george's point of view

As soon as we had paid for our tickets, we entered Disneyland. The sun shone bright and hot and made everything glow in a slightly golden tone.

It was beautiful. The big, characteristic Disney castle with its banners and towers, surrounded by blooming cherry trees and accurately planted flowers which formed a labyrinth-like formation. Trees everywhere, stretching their branches over wooden banks with the Disney logo on them. Colourful iron poles of rollercoasters, carousels and snack bars, the people around them laughing and talking happily.

While I still admired the park, Sapnap and Dream had walked further and I hurried to close up to them again.

"Thanks for waiting," I said, bumping my fist into Sap's shoulder. He laughed and said: "Was that supposed to hurt?", which made Dream chuckle.

Goosebumps formed on my arms when I heard this sound. It seemed lighthearted and detached, something that I hadn't heard from Clay yet. Without my noticing, I, too, had a smile on my face, staring at him like an idiot.

There was something in his handsome, green eyes, a hidden emotion I couldn't quite catch. Before I could think about it more, Dream turned his head away, the cheerfulness gone again.

What had just happened?

"George! There's no time for dreaming now," Sapnap yelled and brought me back into reality. Once again, I was standing about ten meters behind my friends. I really had to stop zoning out when Dream was close...

Like before, I jogged over to them, looking around at the different amusement rides to find one we could go on together.

The first one we chose was a ghost train. Sap hadn't been very delighted.

"A ghost train? That's for little kids, Gogs" He snorted with a mocking smile. I shrugged and hooked up into his arm, pulling him with me. Dream had laughed again and my heart turned warm at the sound.

Soon enough, we had sat in one of the carts. It had the shape of a spider with eight long legs and a concerning creepy smile. Two sharp white vampire teeth were shown and the spider possessed a red cross on its forehead.

In this moment, we started moving with an abrupt hop. The cart jerked around a sharp curve and we drove inside of a dark cave.

"Spooooky," Nick said in a sepulchral voice. I smiled, knowing he just pretended to be disinterested when in fact, he found the park as exciting as I did. We all knew his inner child loved these amusement parks.

My gaze went over to Dream who sat on my other side. In the dusky light, I could only see the hazy contours of his face. The distinctive jawline, his cheekbones, his lips.

Oh, these lips.

I wished I could just lean over and kiss them. Kiss Dream.

But I hadn't forgotten Sapnap's warning. I wouldn't go further as long as Clay wasn't better. It was tempting, so tempting, but I turned my head to the front again, feeling Dream's presence blatantly obvious.

Nick had said it before, the ghost train wasn't spooky at all. Lame sound effects at the most predictable moments, visible electricity and wires, partly broken elements. It was fun, though, we laughed much, especially when Dream almost fell out of the cart due to a sharp right curve.
