"Go away I'm busy."

"I would but you've been saying that for the past three days. When's the last time you've touched grass."

He doesn't respond and you walk over to his desk and take a bunch of his papers. "Y/n give those back." He says with a sigh.

"Are you gonna come outside?"

"I will not be bribed like this."

"Oh but you will if you value all the hard work you've been doing." You say holding the papers like you were gonna rip them.

"Don't you dare."

"You and I both know that I will."

Law groans and gives into your request. "Fine. I'll go outside with you just give me my work back please."

"Promise you'll take a break with me?" You say with skepticism.

"Yes yes."

You put the papers back on his desk and take his hand dragging him out of his room. He squints at the sunlight as you pull him outside already starting to regret letting you convince him to come out.

"Let's get this over with." He grumbles.

"Law, baby, you've been working way too much recently. We're not going back to the sub until you've had some time to properly relax."

Law takes a deep breath of fresh air. "There I've been relaxed now will you let me get back to my work?"

"Very cute Law. Now, let's go."

He grumbles and let's you drag him along through the village. Even after letting him lose in a bookstore for almost an hour and buying him some new medical books and lunch, his sour mood has still not improved.

"We've been out here for hours, can I please get back to work."

You frown. "I guess so. Sorry this was a waste for you." You mumble.

Law sighs and stops walking. "That's not what I said. I enjoy spending time with you, don't get me wrong," he says taking your hands in his, "I'm just very distracted with the work I have left to finish."

"I thought a break would help."

"I understand." He says tilting you chin up to look at him. "I'm just not that kinda person. I only take a break after I'm done working. Taking breaks in between periods of working just don't work for me."

"I'm sorry, I thought I was being helpful."

Law kisses the top of your head. "You are being helpful. Why don't we take the long way back okay?" He says with a small smile.

"Okay." You say returning his smile.

He takes your hand with a smile and takes you outside the city and start to walk back. You chat and laugh with him as your mood starts to brighten. You and Law race down the hill and collapse on the ground laughing.

Law grabs your waist and pulls you towards him and pecks your lips with a smile. "I won that." You say against his lips.

"Haha yeah right. You could never beat me."

"Wanna bet?" You say with a smile.

"Maybe another time." Law says with a sigh letting wind brush the grass against his face.

You move and lay down next to him and turn to face him. "You look happier now." You say with a smile.

"Hmm, do I?" He says with a wistful smile.

"Yeah it's nice." You say ajusting so your head is resting on his chest.

"Honestly, I wouldn't mind staying like this for a few more minutes." He says lazily, running his fingers through your hair.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"I thought you didn't take breaks in the middle of work." You tease.

He chuckles and rolls over so he's on top of you, his head resting on your shoulder and his breath on your neck. "Maybe some time with you is exactly what I needed."
