[Mako's apartment]

Mad was an understatement. Mako kept you up half the night with his hips buried between you, with his hands gripped so tight around your waist, he could practically break them in two. Begging him to slow down had become worthless, he had already told you that he wasn't going to stop, not until he felt satisfied with your punishment. As if you hadn't come six times already. As if the only sound left in the room after two hours weren't your desperate gasps against his hot chest,

"Fuck! M-Mako. H-How many times do I have to say I'm sorry?"
"I heard you," Mako hissed into your neck, "But that doesn't mean I'm done," he grinned slyly before he rammed deep inside of you,
"Damn it!–
"Plus, I know you don't really mean it," he smirked before he bit both of your nipples, his hardness still stretching you beyond your limits, your juices completely soaked through the sheets,
"Shit! I–
"But if you point another gun at me," Mako growled with every thrust, his thumb gently resting on your clit while he entered you over and over again, his lips just an inch behind your ear, "We'll be having this same conversation with that pretty little mouth of yours taped shut," he whispered,
"Mako! P-Please, I-I can't cum again," you whined breathlessly,
"Hmph. Well, that's a shame," he teased, swirling his thumb faster and faster despite how hard you had been clawing into his back, "Because it looks like you're still gonna,"

[Air Temple Island] - early the next morning

"Restore her bending!?" Tenzin roared as he rose from his desk, "Captain Saikhan, h-have you completely lost your mind?"
"No, we lost a prisoner," Varrick reminded him, "Weren't you listening?"
"Umm, Mr. Blackstone, Varrick, sir could you give us a minute?" Warden Feng asked softly,
"Hmph. Gladly," Varrick yawned before he stood, "Let me know when you get baldy up to speed. Zhu Li! Coffee! Stat,"
"Right away sir,"
"I should've known you two weren't just popping in for a visit," Tenzin groaned when he sat back down, "Especially with him. He's as shady as they come,"
"That may be, but he still owns the prison," Warden Feng reminded him, "Which means every captain, every supervisor, every guard, every one of my staff. Do I even need to include myself, the nurses, and the 28 thousand prisoners—
"Alright. I get it," Tenzin interrupted, "But...but why her?"
"She just might be the only one strong enough to take him down," Warden Feng sighed after tossing a stack of files on Tenzin's desk, "Knowing Shah, he's not particularly easy to capture,"
"Resisting arrest, bribery, racketeering, money laundering–
"And since Uri has a habit of injuring my officers," Saikhan scoffed while Tenzin kept reading, "I figured I let him take a spin with someone just as twisted as he is,"
"Wait. What's this here? His medical records show Shah Uri's a non-bender. In this witness statement, it says he flew out of the prison. How is that possible?"
"We were hoping you could tell us," Warden Feng nodded,
"Have there been any reports of new airbenders in the city?" Saikhan asked,
"Not to my knowledge," Tenzin said before he rose to his feet again and stared out the large bay window, "And the first batch of airbenders only showed up because of Harmonic Convergence when Korra opened the portal," he reminded them, "It hasn't been tampered with in six years,"
"So he's not an airbender," Saikhan huffed,
"Well he's definitely something," Warden Feng hissed, "We had him for 11 hours. In that time he made one phone call and just like that he's gone?"
"A phone call to who?" Tenzin questioned,
"Another prison," Warden Feng breathed in frustration,
"Which one?"
"Hmph. Boiling Rock,"

[Mako's apartment] – 7:30 AM

The sound of your light snores brought a smirk to Mako's face when his alarm finally went off. Sure it was devious of him to do, but he knew he needed to tire you out. Completely out. That way, you'd be too spent to hear him get out of bed. Had you been awake, he knew you would've argued with him the entire time he got dressed and begged him to keep his promise, but Mako knew this way was better. Oddly enough, part of him still wanted you to do it. Even as he sipped his coffee in the bedroom doorway, watching you whine softly into your pillow, he couldn't help but miss your pissy mood. Nonetheless, he didn't care how badly you wanted to go with him. This case was growing by the day and keeping you out of the crossfire was the safest option,
