Bliss
With each step I take I feel more nervous .
I am hot maybe it is the fact that I have on a tweed coat . I thought it looked like Chanel so I thought it would be great for the 1 st day of school .
" Hi Mrs. Glass I heard my name over the loud speaker ."'I say with a shaky voice
She looks at me and smiles . She is such a nice old lady .
" you can go in dear "
She tells me
" Umm Do you happen to know why the Principal wants to see me ." I ask nervously
" I don't know but I am sure it is nothing bad you have never done nothing wrong Bliss" she tells me
This makes me feel better but I still have no ideal what it could be .
There is only one way to find out .
With a racing heart I open the door .
I take in the sight before me . There is the principal no surprise there since we are in his office , but Mr. Higgs and coach Rafferty is here and the most surprising of all is Jax Raines . What why would I be in here with the star quarterback and the coach . I really don't understand what is happening.
" Miss Peterson" the principal greets me
" Hi" I barley get out
I glance at Jax who is looking down .
" How was your summer " mr. Higgs asks
As he gets up and motions for me to sit in the seat he was just in .
I take a seat and answer Mr.Higgs with
" Good"
I would usually be polite and ask him how his summer was but the words didn't come out .
Thoughts are swirling around in my mind .
Did I do something wrong?
Did someone set me up for something they did ?
I cross my legs I notice Jax looking down but he seems to be mad or something . Jerk of a jock
" You are probably wondering why you are here." The principal asks
" The thought has crossed my mind "
I reply
Jax looks up at me for the first time since I been in the room .
I hear the other 3 men laugh I didn't mean for it to be funny I was just saying what I was thinking.
" You are a excellent student one of the best in the whole school " the principal tells me
I proudly smile .
" See our Star quarterback. Needs some help. " The coach tells me
" Hi I am Jax Ranies" Jax says and leans toward me and reaches his hand out for me to shake
" I know who you are" I state
He is Jax Raines the star quarterback everyone knows him and we only been in school together basically our whole lives.
" I don't understand what I can do " I say and look toward the coach
" His grade are bad " Mr. Higgs says
So like what they want me to tutor him for a few weeks maybe I could do that I mean I hate jocks but once or twice wouldn't be so bad .
" What is he failing in " I ask
" Everything" Mr. Higgs
" Everything " I mirror his words
How can he be failing everything.
