The sick feeling you've been feeling the entire week hasn't gone away. You're still throwing up but only in the mornings. Then, during the rest of the day, your stomach is on the fence of throwing up and being perfectly fine.

You're not sure why you're feeling this way. You thought it was food poisoning after a particularly bad meal, but Dean didn't get sick and he ate the same exact thing as you. Then, you thought it was just an upset stomach, but it's been going on much longer than expected. You don't want to go to the doctor and have them tell you it's just a stomach bug.

It's weird because your magic heals you of any and all illnesses and diseases except for this one. Frankly, you're getting sick and tired of it all.

This time, you couldn't wait until you had a toilet to throw up in. This time, you're doing it on the side of the road near a busy town. Sam Is on the phone looking for another case, and Dean is taking care of you by holding your hair back.

"Shit, Y/N, why is this still going on?" Dean asks.

"If I had the answer, I would tell you. Stop asking me every day," you groan.

Dean hands you a water bottle, and you chug the contents to get the taste of bile out of your mouth. Sam says "shit" louder than normal that causes you to look in his direction. Just the mere sight of him is enough to send whatever is left in your stomach come rushing up.

He's not the Sam you know, and you have a sneaking suspicion you know why. The only other person you can talk to about this is your dad. When Dean knew you were going to be okay, he stood off to the side to call him. After pulling yourself together, you head over there.

"I know what I saw, Bobby," Dean sighs.

When he sees you approach him, he puts your dad on speakerphone. You're far enough away from Sam not to worry that he'll hear what's being said.

"We tested him–salt, silver, holy water–everything."

"He threw me to that vamp. I'm telling you, it's not my brother."

"Well then, he's something we ain't ever seen before," your dad sighs.

"Yeah, or it's fucking Lucifer."

"Don't ask me how I know this, but I am able to feel people's emotions and connect with their spirits. I touched Sam and all I felt was nothing. No happiness, love, sadness, anger, regret, and every other emotion. I felt absolutely nothing," you add.

"Did you call Cas?"

"Of course we called Cas. He's not answering. Fuck him. I can't wait anymore," Dean growls.

"Look, I get it. You're rattled, and you have every right to be. But let's be professional–"

"Professional? He watched me get turned!"

"Are you sure that's what you saw?" your dad questions.

"Damn it, Bobby. Yes, I know."

"I was there, dad. I saw the smile on his face. He stopped and watched," you back Dean up.

"Well, 'you know' ain't the same as proof," he began, but you cut him off.

"Dad, it's not just this vampire thing. He's been different ever since I saw him. You know, he wouldn't have... he's just been different," you stop yourself before you revisit the can of worms you opened a few weeks ago.

"Alright, I'm with you," your dad sighs.

"Are you?" Dean asks pessimistically.

"Yeah. I'll hit the books, hard. Just don't shoot him yet, alright? Watch him. We need facts. Because if it ain't Sam... we don't know what it is. And if we're gonna put him down, we need to know how," your father points out.

"I don't even want to ride in the same car with him, much less work a damn case," Dean groans.

"I'll also be with him so I'll make sure he doesn't do anything drastic," you add.

"Get in the car. He's your case."

Sam gets done with whatever he's been doing, and he starts to head over to you and his brother. You nudge Dean to let him know Sam is coming back, and he clears his throat before turning around to face him.

"Hey. I was just, uh, I was leaving Lisa a message," Dean lies smoothly as he hung up on your dad.

"Still hasn't called you back, huh?"

"No."

"Sucks," Sam says with false care.

"Yeah."

"You okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine. How are you?" Dean asks, clearly on edge.

"Me? Great. Here, look. Check this out. Think it might be something," Sam gets right into it and shows him the newspaper that he has in his hands.

The paper features a story about Jane Peterson who have committed suicide without good reason. Everyone who has committed suicide in this town has done so under suspicious circumstances which is where you three come in.

"Four people, out of nowhere, all in the last couple of weeks have been found dead by suicide. What do you say?"

"Yeah, it sounds like a plan," you clear your throat with a nod.

"Okay. Let's go," Sam suggests and he heads back over to the car.

"This is bugging me that I can't figure this out," you huff and head over to the car with Dean.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You're at Jane Peterson's house to talk to her sister who last talked to her. Maybe she might have something useful to give, and you're going to make sure she does. Dean wanted to canvas the entire bottom floor while Sam offered to interview Olivia, Jane's sister. You didn't want to leave Sam all by himself especially when you know he's not exactly himself right now.

"I don't understand. Why would federal investigators be interested in a suicide?" Olivia asks passively.

"Well, um, it's a new more caring administration," Sam tries his best to sound caring—and failing.

"Well, I already told the cops. Jane was having a really bad day, so I-I did what any sister would do," she whispers and tucks her hair behind her ear. Dean drops in and she looks behind her at him. "I tried to cheer her up, you know? Told her to hang in there."

"You know what a 'tell' is?" Sam suddenly asks.

You and Dean are both surprised by this, but you don't say anything.

"Excuse me?"

"It's a poker term for when you're bluffing. Like what you just did with your hair," he says and motions to his own hair.

"What are you trying to say?" she asks.

"You're lying."

"Sam," you hiss quietly, but he didn't even flinch.

"What?" Olivia gasps.

"Tell us what you did to your sister."

Sam has an evil sort of look in his eyes, and you back up slightly towards Dean. He has the same look in his eyes. Who the fuck is this man before you? Olivia can't take the grilling coming from Sam, and she breaks down crying.

"Okay. You're right. I was lying. I wanted to tell her, 'I love you. I'm here for you'. Oh, but what came out was, 'You're a burden. Just kill yourself'. Who says that?! I-I just couldn't stop!" she cries heavily.

You're not going to get anything out of her, so you look at Dean and just simply nod to let him know you're ready to go. Sam is already done with her, so he walks out of the house without saying anything else to her. You and Dean say your goodbyes and follow suit. As soon as you step outside, you put a hand to your stomach as the urge to throw up is imminent. There is something seriously wrong with you, and you need to do something about it or maybe look up why you might be throwing up even when you're not sick.

"See anything in the house?" Sam asks his brother.

"No hex bags, no sulfur, and no EMF. You?"

"A tuba and an issue of Crochet Today. So, what, already kinda suicidal?" he theorizes.

"Right, and then big sis's Taxicab Confession sends her over the edge. Question is, what made big sis open her big, fat mouth in the first place?"

You're about halfway to the car when you get a stomach rumble. Something is coming up, and you have to stop yourself before you vomit all over this girl's front lawn. Dean notices that you've stopped, and he turns to face you while still slowly walking to the car.

"You alright?"

"Yeah, I'm good," you say after a few minutes.

Sam is already in the car, and you two head over there before he starts getting impatient.
