Mortals Meet

Zach Greene

I was late for school again. I walked into the office and saw that a very beautiful girl was at the front desk getting her schedule.

"Ah just in time Zach, why don't you show Annabeth around?"

"Sure." I said while nodding my head towards the girl. She followed me out.

"So you're new here?"

"Yeah, I just moved here from Calfornia."

"That's cool. So how come you moved here? Dad transferred or..?

"Actually my boyfriend goes here."

"That's cool. What's his name?"

"I'm pretty sure you'll get to know by lunch." She said while walking into her first class English.

I then bolted towards my first class Maths.

SKIP TO LUNCH.

"For the last time guys, I'm not interested in dating anyone, I already have a girlfriend." Said Percy as we all walked towards the cafeteria.

"Oh yeah, the same blonde haired, grey eyed beauty who we have never met because she lives in California and goes to the same summer camp as you. So convenient Perce." Said Jacob.

"Shut up Jack, she is very much real."

Percy reached for the pocket in his hoodie and pulled out his phone. He unlocked it and showed us that his screen-saver was a girl just like the one he described on his back and smiling at the camera.

"Perce do tell your friend that he is very good at Photoshop."

"Oh my gods, I just give up on all of you."

He said while pushing open the doors of the cafeteria.

The chatter almost instantaneously drowned out the conversation we were having. We walked towards our usual table and sat down.

We continued our previous conversation.

"Look I'm tired of explaining myself to you guys. If you don't want to believe me I can't help it."

"Guys she is legit, I've met her." Said Eric.

"Eric that's easy for you to say because you go to same camp as Percy."

"For all you know, Percy could have paid you to say that."

"Well he didn't." said a very familiar voice.

All the heads on the table turned around to face her.

"WISE GIRL!" screamed Percy while he got up to hug her.

"Hey seaweed brain."

"Oh my gods I missed you so much. I love you Wise Girl."

"I love you Percy."

"HEY ANNABETH" screamed Eric while getting up to hug her.

"Hey Eric, how's English going?"

"You know same old same old."

"So friends I'd like to introduce you to Annabeth. My girlfriend."

"You're real?"
