A few months had passed and the Armed Detective Agency still didn't know about Dazai's traitorous deed.

One day, as Chuuya and Dazai were out on another joint mission, the two had been subconsciously bickering-flirting.

Akutagawa and Atsushi seemed confused. The two upperclassmen, their superiors, were either arguing yet again, or flirting.

"Eh... Dazai-san?" Atsushi called out, hesitating to tap his superior on the shoulder.

"Dazai-san, Chuuya-san.. What are you doi-"

"Oh please, Chuu. At least I'm not the one who gets all submissive when my power gets out of control. And I mean that in both. Ways."
"You son of a-"

"Oi! Mind answering our questions?" Akutagawa spoke loudly, catching the attention of the brunette and the ginger.

"Eh?" The two males asked in unison.

"Are you two flirting or arguing?" Akutagawa asked before Atsushi could say a thing.

"Why not both?" Dazai winked at Chuuya who was obviously still red from the insult.

"Eh- Hah?!" The older hissed as a gust of wind blew past them.

The ginger's dancing hair had caught the eye of the taller one.

Dazai's gaze had gone softer and more loving at the sight of the beautiful man standing beside him.

The man's soft hair had blown softly in the wind like the leaves of a tree swaying in the wind.

Chuuya had noticed this along with Atsushi and Akutagawa and tried to call out to Dazai who seemed to be in his own world.

"Dazai!" Chuuya called out.

"Oi, Dazai!" He exclaimed before slapping Dazai.

"Ah..." The anthracite-eyed male hissed, his lip now bleeding from the sudden slap and his cheek stinging.

"Chibi~~~ That hurtt!!" He whined.

"You deserved it."
"So mean."
"Get that pout off your face and focus on the mission."
"Finee."

After the four had finished the mission successfully, they had parted ways to go home.

Once Atsushi and Akutagawa were out of their fields of vision, the tall brunette and the short ginger had went back to each other and made their way home together.

Dazai was fully moved in with Chuuya at this point and the short one had loved it, yet also hated it.

But as long as it meant that they would be together, he didn't mind at all.

"Chooyahhh!" Dazai called out to the male that was cooking them dinner.

"What?" The shorter answered gingerly.

"What are you making??" The brunette questioned, putting the paperwork he was forced to do down in annoyance.

"Well, I found this recipe on how to make this dish called tinola and it's just chicken soup with more vegetables." The shorter one said.
"It's a Filipino dish and apparently, it's supposed to taste like heaven."

"Ooooh! I wanna try!" The taller cooed in amazement.

"Later. Just continue your paperwork. This will be a reward for you if you finish it."
"But, Chu-"
"No."
"Fineee!"

*****

Chuuya had set the two bowls of rice down on the table with the large bowl containing the tinola.

"Here." Chuuya said, sitting down.

"Wahhh! It looks and smells so tasty!!!" Dazai cheered.

He took his spoon and took a try of the soup.
His eyes had lightened up in joy as the liquid dripped onto his tongue.

"Wahh!!! It's so tasty!!" He cheered.

He took the ladle and put some more on his rice.

"Really?" Chuuya asked before taking a try on the soup himself.

Once the sweet liquid landed onto his taste buds, his eyes had also grown wide at it.

The two ate the food joyfully as it was delicious.

*****

The two had sat on the sofa after eating and washing the dishes.

They were watching television with their favourite show on.

The two were cuddling in a blanket as it was a cold night despite the warm morning.

"Chuuya.." Dazai muttered as if he was trying to ask the other something he wanted to, but couldn't say.

"Hm?" The older hummed, looking fondly into the younger's anthracite eyes.

"Um.. How would you feel if I had.." He hesitated, not being able to word it right.

"If you had what?"
"If I had broken my promise to you?"

The older's eyes had grown wide and his gaze went from a loving one to a sad one.

"... Chuuya?"
"I'd rather not talk about it."
