to never see the beauty of life
to never breathe clean air
what i did do is leave
leaving to protect you
or was it to protect myself
in reality
what i did was equal to never feeling the breeze in the summer
to never hear music
to never be able to feel touch
to never float on a body of water
i'm a terrible person
i get angry over nothing then spit it out
i created a world full of pain and left you to drown in it
forgiveness is never what i deserve
what i did to you was equal to never eating your favorite foods
to never smell flowers
to never see a place you've always to go
to never be able to hold onto sweet memories
to never follow your dreams
but i think the worst thing i did to you
was ruin the very thing you're so good at giving
love
pure love
genuine love
forever love
what i did was equal to being the person i never wanted to become
