Hey guys, gals and non-binary pals! This book filled with labels, their definitions, as well as things and art themed around them like aesthetics and pride flag arts (i own nothing, of course. Credit to the amazing artists)! I will also be including one of their awareness/visibility days or week. This book's main purpose is to be educational, not hateful or anything of the sort. I am going into everything with an open, accepting mind.

"I see the world and it seems like I see it so differently than most other people. It makes me really angry most of the time. Especially since no one ever listens to me or what I've got to say. I try to express myself in so many different ways and no one sees it. When I sing a song people will only care about how the music sounds or how much I swore. If I paint, people will see the picture but not the meaning. It seems so obvious to me but everyone just seems to... close their eyes. Or at least shut off their brain. As if I see things they don't. But when they don't listen, how can I communicate that to them? It's so frustrating." Allie is a high school student and has big plans to make the world a better place. But her own head is pitting against her, throwing rocks in her path on a daily basis. Everything seems to be great for a while but what happens when her world suddenly comes crashing down around her? Can she ever recover? A coming-of-age story that deals with mental ilnesses, grief, first loves and family, briefly taps into the subject of religion and will likely enrapture you. Trigger warning: mental illnesses, self harm, death, dealing with grief, mentions of guns and gun control, mentions of cults, mentions of homophobia, dissociation. Names of bands, band members and song titles have been changed but at this point I want to credit mainly Palaye Royale, the band 'Homesick Soldiers' that is mentioned throughout is heavily based off them, but I'm sure if you're familiar with them you would have been able to tell that :)

"I push him off me, making him stand on his own. But, Colton pushes me against a wall. 'Jax,' He sighs. Colton leans forward, his lips approaching mine. Soon, Colton kissed me with so much power that my head hit the wall behind me. I was stunned, and pushed him off me. 'Co-Mr. Haynes, we can't do this,' I tell him. He laughs, and leans against me. 'I like it when you call me Mr. Haynes. It's sexy,' he whispers the last part into my ear." ~~~ Jax was spending a casual night at the club, when he met the most handsome man in his life. He felt a spark, an instant connection. Or, maybe that was the beer talking. One week later, Jax was not looking forward to his last year in high school. He thought it couldn't get any worse than his horrible and abusive father, and his mother leaving that summer. But, he got to be reunited with his boyfriend, Rhett. But, Rhett becomes controlling. Abusive. And his former friend Zander will do anything to date him- even blackmail. That was when Jax thought his year couldn't get any worse. That is, until he met his music teacher, Mr. Haynes. The same man he slept with not so long ago. To make matters worse, he discovers he has a half brother named Ash, who is suddenly dumped on him and his father. Will Jax be able to make it through the year with Rhett, Mr. Haynes, Zander, his father, and even Ash seemingly going after him? Or will he collapse, and take his life like his older brother Dash has? *Contains mature content, such as sex, fowl language, LGBTQ+ (some people find it offensive), age difference, and suicide/suicidal thoughts. Gaydar by HoeyJoeyy
20 parts Complete
How do you tell if someone is gay? Well some people have the special ability to use what is called a gaydar, which can pinpoint signs or mannerisms that can determine if another is in fact gay. My name is Mason Lux, and I'm the 'gay best friend' of the queen bee of high school, Gabriella Grace, aka Gabby. Along with our other best friend Emily, we are called the GEM(s), the s is silent. Rulers of the school through gossip and drama, we are either adored and hated, there is no in between. While being popular is fun and all, there's something that it doesn't bring you, love - at least for me. Gabby on the other hand could get a boyfriend with the snap of her fingers, and the same goes for Emily. My love life is as dry as the Sahara, and I'm a little bitter about it. Until one day, Caspian Rose, the most attractive jock in this whole damn school, comes up to me. Never did I think the day would come where I'd talk to him, is this one of my dreams or fantasies? My heart beating fast, my face as red as a tomato. In his raspy voice he asks me - 'could you help me get Gabby to date me?' Oh how wonderful, finally my dream starts happening only for me to be pulled down to reality once again. After all, I'm the gay best friend, and the closest to Gabby (sorry Emily). What do I do? Tell him off and say I'm not a charity - haha as if! He's too perfect to turn down, looks like I'm in for quite the job. In exchange for helping Caspian date Gabby, he promises to get me a boyfriend. Claiming he has a 'gaydar' despite being a straight boy, which I highly doubt, especially since I don't have one. I can't tell who's gay and who isn't unless they're open about it. At this point I'll do whatever to find a boyfriend. Welcome to my crazy and desperate life!
