Chapter 4

I pulled up into my driveway. My cell phone beeped with an incoming text. It was… Rachelle?

Rachelle: Hey sexy ;-*

Who the fuck was she?

Me: Wtf r u?

Rachelle: Rachelle? Uhhh we were getting heated on them stairs ;)

Ohhh! So, that was her name.

Me: How do u have my number? Stalker much? ;p

I needed to flirt with someone. I had to forget about the last hour.

My head hurt from crying. And I couldn’t stop thinking about Aubrey. Even though, I was with her in such a short time, she screamed everything Mom. Her blue eyes, her beautiful hair, her edgy style.

But some things didn’t. Like her fiine body and perfectly shaped boobs. Yes, I’m a hormonal teenage boy. Shoot me. And of course, I didn’t think of my mommy back.

BEEEP!

Rachelle: Baby I put my digits in ur phone. Duhhhh

Me: Let’s get together babe. Come to my house later

Rachelle: Hehehe I just left school. Sure thing :D

And Jayden Lowe gets the girls easy just like that.

I walked into my house and yelled, “Hey, old man, I’m home!”

He knew I was just teasing him because he was only 35. Pretty young for a 16-year old’s dad, but he’s the cool---.

I stopped my tracks as I entered the living room.

Dad was eating out of a big carton of chocolate ice-cream. And on the TV he was watching New Moon?!

I blinked my eyes a several times. Was I seeing things?

“I love you. You’re my only reason to stay alive… if that’s what I am,” Edward said. Pssh, yeah, believe the 108-year old virgin, sparkly vampire. Only to have him leave and break your break your heart. Please don’t ask about my knowledge of this.

And yep, that’s New Moon.

I was about to call my dad the coolest? Scratch that.

I stared at him in horror. “Dad, really? Am I really seeing this? You look like a freaking little girl who just got her heart broken!”

I’ve broken some hearts, but gently. Not sparkly-Edward-Cullen way.

“Easy for you to say,” Dad mumbled while glaring at me.

Then I realized what I said and slapped my hand against my mouth.

Mom broke his heart. Badly.

“I’m sorry, Dad.

“I was just in one of my moods.”

Oh, great. When he was in one of his ‘moods’, he was moping over Mom.

“Seriously, you have to move on. Get a date, you really need one.”

“I’m not gonna cheat on your mother,” he snapped.

“She’s been gone for a really long time,” I said as calmly as possible. “I think the message is kinda clear.”

“We never divorced. So I would be cheating on her.”

“Dad, have some fun for once again. It’s been awhile.”

“Jayden, you just don’t understand. I love her. I don’t go from girl to girl like you do. You don’t know what it feels like. Not one clue. It’s like a half of you completely left you.”
