Amy tried to walk through the school corridor as confidently as she could. It didn't help that she almost stumbled when her foot stepped on puddle of murky water in the middle of the hallway or when she had no idea where she was going. After countless twists and turns, she finally ended up at a room which said, 'Office'.

A smile broke out on her face. She finally found it! It was getting a bit annoying to walk through to one hallway multiple times yet not knowing where she had to go.

Unluckily for her, there was no friendly being in the school who decided to take pity on her and help her. It seemed like people liked seeing her suffer. Fortunately, she found the office.

Summoning all the remaining confidence in her, she turned the door knob and opened the door. A lady with a small smile on her face sat at the desk in front of her and another lady was guiding a scrawny boy with glasses towards a door that said 'Principal's Office' on her left.

Amy smiled nervously at the lady sitting at the desk. Politely, she called out, "Excuse me?"

The lady's head shot up and she rearranged the glasses resting on her nose, before shooting Amy a kind smile. "Yes, dear?" she said.

Seeing the niceness of the lady made Amy's internal panic settle slightly. "Umm... Well, I am Amy, the new student. I was wondering if I could get my schedule," Amy said, biting her lip.

The lady's smile grew and Amy stole a glance at her name tag. 'Priscilla Jonse'.

"Of course!" Ms. Priscilla said, shuffling through the papers on her desk. She beamed when she found the papers she was searching for and handed it to Amy.

"There you go, Amy dear! Have a good day!" she said, making Amy smile back.

"Thank you so much, Ms. Priscilla," Amy said, "I hope you have a nice day too."

Amy turned and walked out of the office, her eyes fixed on her schedule. She glanced at her watch and back to the schedule before quickening her steps. She only had five minutes to get to her first class. It would not have been so bad if she knew where the class was but since she had no idea where it was, five minutes was not enough.

As she took hasty steps towards her first class, not knowing where she was going, her head spun with worry. Being late to her first class on her first day of school in the new town was not exactly the best first impression to aim for.

Lost in her thoughts, she got snapped back into reality when a body bumped into her. Stumbling, she fell backwards and luckily, her bag cushioned her back from the fall. Groaning loudly, she tried to sit up.

"Are you alright?" A sweet, melodious voice asked her and a hand came in front of her.

Amy winced, the back of her head throbbing as she gratefully took the hand and pulled herself up. Her eyes landed on a girl slightly smaller than her, whose curious grey eyes were peering at her.

"Are you alright?" the girl asked, repeating her question again, as she swatted the stray hairs away from her face.

Amy tried to smile. The girl looked worried enough, she didn't want to add on to her worries.

"I'm fine," she said, trying to nod her head without wincing to show that she was, indeed, fine.

The girl smiled brightly. "I am sorry about that. I was just really excited. We have a new teacher today and I really wanted to see him. They call him Mr. Terry. I heard he is an alp–" Her smile faded and Amy wondered why she stopped her rambling. Maybe she was going to say something she was not supposed to.
