Mr. Neil: As you all know, South America is a continent entirely in the Western Hemisphere and mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere. It can also be described as the southern sub-region of a single continent called America. The continents have 12 countries and two non-sovereign entities. They are Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Falkland Islands (United Kingdom), French Guiana (France), Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela. *He pulled down the World Map, got his pointer stick, and pointed at the map of South America. * We're gonna learn more about South America and what each country has whether culture, number of populations, and other stuff.
