Chapter 50: Soobin's Cat

It was an awkward situation. This person was shy, to begin with, but thinking that her girlfriend would praise her, she had been staying strong.

To make it look good, she had even gotten the big tail and bought a bunch of ocean-themed props to put on the bed.

Originally, she thought Jiyeon would like it, but who knew she would laugh like that? Was it because she wasn't beautiful?

Her face wrinkling as she frowned. She looked at Jiyeon, then at her tail, and her nose started to prickle as her face flushed.

She wanted to escape to the washroom, but because the tail made it too hard to move, she could only turn her face away huffily.

She was on the verge of tears, and Jiyeon finally acted in the nick of time. She had regretted it the moment she laughed, thinking, it was over, this crybaby would be angry and throw a tantrum.

But she couldn't hold it in. She even stood there and laughed for a while.

This scene was too impactful.

Who could have thought...... The normally aloof and stern Kim Hyunjung could put on a costume like this and pretend to be a mermaid on her bed.

She even styled her hair and tried to make it look like what they saw in the underwater world that day, with the pearl necklace and shells. At a glance, she did feel like a mermaid, beautiful and good-looking.

And she was incredibly, incredibly cute. She was the prettiest mermaid she had ever seen.

"When did I catch a mermaid home......" Realizing her smile wouldn't go away any time soon, Jiyeon decided not to hold it back anymore.

She stepped forward, sitting down next to Hyunjung and leaning her head on her legs, against that fire-red tail.

She didn't expect it to feel so nice to the touch. Jiyeon smiled, caressing the material with her hand shamelessly, praising as she touched: "So pretty!"

Hyunjung's gaze finally moved back.

She stole a glance at Jiyeon, then asked with a bit of trepidation: "Really?"

Jiyeon quickly nodded, and flattered her even harder: "Yes, yes, so beautiful you're without an equal."

"Paired with my girlfriend's face, it's drop-dead beautiful."

Hearing that, her heart finally stopped twisting. Her confidence was finally restored and she gently "hmph" -ed before lowering her head and kissing Jiyeon a few times.

She even asked: "Do you like red? If you don't like it, it's fine. I'm a mermaid who can change colors......"

As if she was revealing a big secret.

Jiyeon immediately got excited: "What do you mean change colors?"

Hyunjung gently pushed her, indicating for her to get off first before she rolled over on the bed and showed the back to Jiyeon.

It was then that she discovered, that this tail had two colors! The front was red and the back was pink, with a subtle gradient between the colors.
