Luckily today was payday. Right now, we're going back to Talia's house to count our money we have been saving up to move into an apartment. I walk into Talia's house and see Orion on the couch. I walk over to him and sit next to him. He smiles then kisses my forehead.
" How was work today?" Orion asks.
" Hmm. Eventful." I say.
" Huh?" Orion asks.
" Okay so far we all have 14,009 dollars all together." Adam says.
" Plus." I say.
I throw my envelope on the coffee table. Adam sighs as he opens the envelope to count the money.
" How was your day eventful?" Orion asks.
" Okay so we have enough money to get both the apartment and furniture." Talia says.
" Now we have 15,259 dollars." Adam says.
" So Adam and I have explored a few options." Orion says.
He grabs a folded piece of paper out of his back pocket. Talia unfolds the paper and looks at it.
" Ooh this one is nice." Talia says.
She passes it to me.
" I like the inside." I say.
" But?" Orion asks.
" What?" I ask.
" You always have something to say after that when you end a sentence like that." Talia says.
" But I don't like the washer and dryer." I confess.
" Okay so not this one." Adam says.
He crosses it out.
" How about this one?" Talia asks.
" Bad area." I say.
" How did you-never mind." Orion says.
" This one?" Talia asks.
" Doesn't have a good manager." I say.
" How do you know so much about apartments?" Adam asks.
" My dad is a real estate agent." I chuckle.
" This one?" Talia asks.
" The people are just plain weird." I say.
" This one?" Talia asks.
" Doesn't allow pets." I say.
" What does that have to do with anything, babe?" Orion asks.
" I want this place to be perfect for our baby." I smile.
Orion sighs and then rubs my stomach.
" Hi, baby." Orion smiles.
" Why don't we just call your dad?" Adam asks.
" I want to be perfect for us not what he thinks is perfect." I say.
" Valid. Valid." Adam says.
" This one?" Talia asks.
" That's a old people home, Talia." I laugh.
She laughs.
" This one?" Talia asks.
I look at it and study it. I like it. Good area. Good people. Good manager. Good inside. Good washer and dryer. Good everything.
" I think this one might be a yes." Orion smiles.
" We can check it out tomorrow." I say.
Everyone cheers.
" Then we have to go furniture shopping." Adam says.
" No. No. No. Reagan and I will be furniture shopping." Talia says.
I laugh.
" Now why is that?" Orion asks.
" Babe, our house is going to have themes." I say.
" Huh?' Adam and Orion ask.
" The kitchen is going to be cafe themed." I say.
" Why?" Orion asks.
" Then the living room will be straight out of a magazine themed." Talia says.
" Ooh yes." I say.
" Then the bathroom can be beach themed." Adam mocks us.
" That would be cute." Talia and I say.
Adam scoffs then rolls his eyes.
