Kal El POV
We flew to the Grand Canyon.
Amazingly, Bruce is there.
"I know you don't want me here," Bruce nods, raising his hands in a defenseless gesture. "but you might need a little help."
"How did you--" Isis gets upset as Bruce taps his temple. "Listening device?" She guesses in an outraged whisper.
"Tracer, and I'm still not sure how you disappeared from time to time." He sees Isis frown deeply as if stirring for a fight. "Look, Egypt is your Batcave, I get that," Bruce nods. "but I do want to help you." He looks at me. "Sethos is a Kryptonian, but I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that Lex Luthor is at the helm of all this, and that means mercenaries and magicks."
"Magic?" Hearing Bruce say this makes me tense. He believes in logic, science, and disciplines.
"I wish I could explain some of the footage I have seen, the ones in the rags that no one believes, but some of it is true and I can't come up with an explanation."
"More Kryptonians?" I ask.
"It doesn't have to be," Diana says with a sigh.
"Anyway," Batman looks up and a green orb descends from the heavens. "We've got some 'weapons of our own."
When the orb opens, a man stands, his ring still glowing after the orb disappeared. "John Stewart-USMC and Indigo Tribe of Earth, Green Lantern Corps."
"Ah!" Isis smiles. "You look different than the Green Lantern of my time. You are human?"
"Yes."
"Thank you for coming," Isis is grateful, and once again I feel a little out of my element. I traveled some planets, but I had never run into a Green Lantern, or maybe they didn't want to run into me. "Follow me, all of you."
We all make our way to Mount Isis. I see the small doorway about eight hundred feet up, but I am not sure who else does.
