We were inside the Capital of the dead.
I hadn't quite gotten over the fact that I probably really had the strength to open the portal.
Maybe it's because I'm a halfling.
That would at least sound logical to me.
At least as far as I know it makes the most sense.
Maybe it has to do with my background, just my background and the people of that group could do that too.
I also don't really have parents to ask, well I have my father Gloxinia, but that's very different..
Gloxinia is special..and for me really the only parent.
My biological parents left me and he took me under his wing.
He protected me and brought me life as it is today.
If I lost him I would literally lose myself.
Gloxinia is my one and only family in my head.
Ungrown families such as Zeldris, Estarossa and Derieri for example.
And I'm really thankful for all of them.
Everyone in this family is a bit hectic, but the different races/clans are starting to get used to each other.
But if anything ever happened, they would still be family to me.
And today we have to get one of those people back, because he can never keep his promise normally.
I sighed and realized that I had just been alone.
I looked around and soon noticed that I was alone and Ban was gone.
I immediately started shouting his name.

"BAN! BAN WHERE ARE YOU?!"

No matter how hard I yelled or how many times I got no response back..
If I had left him behind and now I'm alone..
Maybe he left because he didn't want to pull me along with his reason for finding Meliodas.
Or because he shouldn't be here from the beginning.
Anyway I want to find him.
I need him to find Meliodas..
So let's try a few more times.

-Time skip-

I wanted to give up after about ten minutes, but suddenly a strange orb appeared in front of me when I called his name for the last time.
I was startled by the light bulb and jumped back and fell hard to the ground.
The orb began to giggle.
I looked at the orb in amazement and especially when the orb suddenly changed into a girl with blond hair and green eyes.
She looked very familiar to me but I couldn't quite place where or from when.
The girl bowed to me and apologized.

"I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to scare you.. But I have to be honest, your reaction was very funny. Let me introduce myself. I'm Elaine, a fairy from the fairy kingdom!"
