-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a few hours ago, a blood bank van got jumped in an alley close to the motel you're staying at. Sam is on the phone with Samuel while you and Dean put the usual weapons in the backseat of the car. Your stomach is feeling a lot better, but it's still kind of upset. You're not sure why your body is behaving like this, you just hope it goes away soon.

Sam is off to the side, and you lean on the side of the car as Dean puts the weapons in the car.

"Are you feeling better?" he asks.

"Kind of. All this talk of blood is making me a little queasy though."

"Really? You never get queasy."

"I know. I hope this goes away soon," you sigh.

Sam ends the conversation with Samuel and heads over to you and Dean with a solemn look on his face. Actually, he looks more annoyed than anything, but you don't comment on it.

"What did he say?" Dean asks.

"He's got a pattern. This is the fourth town that's been raided. Only this time, the driver of the blood bank truck was found with his throat slashed."

"Wait that doesn't make sense. If these vampires have all these kids, then why bother with the blood truck? They clearly have food," you frown.

"That's what I said. We need to figure it out."

"I checked and The Black Rose is right around the corner. Maybe we might find something there."

"What are we waiting for? Let's go," Sam says and leaves the group.

"Have you ever noticed he has no patience with everything? I swear there is something wrong with him. It pisses me off that me of all people can't figure it out," you sigh.

"I know. I mean he's my brother."

"Come on," you sigh.

You two head over to the pub that's right around the corner. Sam is already inside at the bar with a beer in hand. The bar is full of chatter and sweaty bodies. Not one single person, besides the three of you, aren't wearing dark and emo clothes. Never in a million years would you ever think to come here, but there is a first for everything. You and Dean find Sam and take a seat next to him.

"What do you got?" you ask him.

"Nothing yet."

A waitress that's wearing nothing but a black rubber suit walks over to you three with three beers. She sets them down in front of Sam and leaves immediately.

"That has got to be uncomfortable," you watch her leave.

"There has to be an easier way to do this."

"I'll be right back. I'll see if I can spot the real vampire," you offer and leave the duo.

You have to push by a lot of bodies that are grinding and dancing, but you ignore them since the man you're looking for would be hitting on a teenage girl looking to be in some kind of vampire club. There are men that fit the profile, but none of them give off the impression that they are vampires. Put a demon, an angel, a witch, a horseman, and a few other monsters, and you'd know exactly what they were from the minute you laid eyes on them. Vampires don't work that way since most of them can contain their bloodlust, therefore, disguising themselves as humans. You make it back to the Winchester's with a shake of your head.

"I found three that fit the profile. One of them is at two o'clock. You think it's real?"

Every head in the group turns to look at a teenage boy in a black coat and a dog collar who is chatting up a pretty teenage girl.

"I dunno. It's hard to tell," Dean mutters. He canvases the area until he spots two more young men talking to young girls. "You're right we got three of them."

"There's three of them and three of us. It shouldn't be a problem," you shrug. You're about to take one of the men as your target when another man approaches him and the pair starts making out. "Okay, never mind. Two down."

"One's on the move," Sam informs when the guy with the dog collar leaves with the girl he's with.

"So is he," Dean points to the other man.

Before you had a chance to say who you're going with, Sam nudged you to follow him. You look at Dean with a shrug and end up following the taller Winchester. Dean rolls his eyes but stays locked onto his target.

"Sam, wait up," you hiss as you jog to catch up with him.

The suspect walks down to the lower level of the bar which leads into the basement. The guy walks on as if nothing is happening, but something seems odd about him. The way he walks is just weird because he's not in any hurry, but it looks like he doesn't have a destination. It's almost as if he knows he's being followed and leading you two where no one else is.

Sam reaches the basement door and swings it open, but no one is there. The room has few very dim lights swinging from the ceiling, but you walk in anyways. The assumed vampire walks in here, you can tell. It's eerily quiet, but that doesn't rattle you nor Sam.

"Sam something is off," you reveal your concerns.

"He's here, I know it," he replies.

You turn a corner and take a few steps when you instantly freeze. There is someone behind you, you can feel it.

"Sam!" you shout.

The guy you are following sneers and hisses with his very real vampire fangs out. Sam swiftly turns around and decapitates him with something he got off one of the shelves. He doesn't look dazed at all, but you're more worried about someone finding a decapitated man on the floor.

"So, if this was the vampire, then the problem is solved. We need to get back to Dean before more come running in and start killing people for the hell of it," you suggest.

Sam doesn't disagree with you and leaves the basement on your tail. Dean went out the front doors, so he's on the opposite side from where you're at. The night is cool and crisp when you exit, but you have only one person on your mind right now. There is an alleyway next to the club, and the closer you get to it, the more you hear Dean's yells of pain and shock.

You run closer to the noise and see something that you never thought you'd see in your life. Something that tears your heart into two. A different vampire has Dean pinned to one of the dumpsters, and he's pushing his wrist towards Dean's mouth... a wrist that has an open wound. If that blood gets inside Dean, then he'll be turned.

"No!" you yell and look back at Sam who just stands there with a sadistic smile on his face.

"Sam!" you snap him out of whatever trance he was in

"No!" he yells in a fake attempt to care.

You're too late. The deed has already been done. The vampire has already turned Dean and is now trying to escape. Dean slides to the ground, unable to move or even fight. You don't think twice and head to the man you still love.

"No, Dean," you cry softly and wipe the blood from his mouth.

You look up and watch as the vampire escapes. He escapes because Sam didn't do a very good job trying to defeat him.

"What the fuck was that Sam?!" you yell at him while tending to Dean.

"What was what?"

"You fucking know. You just... smiled. Who the hell are you?" you glare.

You look back down at Dean to see him knocked the fuck out from exhaustion. You're not sure what his body is going through, but you're going to try and help him fight it. There has to be a cure for this because Dean would not survive as a vampire.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dean is legit freaking out. He won't let you or Sam near him, he hears sounds from miles away, and all of his senses are turned up to 100. Sam closes the curtain, but Dean is still having trouble with his condition. You're pissed at Sam for how he behaved, but until you help Dean, you can't deal with him right now. Dean holds his head as if he has a terrible migraine, but no medicine will help him.

"Oh my God, what is that sound?" he groans painfully.

"What sound, Dean?" Sam wonders.

It's as if Dean is going through one of your panic attacks. He's pacing the room, his eyes are glossed over, his breathing is picking up, and he's clutching his head. He shoves the floor lamp to the floor which shatters the bulb. He's hearing all kinds of sounds that you and Sam can't hear, so you don't know why he stalks to the other side of the room where the beds are and pounds on the wall.

"Hey, c'mon, keep it down, dammit!" He turns and winces at the bright light coming from the ceiling fan and lights. It's not bright at all but it is to him. "Please, please, shut that off."

You're quick to shut off the light so that it's very dark inside the motel room. Your heart is racing because you're very scared for Dean, and you're not sure what to do to make him feel better.

"Dean, maybe you should sit down," Sam suggests.

"You sit down," he sneers but does so on one of the beds.

"Dean let me help you," you say and kneel in front of him.

He looks up from his lap and into your eyes, and you can see how broken he is right now. You lift one of your hands that glow bright blue. You place it gently on his cheek, but his skin isn't absorbing it like you thought it would. He sighs and moves your hand away from his head as he doesn't need a reminder that your magic doesn't work on him anymore. Maybe it's because he's a monster in transition now, but he knows he can't turn to you for this.

"Of all the ways to die, I never thought I'd be going out like this."

"Dean, you're not going to die. Don't say that," you squeak as you stand up.

"Samuel is gonna kill me when he gets here!" he yells and stands back up.

"No, Dean, he's not!"

"Yes he is, because I'm gonna ask him to because you two won't do it."

"Dean what the fuck? No one is killing anyone! We can figure this out!" you whimper.

Your heartbeat isn't slowing down by any means.

"How?" he yells, but neither you nor Sam has an answer for that. The more you think about it, the more your heart races. Dean stops for a second and just glares at his brother. "Why aren't you freaked out?"

"What? I am!" San tried to defend himself terribly.

"Really? Because I can hear yours and Y/N's heartbeat. Hers is racing a million miles a minute but yours is pretty damned steady. Wait, do you hear that?" Dean asks, shutting up to listen.

"Hear what?" you ask.

"It's a... heartbeat... It's very faint," he says and looks at you.

"There are other people in this motel Dean. Focus on the two you hear. Mine and Sam's who apparently isn't freaked at all!"

"That's 'cause I-I'm trying to remain calm. Dean, look—Samuel will know what to do."

Sam is trying to care so much about this, but it's not working. All of these signs are telling you that something is wrong with him, and this is the breaking point for you.

"C'mon, man, I'm a monster, okay? This is not a problem that you spit-ball. We gotta deal with this before I hurt somebody."

"Wait, Dean, am I a monster? I'm a witch, so does that make me a monster? Do I hurt people? Do you remember the vampire that fed on cow's blood because she wanted to be normal? She didn't hurt anyone and she still lives. Don't think in black and white. There are grey areas."

"I'm sorry, but I don't believe in that bullshit. I can't handle your optimistic side right now because it doesn't look too good right now."

"How's it feel?" Sam asks after a moment of silence.

"Now? Now you wanna talk about my feelings?"

"No, I mean physically."

"How do you think it feels? Not good!" he snaps and heads to the bathroom.

"Where are you going?" Sam asks.

"Bathroom, okay? News flash, Mr. Wizard: vampires pee!"

He storms into the bathroom and as soon as he slams the door shut, you turn to Sam with bright blue eyes and you shove him so hard that he tumbled a few feet away from you.

"What the hell Y/N?" he shouts.

"No, what the hell is wrong with you? You know what you did Sam! You watched him get turned and just smiled! I saw you! This is the last straw, Sam because you are walking on thinice! Thin ice Sam! I don't know what the hell happened to you, but you're not the Sam we know and you know it! God, at least stop pretending!"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Y/N! I'm trying to be supportive and it seems like you're the only person who is against this!"

"I may not be able to sense a vampire in the same fucking room, but I can sense bullshit. You're spewing a lot of it. Do me a favor, Sam, stop treating me like my head is up my ass. I see through whatever facade you're projecting. Don't treat me as if I'm Dean or Samuel. My respect for you is almost nonexistent," you glare threateningly.

"Believe what you want, Y/N, but I'm telling you the truth. Why don't I get the rings, open the cage, and throw you in it. Let's see how long you'll last!" Sam yells.

Through all the bickering and shouting, you noticed Dean hasn't come out. You take one second from arguing with Sam to look at the bathroom door. You can hear the water running, but nothing else.

"Dean?" you knock on the door before opening it.

Sam is right behind you, and he's tall enough to see over your head. Dean isn't in the bathroom and the window is open.

He's escaped.
