luke could be talked into doing anything. he didn't have a strong enough ability to say no to someone. he couldn't stand it, because in the end, he would always agree to something he would either regret later, or he would be glad he was talked into whatever situation it was.

"go on a date with me," calum's words were almost impossible to understand as he shoved a handful of chips in his mouth.

luke furrowed together his eyebrows, on the verge of yelling at the tanned boy for talking with his mouth full, but decided he would let it pass, "listen, i'm flattered, but i already told you that i am not helping you figure out your sexuality."

"that's not what I meant," calum rolled his eyes as he swung his feet off of luke's legs so he was now sitting up next to his friend, "i met someone and he asked me to go out on a date with him, so i asked if i could bring you along."

"you want me to be a third wheel? I think I'll pass," luke shook his head, pushing himself up off the couch and entered the kitchen, looking for something to drink. the fridge and cabinets were nearly empty. he desperately had to go grocery shopping.

the footsteps that luke hear following him meant calum has not given up on forcing his best friend to go. being best friends for so many years, calum knew he could ease the blonde into this. it would be easy with some convincing.

"come on, it will be fun. he has a roommate he can bring for you," calum wiggled his eyebrows, a hopeful smile set his lips.

"I don't want to be set up on a blind date, cal. there's no reason for me to join you guys," luke really did not want to intrude, "why do you need me to come along anyways?"

calum sighed loudly, wishing luke could agree and not put up a fight, "you haven't been out with someone in ages, have some fun, luke," he encourages, completely ignoring luke's question.

he opened his mouth, ready to decline again, but seeing the desperate, pleading look on calum's face made him rethink.

he knew this would be a good way to meet the guy who made calum question his sexuality. it was something calum wanted to happen, to have one of the most important people in his life approve of the guy he met. he wanted to hear what luke thought of him because his opinion meant a lot.

"fine, I'll go," luke agreed, "but I'm not going to enjoy this."

the smile on calum's face made agreeing to this worth it. and for some odd, unknown reason, michael popped up into luke's mind. he wish he could be taking him on a date.
