Chapter 15: Twitter War

Valerie’s POV:

“Kiara and Niall are both in their room,” I said after getting a text from Danielle, “And Kiara’s ill.” Louis raised an eyebrow.

“How ill?” he asked.

“She’s got an inner ear infection,” I said, checking the text again, “But it’s giving her a headache and making her dizzy.” I got another text from Danielle and sighed when I read it, “It’s also making her throw up.” Louis grimaced.

“Is someone there taking care of them?” Louis asked. I shrugged.

“Either Liam and Danielle will,” I said, “Or Dan will come and help to take care of them.”

Louis and I had found a nice little café and we were sitting at a booth in the back, unseen by those outside. I checked to time and saw that it was around noon.

“Its noon, what time is sound check?” I asked.

“In about two hours,” Louis replied. He took out his phone and after a few seconds his eyebrows furrowed and he typed something quickly. This was repeated several times before Louis let out a frustrated sigh.

“Louis?” I said, getting his attention, “Something wrong?” Louis shrugged and glanced back at his phone.

“Not really,” he said, “It’s just Tom Parker’s picking a fight with me on twitter.”

“From The Wanted?” I asked. Louis nodded. I took my phone out and went on twitter to see what was being said. Immediately I saw that #TeamLouis, #thingsbetterthanthewanted, and #TomShutUpAndMakeASandwichToDirectioners was trending. I chuckled and looked at what Tom was saying.

@TomTheWanted: you even talk about us at your own gigs. Are you that upset you didn’t get in this band?

@Louis_Tomlinson: Pal, we both know I wouldn’t waste my time auditioning for your band. You humour me with your bad boy persona

I looked up at Louis and raised an eyebrow.

“Really Louis? Wets the bed?” Louis smiled sheepishly.

“Maybe…” I rolled my eyes and read the rest of the tweets.

“Does that last one mean what I think it does?” I asked Louis. He nodded.

“He’s talking about ‘Larry’,” he said, using air quotes.

“Isn’t “It Gets Better” a project all about stopping the bullying of LGBT youth?” Louis nodded.

“Yeah,” he said. I sighed and rubbed my eyes. I typed out a tweet.

I got a response almost immediately.

“Ugh!” I growled in disgust.

I went back to my mentions and saw that the fans were loving how I was defending Louis. I glanced at the trends and #ValStylesDefendYoMan was trending. I couldn’t help but chuckle.

I saw that Liam and the others had responded.

Louis had stood up and walked over to me. He took my hand, and pulled me standing.

“Have I ever told you how incredibly amazing you are?” he asked as he twirled me around. I laughed and the spinning stopped and Louis pulled me close to him.

“I don’t recall,” I teased. He chuckled.

“Well you are,” he said, “So amazing I can’t even put it into words.”
