"Now, let's get started right away. The first game is what you'd call a qualifier! Every year, many drink their tears here! Now, here is the fateful first game!" She stated as some kind of spinner on the screen showed up. "This year, it's..." The spinner stopped on-- "...this!" An obstacle race.
"All 11 classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this stadium--about four kilometers! Our school's selling point is freedom! As long as you stay on the course, it doesn't matter what you do!"
Everybody cheered after Midnight explained. It doesn't matter what you do... It's a good thing you learned something new from your quirk. It started when you were training with Bakugo last week.

"C'mon!" Bakugo yelled while you just stood there rubbing your head. Your whole body was aching and you didn't know why. "Oi! You coming or not?" He yelled again. You were about to run and attack him but you suddenly fell on your knees as your whole body was in pain and you couldn't move.
You groaned loudly. Bakugo immediately ran to you and sat on the grass. "What's wrong now?" He asked, still yelling. "I-I don't know. My head was aching and now I couldn't move my body." You replied. Suddenly, Bakugo carried you bridal-style and placed you on a large plain rock. For some reason, you couldn't take your eyes off him when he carried you. Your heart beated faster than usual and your cheeks felt hot.
"Are you sick?" He asked then he touched your forehead making you blush even more. You closed your left eye when he touched you and he began blushing. He immediately placed his hand on his pocket turning away from you. You were both embarrassed at each other.
"You're not sick. So why are you aching?" He said. You closed your eyes and thought of something.
'Wow... I didn't know Bakugo's hand was so warm. I admit it, I liked it when he touched my forehead with his palm... When he carried me, I felt like I was flying in heaven not wanting to go back down to earth. Damn.'
"Huh?!" You opened your eyes when Bakugo yelled again. You were confused why he looked small but then you realized you didn't feel the cold rock below you. You looked down and...
'I... I'm floating!
"Eh?!" You stood up and started to fall. Instead of flying, you ended up falling-- suddenly, you felt warm when you were about to fall to the ground. You looked up only to see his crimson eyes locked on yours. You both stayed like that for a few seconds and then he finally put you down.
When you were both standing side to side, you eventually turned away from each other while covering both your mouth. Your faces were both red and your heart beated faster than usual.
'Wait... Does this mean...?'
"I was floating, r-right?" You began to speak breaking the silence, "Y-yeah." He replied. You stared at the ground and said, "Then does that mean I can fly?" You both turned to each other. "Who cares?" He let out a 'tch' and walked away.
"H-hey! Where are you going?! We're not done yet!" You yelled but he didn't answer. You ran and catched up to him.
You were both silent but you still trained the day after. You found out that you can even use telekinesis on yourself, you just learned it so you don't know how to fully control it yet but you can still manage. Although what happened just that day...
'Does that mean I...'

"Now, take your places everyone!"
You all stood on the hall where the obstacle race starts. You waited until Midnight announced, 'start!'. You all ran as fast as you can as if you were running for your precious lives.
"Okay, here's the play-by-play! Are you ready to do the commentary, Mummy Man?" Present Mic spoke. "You're the one who forced me to come." Mr. Aizawa answered.
"Let's get started right away, Mummy Man. What should we pay attention to in the early stages?" Present Mic continued, "This part right now." Mr. Aizawa answered again.
"Hey, hey!"
"This is too narrow!"
"Ouch!"
"Hey, move!"
The students were really having a hard time while you just floated in the air, so you didn't have a problem. Nothing matters as long as you're still on the course, right?
Suddenly, ice bursted out from nowhere and it froze everyone's feet from ground. Luckily for you, you just floated and began flying fast catching up to Half n Half. Aoyama used his navel laser, Momo created something who knows what, and Bakugo used his explosions to boost himself up and fly. Oh, and Kirishima... He just jumped, how did he do that?
"I won't let you get away so easily! You half-and-half bastard!" Bakugo shouted from behind as larger explosions came out from his palms causing him to boost forward. Mineta took out some slimy balls from his head as his steppingstones. The little grape was about to do his special move but he was hit by a hand of a robot.
Haha, funny. Wait, robots?
They look familiar. Oh. They were from the entrance exam. So now they're taking revenge for destroying them? I apologized to them in advance so they should accept it. I'm dead. Not!
"Obstacles have shown up suddenly! Starting with... the first barrier! Robo Inferno!"
One of the robots were about to attack but Todoroki immediately froze it. Good, you weren't in the mood to deal with them. I mean, you apologized. You continued to fly and it didn't seem like Half n Half saw you ahead of him. He turned to the students from behind but when he faced back to the front, he caught you.
Crap.
"Amazing he's the first one through! It's, you know, practically unfair!"
"His actions are logical and strategic."
"As expected of someone who got in through recommendations! He'd never fought them before, but those Robo Infernos couldn't get past his elite moves! Oh! There's L/N flying ahead! Wait, Todoroki is behind her! That means she got through first?! Amazing! Looks like she continued to fly ahead while Todoroki was taking down the robots!" Present Mic stated.
You heard Todoroki scoffed while you just smirked.
This is so fun! All I have to do is get through all the obstacles and win!
You noticed more of your classmates coming from behind.
I better do something than just fly. Alright, enough play time.
More robots came and you immediately threw them behind causing Todoroki and the others to halt. "L/N has finally used her quirk on the bots! With her telekinesis, she threw them and it landed on the ground behind her in able to stop the other competitors! Clever! With her quirk, she's unstoppable when it comes to the robots!"
"Sorry again, robots. But I just have to do it." You muttered. You looked back to see if someone passed it. But no one was there other than the broken robots that you threw. You wondered why Todoroki's taking so long. He was quick and fast earlier and could probably pass the little obstacle you caused, what made him stop?
Suddenly, you heard explosions coming to your way.
Oh god.
"That's all you can do, Stupid?!" Bakugo shouted when he eventually jumped through the robots with his explosions and now he's aiming for you.
Why him of all people?
You ignored the blowing hothead and turned your face back to the front. A few seconds later, more students came. And then, the first obstacle was over. What's next?
"Hey, hey! The first barrier's a piece of cake? Then what about the second?" You stopped when the second obstacle was already in front of you. There were long cylinder shaped lands or something and ropes attached to each other.
So I just have to pass through this? I could just fly, y'know.
Once again, you flew through what they called 'The Fall' while Todoroki and Bakugo were catching up. You won't let them surpass you, or maybe you would if you want to.
You went ahead and...
What's this?
You flew down and finally touched the ground. You read the huge sign on your right, 'Danger Mines'?
Eh? There's literally nothing here. Wait...
You used your quirk and pulled out a branch from a tree and you threw it on the plain ground. It blew up with thick pink dust.
This is... Easy. I could just fly again! I thought the sports festival was hard, but honestly, this is quite dissapointing.
You flew faster since Todoroki has already reached the minefield. Bakugo came too, wow took him so long.
"This doesn't affect me! Bastard, don't declare war to the wrong person!" Bakugo abruptly tried to blow Todoroki but he managed to dodge it.
What's happening back there?
Actually, it's kind of fine to you if you don't win first place as long as you pass this. This was really easy and both Half n Half and Hothead are meters away from behind. Plus, you don't want someone to end up getting hurt and go straight to Recovery Girl's office.
"Hey, hey, hey, the rest of the pack is also speeding up! However! Even as they push and pull at each other, can two of the second top remain? If they pass unbeatable L/N here, they can take the lead-- Oh! L/N slowed down! Why would she do that in the middle of the race? Is she getting tired of flying?"
Gosh, Present Mic. That sounded like an insult.
You hissed as you made your way to the two.
"Hey! You two!"
They both looked at you with confused-but-at-the-same-time-furious eyes. "What do you think you're both doing?!" You yelled.
"Mind your own business, Stupid!" Bakugo yelled back while Todoroki just ignored you as they continued to attack each other. You got pissed off so you used your quirk on them. "This is so immature!" You split them up making distance between them. "Stop this or none of you could win--" you didn't get to finish your sentence when Midoriya suddenly showed up as he passed all three of you riding some kind of a part from the robots from earlier.
You all stared at him as he let go of that thing he was riding causing an explosion. You immediately let go of the two and got out of the pink smoke. He ran his way to the finish line. Your eyes widened, eventually flying faster than before.
On second thought, I don't want to be just one of the top 3 without claiming 1st place.
You got all competitive all of a sudden and it's getting the best of you. You're getting pumped up!
The other two easily caught up to the both of you but they were still behind you while Midoriya was taking the lead.
"Eraser Head, your class is amazing! What're you teaching them?!" Present Mic exclaimed. "I didn't do anything. They got each other fired up on their own." Mr. Aizawa answered. You smirked at the compliment.
I guess winning is everything, huh?
"UA Sports Festival, first-year stage! Who could've predicted the developments at the beginning or this conclusion? Right now, the first person back in the stadium is that man... Izuku Midoriya's made a huge splash!" Present Mic stated as soon as Midoriya reached the stadium. You really didn't see that coming. You ended up being second place...
What do I do if Dad's watching this? I bet he'll regret about what he said that I 'improved'. Well damn it!
"Again... Damn! Damn it!" You heard Hothead curse not far away from you. You headed to his direction and patted his shoulder. "Let's just accept it, Hothead. None of us were expecting that." You said in an annoyed tone. He stood up and held your hand that was on his shoulder.
E-Eh?!
You felt your cheeks burning up. You tried to pull out your hand but his grip was too strong even for you.
"B-Bakugo! W-What do you think you're d-doing?! People are watching you know!" You yelled. Your face turned into a tomato when he put down both your hands and he intertwined his fingers to yours until you ended up holding hands.
Damn it, everyone's watching!
"B-Bakugo!" You shouted. Instead of letting go, he held your hand tighter. "Can't you just shut up?" He spoke with a calm and nervous tone.
Maybe... He just wants comfort?
You stood in front of him and gave him a hug. He was shocked but he hugged back as his arms slid on your waist. You stayed like that for a few seconds until you saw Ashido and the others coming to your way. Your eyes grew wide and immediately let go of the now-calm Bakugo. He also let go of your hand when both Kaminari and Kirishima were heading towards you too.
"Y/N!"
"Bakugo!"
Both Kirishima and Ashido exclaimed. "Eh-ehehe, w-what's up?" You asked nervously hoping she didn't see you and Bakugo hugging just a second ago. "That was quite hard, right?" She asked as she wiped her sweating forehead. "Y-yeah!" You responded.
"Bakugo, that was unexpected, huh? I mean, who knew Midoriya could get first place?" Kirishima asked but Bakugo walked away. You heard him let out a 'tch' when he passed you. He must be so angry about Midoriya winning first place.
Oh, so that's why he said he needed me to hold his hand. I kinda feel sorry for him but I know he'll pay off in the end.
He'll be smiling after this, and I'll make sure of that.
