August POV-

"A3 you not gon do this every morning."

I took down Amber's robe hanging on the back of the bathroom door that Auggie clung on to, instead of washing his face and brushing his teeth.

"I want mommy." He screamed and jumped up and down.

"You gon get a gotdamn belt, keep playing. Brush your teeth." I put toothpaste on his tooth brush and handed it to him.

"No." He huffed, hiccupping from the tears and folding his arms.

"August, you testing me." I held out the toothbrush to him.

"No." He knocked it out my hand and ran out.

"Mommyyyyy." He ran out the bathroom and laid on my bedroom floor kicking and screaming.

He had did this every day this week. It was now Friday. I gave him a couple of days to let it out, but now I was finna tear that ass up. I got a small belt out my closet.

"Get yo ass up. And get in there and brush your teeth." I pointed the belt at him.

He quickly got up and went in there to brush his teeth. His little chest pumping up and down as he hiccupped from all the crying. His eyes and bronze skin now red.

I sat on the edge of my bed with my head in my hands, this little boy was giving me a headache. I knew he loved his mama but damn. I have never seen somebody so attached to a person.

You'd think Amb left us or something. How the hell did he get so attached? I don't know what he's going to do when the new baby comes and he is not the center of Amb's focus.

I looked up when I heard a tiny voice and a soft pat on my knee.

"Pop-pop."

"What A3?" I looked at him annoyed.

"I sorry. I just want mommy. I miss her." Tiny tears fell from his eyes and he wiped his running nose.

I sighed trying to remember he was only a three. Technically still a baby and picked him up and put him on my lap.

"Auggie I tell you every morning your mother has work. You'll see her after school when she picks you up from your grandmother's house."

"But why?"

"Because she likes her new job and it makes her happy. Don't you want to see mommy happy?"

"Not if I can't see her."

I chuckled and shook my head.

"You acting like she left us boy."

"I don't like not seeing her when I wake up and she doesn't kiss me good bye. That makes me sad."

"I tell you what. If you make me a promise, I'll make you a promise okay?"

"Okay." He shook his head.

"If I take you to visit mommy at court, you promise to stop giving me a hard time in the mornings. Deal?" I put out my pinky.

"Deal." He gave me a pinky swear.

"Aight. Come on get dressed and washed up." I kissed his forehead and took him by the hand into Sata's room.

"Sata put on your Easter dress. We going to visit mommy at court."

"That means no school?" She said excited.

"Girl get ready." I laughed.

"Yay!!! Thank you daddy!" She hugged me tight.
