably start to down pour, but something inside of you urged you to continue to go to the park.
stopping beside a tree, you tilted your head as you recognized it. It was the place you and Wally went out to on your first date. You could almost still see the red and white plaid blanket and brown knit picnic basket, ten sandwiches, two for you and eight for Wally, two soda bottles that looked like beer bottles. But because you both were so young and stupid, you pretended it was alcohol and drank away like it was the last day of your lives.
It wasn't the last though, it was the best. And as you smiled, The sky rumbled loudly and quickly a bright white-blue light came crashing down into the tree, easily flowing throughout the trunk and down into the ground, you yelped, small shards of lighting came out of the ground from the origin and lifted you easily up off the ground. Your mouth opened slightly as if to let out a scream, but your breath was lost as you saw something in the lighting. It looked like...
A man.
The lightning was gone as soon as it came, but it felt like you were in the air with it forever. Your body crashed back to the ground, and you groaned, wondering what the hell that was.
looking ahead at the ground, trying to regain your breath, you saw red shoes come into view. You followed the red shoes up to ripped yellow pants, seeing it wasn't just pants but a suit. You noticed red gloves covering shaking hands, and as you continued to lift your head, the flash sign burned brightest into your eyes. The only thing on his suit that wasn't ripped and coated with an odd dirt, was that symbol, that gave away everything.
"Y/N..."
"Eurika..." You mumbled. The man knelt down, his red hair was everywhere, but his green eyes were still just as bright, "Wally!" You whisper yelled.
"It took me so long, Y/n, but I managed to come back! It was you Y/N, that guided me back!" Wally cried out, his face bruised and scratched, he took hold of your shoulders and pulled you into him. You watched as the clouds began to clear and the rain stopped, and then, seemingly over the both of you, there was a rainbow.
"Eurika." You grinned.
