Olivia Smith dreamed of being a singer. And she was almost there. But when she is voted off the x-factor her hopes are crushed. Her mentor for the competition has an idea for a consolation prize though. Now she’s been asked to perform with The one and only one direction! And that's only the beginning.

I write in order to keep myself sane. Here are poetry, poems, quotes and another random words I wrote while dealing my pains. Hope it can help you too :)

La solitude, connue de tous me semble plus dure que jamais à surmonter dans les moments où nous sommes soucieux, voir blessés car nous nous trouvons dans l'impossibilité d'être soulagés par une présence amie. Il nous faut alors nous consoler de par nous même, il existe alors multiples façons de procéder. J'ai voulu en représenter un certain nombre afin de dresser un rituel symbolique de douleur et de consolation. Je voulais que le tout se fasse, non pas sous la forme d'un monologue, mais sous celle d'un « autodialogue » car la solitude nous pousse parfois à prendre le rôle d'autrui dans le but de nous soulager.

Judgmental stares and pitying eyes pierced through me, and suddenly I yearned for our steady pace to turn into a quick one. Out of the corner of my eye, I see their hushed whispers as we pass by. "Poor girl." Pity. "Life has been too hard on her." Sympathy. "A pity that the riches ended up with someone like her." Disappointment. I bowed my head as I chose to ignore the world around me and tried to escape the prying eyes. Time seemed to have slowed down as our trek felt a tad bit too long. At last, a pair of black, shiny shoes and a hand appeared in my range of vision. I slowly looked up and met the smiling eyes of an aged man. He gave me an encouraging nod. I took the offered hand and he helped me climb up the vehicle. ------------------------------- A short story written for my club, thought I would publish it here too and hopefully get critiques. - Dani.

Naomi has never been outside of the two-room apartment where she and her mother are kept, and the only window is a small skylight in her bedroom. The only love she has ever known was from her mother, who taught her to read by scratching letters into the wood floor underneath their mattress.
