Confused Hearts and Minds

Prologue:

"Don't leave us, Jay," an eight-year old Rosie cried.

"Come on, Jay, don't leave us," an eleven-year old Ricky said.

"Yes, big bro Jay," a little 5-year old Jazz said. "And look at my other brothers, Nathan and Kevin, they're crying already."

"Come on, Jay. Please?" an eight-year old Risa said.

"Sorry, guys. But, I can't defy my alpha's order. Sorry," an eight-year old Jayden gave them a sad smile then walked away.

"No!!" Rosie cried harder and chased Jayden.

Jayden turned and hugged Rosie.

"Shh...Don't cry, Rosie. We will meet again. I promise. I also can't bare to think that I'm gonna be away from you for years. It's hard for me, Rose, but I have to endure it because someday we'll be together," he said then kissed Rosie's forehead.

"Really?" Rosie asked.

"really. How can we not be together? We're mates," Jayden smiled.

"huh? What's a mate?" Rosie said.

"Someday, if you're old enough, you'll know it," Jayden answered while smiling.

"Ok and if that time comes, I'm gonna wait for you," Rosie said then smiled.

"Yeah. You do that. Goodbye, rosie. Take care of yourself. Always remember that you'll always be in my heart," Jayden said and kissed Rosie in the forehead.

"Goodvye, Jay," Rosie said and hugged Jayden.

Rosie pulled away and ran back to Ricky and the others.

"Bye bye, Jay!" Risa called.

"Bye bye, guys!" Jayden said to them as he waved then ran into the waiting van.

"We'll meet again, Rosie. And when that time comes, I know we'll be together. So, please just bare for it and wait for me," Jayden thought.
