Jehan POV:
This morning was absolutely beautiful, beautiful enough to write a poem about. The sun shined brightly onto the water of the fountain, there was no breeze and ma belle y/n was going to arrive soon. Everyday at this time she gives food out to the poor and returns the book she had borrowed yesterday to the library.
I always wait for her and hope that she will notice and talk to me, but it is a rather ridiculous thought. Y/n was loved by all of France, she was known for her kindness, her intelligence and of course her beauty. All noticed when she walked past and all waved hello or smiled in awe. She had France wrapped around her finger, even Inspector Javert was fond of her.
I waited with my pencil and paper in hand, ready to write about the girl's outfit and hair that always suited her well. My eyes scanned the town several times until I saw her. It was like the sun picked favourites as it shined across her face, making her appear golden. I dropped my materials in awe but quickly picked them up to begin my writing.
Today, y/n wore a light blue long sleeved dress with her hair in a braid that cascaded down her back. Yet again, she looked like an angel. She began her regular routine of feeding the less fortunate. I stared and sighed.
"Something in the way she moves
Attracts me like no other lover" she approached the fountain with no more bread in her hands. She met my gaze and smiled softly before sitting on the opposite side of the fountain.
"Something in the way she woos me
I don't want to leave her now" I turn my body to face her slightly hunched back, book in hands.
"You know I believe and how." I pick up my things and slowly walk to the other side of the fountain, where Gavroche was speaking with
y/n. He must have said something funny because she began to laugh and bring music to my ears.
"Somewhere in her smile she knows
That I don't need no other lover
Something in her style that shows me" I start walking to the café Musain to meet Joly.
"I don't want to leave her now." I capture her beauty in my mind one last time before I head off to the café.
