Reagan's POV
I get the call at work that they took my mom off of life support. And for some odd reason I don't let it affect my work. I'm not as sad as I thought I would be, I'm actually quite neutral. Gary comes over and gives me a sad look.
" Hey how are you hanging in there?" Gary asks.
" I'm fine. It was bound to happen." I say.
" I'm just glad you're okay." Gary says.
" Thank you. Did you get your invitation?" I ask.
" Yes. Me and my wife will be there." Gary says.
" Thanks for the RSVP." I chuckle.
He chuckles and go back into his office. I walk into the kitchen and see Zander cooking his beef.
" Heyyyyyy." I say.
He turns around and smiles when he sees me.
" Where have you been?" Zander asks.
" Oh my mom died." I say.
Zander's face falls.
" I am so sorry." Zander says.
He pulls me into a hug.
" I'm fine." I sigh.
I release myself from his arms. I don't want the sympathy.
" Oh my God. Your mom just died and you're fine? Are you high?" Zander asks.
" Zander! I'm five months pregnant!" I laugh.
" Okay and? I've just never met anyone fine with their mother dying." Zander says.
" Well I'm a first." I say.
Zander sighs and just looks at me.
" What?" I ask.
" You're not fine at all. This must be some coping mechanism but I see right through it. You're the most emotionally stable pregnant woman I have ever met. Alright I won't talk about anything more." Zander says.
" Thank you." I sigh.
" I'm RSVPing right now. I'm coming." Zander says.
" Okay cool. See you there." I smile.

Adam's POV
" Okay we need a hiding spot for this ring." Orion says.
Talia's head pops out of nowhere.
" What ring? Ooh let me see." Talia says.
" You have to promise you won't say anything." Orion says.
Rookie mistake Orion rookie mistake. He opens the box and shows her the ring. Talia's eyes light up and I just shake my head knowing she's not going to keep her mouth shut.
" Is this for Reagan?" Talia squeals.
" Nope." I say.
Orion and Talia looks confused then Talia's eyes widen.
" Then it's for me?!" Talia squeals.
" Nope." I say.
I grab the ring and walk into the nursery. Orion follows me in there.
" What was that out there?" Orion asks.
" Why would you tell Reagan's best friend about her engagement ring?" I ask.
The door swings open.
" You're proposing to Reagan?! When?!" Talia asks.
I look down and shake my head.
" Don't worry. My lips are sealed." Talia says.
" No they're not." I say.
" I never told anyone about you peeing your pants from seeing Insidious 3 or Orion being scared of grey cats." Talia says.
Orion and I bust out into laughter then look at each other.
" Hey." We say.
Talia shrugs her shoulders and walks out.
" Really? Insidious 3? That wasn't even the scariest one." Orion says.
" Really? Grey cats? Why grey cats? What's so scary about them?" I ask.
" Touché." Orion says.
" Shut up." I laugh.
