Thanatos-

I had gone home early, she was having so much fun and I was happy for her, Soteria was there to make sure she remained safe.

I cleaned the house how she liked it, fixing her bookshelf to make sure none of the books were falling over.

I knew she was nervous I was lying to her about being okay.

I...was.

Of course I hate everyone wanting to be with her.

And of course I despised not being with her every moment.

And of course I wanted to put my fist down people's throats for how they stared at her.

But doing what I had selfishly desired would cause her more trouble.

The last thing I wanted was for her to be mad at me.

So I peacefully left.

I had organized the side of her closet, polishing all of her white heels.

I had wiped our vanity counter down, making sure it was spotless.

I had bought "Frostproof" Gardenias to put in small vases, one on her nightstand, one on the kitchen table, one in the bathroom.

I unboxed her stuff

I unboxed her stuff. I had ordered refills on her perfumes, lotion, and hair products for her curls from the little human world and had Hera bring them to me.

I couldn't be there in my human form. I looked too strange.

So I often sent the Goddesses closest to me and Amara to get things.

I placed the perfumes and lotions where they always were, as well as swapping her her hair stuff for the new supply.

I checked the clock, it was 12 am and I began itching for her to come back.

But I ignored the feeling, calling her instead.

"Hello." She answered.

"How's it going?" I asked.

"Good! I'm about to leave. I feel gross and have to shower." She told me.

Relief flooded my body.

"Okay, there's no rush but please rush." I mumbled.

She laughed.

"I will."

"Be safe, have Soteria walk you. Please?"

"Okay. I'll be home soon." She hummed happily before hanging up.

I kept track of every second, hypersensitive to her being here.

Now.

I kept murmuring now to myself hoping she'd pop through the door.

Now.

Nope. Damn it.

Now.

Shit.

Now.

I had to stop.

I mentally noted the alphabet to myself.

A, B, C, D, E, F, G- Now.

"No." I groaned.

H, I, J, K, elemeno, P- Now.

I heard the door click open.

"It's me." She said.

Thank fuck.

I heard her say goodnight to Soteria, the door shutting before it locked.

I stood, walking from the bathroom to her.

"You're making this place a sauna." She began opening the windows.

"Sorry." I was itching to touch her.

I don't know why the fuck I was having so many problems tonight.

She then skipped happily to me, jumping onto me, her legs around my waist, arms around my neck.

"Hello." She hummed, lying her head on my shoulder.

My body felt like ice, any bad gut feeling I had immediately dissipated now that she was home and with me.

Not with everyone else. My selfish ass.

"Had fun?" I asked.

"Lots." She yawned.

"Those are cool." She pointed to the flowers and I hummed.

She held onto me, kissing my cheek, my jaw, my neck.

"What's that for?" I asked.

"Because." She sat up, her body perfectly onto mine in a less cute way, more she wanted something from me, kinda way.

"Shouldn't you shower?" I asked.

"Nope." She hummed, her teeth grazing my throat.

"Amara."

She bit down and I hummed, my body feeling electric as she pulled back, looking at the blood running down my body.

She moved her hands into my hair and pressed her lips to mine.

I moaned, expecting to taste alcohol that was making her act this way, no, it was her.

"You're not drunk?" I asked.

"Not at all. Lost my taste after you made my wine boil. I'm sober. I just want you." She told me and immediately I began walking us to our room, lying her on the bed.

"What do you want then?" I asked.

"For you to fuck me. Good." She smirked.
