Russian Tea

Ingredients:

-10 mL (2 tsp) whole cloves

-1 cinnamon stick

-12 cups water

-6 tea bags

-375 mL (1 1/2 cups) sugar

-375 mL (1 1/2 cups) orange juice

-60 mL (1/4 cup) lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Place cloves and cinnamon stick on a double thickness of cheesecloth. Gather corners of cloth to enclose seasonings and tie securely with string. Place in a 6-qt. stockpot.

2. Add water; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags. Steep, covered, for 5 minutes according to taste. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine sugar, orange juice and lemon juice; bring to a boil. 

3. Discard spice bag and tea bags. Stir juice mixture into tea. Serve immediately.
