How does someone move on when she’s in love with a cartoon character? *sigh*

Chapter 27- Jazz

Jayden’s POV:

I can’t understand why she’s still not waking up! I mean, it’s been fvcking two days since she shifted!

“Mom, when will she wake up?” I asked my mom softly.

“The pack doctor said that she’ll wake up soon. They don’t know when,” my mom replied.

“Son. Maybe you should get some sleep,” dad said.

I sighed.

“It’s okay, dad. I want to be with Rosie when she wakes up,” I said.

Rosie, please wake up.

Then, someone knocked at the door.

“Come in,” dad said.

The door opened and revealed a pack member.

“Alpha, the patrol unit spotted intruders,” he said.

Intruders? Why now?

“How many?” dad asked.

“Three, alpha,” the member said meekly.

“Only three?! Can’t you handle those on your own?!” my dad said angrily.

“We tried, Alpha! B-but there were already casualties including a S-Star, s-sir,” he said then bowed.

My heart suddenly stopped when he said “Star”.

“W-who?” I asked, not facing the pack member.

“J-Jazz Star, sir,” he said meekly.

Jazz?

I looked at Rosie.

Rose, you have to wake up now. You’re brother’s hurt.

“Jazz? How the hell did he get hurt?!” my dad said angrily.

“H-he tried to fight the intruders, A-Alpha,” the pack member said.

“What the hell are those intruders? Are they vampires to defeat even one of the descendants of the Barange Family?!” my dad said.

“A-actually, s-sir, they are vampires,” the pack member said.

My mom gasped.

My father cursed.

“Honey, I think we should check on the situation,” my mom said.

“Yeah. I think so, too,” my dad said.

“I’m coming,” I said then stood up.

“But, son…” mom said.

“It’s okay, Shontelle, I’ll look after Rosie,” someone said by the door.

I turned and saw Risa looking miserable. Unlike Rosie, she woke up a day after they shifted. I noticed her eyes were swollen and red.

“Are you sure you’re gonna be okay?” I asked her.

“Yeah. Jordan’s gonna be here later,” she said then sniffed.

Just then, Jordan arrived.

“Don’t worry, Jay. I’ll take good care to the both of them,” he said then smiled weakly.
