Hoseok woke up with a start.
As his eyes opened they faded back into their normal brown instead of the fiery orange they were before.
He stood from the bed he was laying on, ignoring the tingling in his legs and mumbling one name over and over and over again.
Yoongi, Yoongi, Yoongi, Yoongi.
"There's something wrong," he told himself through pants, he looked around, noticing the asleep Taehyung but ignoring it as he pressed on a button on the wall, this opened the door to leave whatever room he was in.
Hoseok did so quickly.
He jumped down, causing others to run over from hearing the thud.
Dion was at the front of them, his eyes widening when he saw Hoseok was awake, "Hoseok, you're awake? Does that mean-"
Hoseok grabbed Dion by the throat, his eyes morphing into the Phoenix version, where the background of his iris was a fiery red and there were orange flames emitting from his pupil. He wasn't hurting Dion, more or less just keeping him in place.
Dion wasn't offended, he knew this was the Phoenixes doing and not Hoseok's.
"Create a portal for me to get to the Onee Vessel," Hoseok's voice was deeper, distorted in a sort of way, which meant it wasn't him speaking but the Phoenix through the vessel, "do it now, warlock." they could all tell by the fact he referred to Yoongi as the Onee Vessel instead of his real name that this wasn't Hoseok.
Dion chuckled lightly, tapping Hoseok's wrist, "I can't until you let me go." he told the Phoenix, his tone even and calm, if the Phoenix was taking over Hoseok's body and woke him up, it meant something bad happened to Yoongi and the others.
Which worried all of them.
Dion created a portal that lead Hoseok to where Yoongi was, but before Hoseok went through he looked at NamJoon with that same fiery look, the visual in Hoseok's eyes not going away, "You, come with me," he pointed at the brown haired male, who gulped as he nodded slowly.
Jimin wasn't going to let his boyfriend handle this alone, so he went with them, getting Hoseok- or the Phoenix's- permission first. He knew damn well something bad was happening and having a little wind power could be helpful.
They were thrown on the other side of the portal, Hoseok quickly walking towards the lake he knew Yoongi was in because he could feel it, though before they barged through, NamJoon held Hoseok back and made a gesture for Jimin to stop.
Hoseok didn't oppose, his eyes brown again.
The trio saw Adora holding Songhee and Jungkook against the trees, their eyes turning towards the witches knocked out on the ground near the shore. They heard Adora talking about how she wasn't going to let them wake the OneeOnia up, because they're monsters and what Jiwoo is doing to rid the world of elementals was good.
Maybe Rendon got his crazy from his dear mommy, who seemed to act innocent when it came to the topic.
"Not if I can help it," Hoseok muttered menacingly, his eyes willingly going back into the Phoenix version as he ran towards Adora.
The woman turned towards the sound of crunching leaves and twigs, her eyes widening when she saw the person running towards her. She could easily tell this was the vessel of the Phoenix though the difference was the Phoenix was awake inside of Hoseok.
Hoseok grabbed her by the throat, burning her slightly which caused Adora to scream. Her hold on Jungkook and Songhee relented completely as she tried to stop the Phoenix from killing her.
Hoseok turned towards the two, telling them, "GO BRING HIM BACK!" he yelled it, Songhee and Jungkook beckoning for Namjoon and Jimin to come towards them.
Songhee was panting, her hands shaking, "I need you to do the vibration thing Ilsung does, I don't know where he is in the water or how far down he's gone, it's already been 4 minutes and I-i don't know how long we have to get him and bring him back." her words were rushed and said hastily between breaths, though NamJoon caught it all.
His eyes morphed to their viney green quickly, he placed his hands on the sand in the water, feeling for a presence inside of it going down.
Thankfully he found it within seconds.
"Let's go!" he shouted, Songhee, Jungkook, and him diving into the water and sinking down, Jimin staying on the shore.
Jungkook created air bubbles around their heads as they swam, so they wouldn't have to come back up for water. Plus Songhee would have to freeze Yoongi once they found his body.
Which they did.
They had to be in the middle of the lake now, their eyes focusing on the figure sinking slowly with blood still pouring out of his wound, his eyes shut and hair flowing near his head. Their bodies ached from how hard and fast they were swimming, but they knew they needed to go go go because they didn't have much time left.
Songhee swam the fastest towards Yoongi's body, her eyes already morphing into their oceanic blue as she got closer and closer.
She held in her tears as she held herself afloat and took a hold of Yoongi's lifeless form.
Quickly, she froze every part of him using the water around her and her power. She did his head last, a tear escaping her eyes as she did. Once his body was frozen, Yoongi sank down faster in the water, Jungkook keeping Songhee from swimming after him.
Though, nothing happened after about 30 seconds.
They had run out of time.
NamJoon shook his head softly as they swam back to shore, Jungkook having to forcefully pull Songhee out of the water.
"YOONGI!" she screamed in anguish once they were on land, sobs escaping her lips as she fell on the ground while running her hands through her wet hair. Her body ached, not because of the swimming she did before, but because her best friend was dead and probably wouldn't be coming back.
She slammed her fists against the ground repeatedly, Jungkook holding her back from doing so as he cried as well.
"Songhee... SONGHEE!" Jungkook yelled, finally stopping the female's pained screams and pounding of her fists. She fell back into Jungkook's chest, crying even louder.
Jimin and NamJoon were holding each other, both with watery eyes but the didn't cry.
Hoseok glared at the witch he was holding up with his hand in a choke hold, no tears in his eyes.
She smirked, even cackled, "You're too late, Phoenix, how does it feel to watch your only balance-" he began burning her throat to keep her from speaking, which worked, but he didn't make any move to kill her.
Not yet.
Though he did burn her hands off before to keep her from using magik, but even with her hands seared off Adora was still laughing like a maniac at what she'd done. To her, it didn't hurt one bit when she kept the Onee from waking up.
Hoseok watched the water, his eyes still that Phoenix visual, the others pouting when they saw Hoseok keeping his tears in. Because even with his eyes in the Phoenix version, they could still see them gloss over.
Though he didn't cry.
"He's not dead." Hoseok stated, which had them all furrowing their eyebrows, Adora scoffing from the hold on her throat.
"Hoseok- he-"
"Look at the water." is all Hoseok told them as a smirk adorned his features, Adora's eyes widened as she tried to turn around but couldn't with the Phoenix holding her in place and burning her slowly.
The others did as told, especially Jungkook and Songhee.
The water was bubbling, a lighter blue on the surface of it.
Maybe they weren't too late.
All of them were pushed back when something huge came out of the water, a wave created in it's wake.
And a roar sounding around the area.
When they looked up they saw a dragon that was a brilliant snowing white, it's eyes a deep teal and fangs barred as it flew around the area they were in; the sun illuminating it's scales. It's wings were large and expanded to their full potential as the Onee flew around, it's claws long and threatening.
Hoseok's smirk widened, he walked closer to the edge of the water and did what none of them expected.
He threw Adora into the air with a force the others thought wasn't humanly possible.
Well- Hoseok wasn't human.
When he did the Onee swooped down on the screaming woman and ripped her body apart with one strong swipe from it's claws, roaring after as it flew higher in the air. Hoseok made sure to burn the pieces before they fell into the water, so the ashes would dissolve when it touched the surface.
That's one way to kill an immortal witch.
Songhee gasped as her body rose on it's own, the others now looking at her with confusion, Soyeon, HeeJin, and Byeongkwan now awake and more than relieved, and surprised, to see the Onee flying above them in all it's dangerous glory.
The water from the lake encased Songhee like a bubble, glowing and bubbling like it was before the Onee awakened.
When it went away, the others were shocked with their eyes blown wide. .
Songhee's hair was now white with blue ends, also much longer than before, her eyes also icy white as she looked at them, a whisp near her head; though unlike Jungkook's, it wasn't an ocean blue, it was a frosty blue and Songhee's whisp was clearly created from frost and not water like Jungkook's.
Just like Dion said, the Whisp in Songhee would awaken with the Onee.
The OneeOnia, like the Phoenix before, went back into it's vessels form, Yoongi's body falling from the sky, though before he hit the water Jimin used his wind to instead let Yoongi fall into Hoseok's body.
The powerful couple landed on the ground with an oof, Hoseok covering Yoongi's body with a blanket Soyeon created since she knew he'd come down naked.
Yoongi looked at Hoseok with a surprised expression, his eyes fading back into brown, he caressed Hoseok's face, whispering, "You're awake."
Hoseok smiled as he kissed Yoongi's forehead, holding the elder close as he mumbled, "You are too."
