"Ugh! This stuff is nasty!" Tam grumbled as he spat out the Mountain Dew he was drinking.
Christmas had already gone by a few days ago and it was already New Year's Eve. Again, the party was hosted at the Vackers house. Biana for the past hour, had been giving everyone soda to drink. She was determined to keep everyone awake for midnight by getting them on a sugar high.
Linh frowned at her drink. "For once, you are right brother."
"What do you mean for once? I'm always right!" Tam grumbled.
"Keep telling yourself that Bangs Boy," Keefe said, smirking as he gulped his whole Pepsi drink down.
"Oh, I will. Because I'm right!" Tam snapped, glaring at Keefe.
Sophie rolled her eyes. "Boys are so immature."
"They are," Biana agreed.
"What do you mean? I'm mature!" Fitz defended with a deep voice, straightening up from where he was sitting next to Linh.
"Yeah, me too!" Dex exclaimed, trying to make his voice deep but it came out as a squeak.
Marella giggled. "You guys are cute."
Tam slowly turned to face Marella from where he was sitting in his usual dark corner. "Did you just call me...cute?" Tam hissed, his eye twitching from under his bangs.
"Um...no!" Marella squeaked as she backed up, looking pale.
"I'm pretty sure she called all of us cute," Nick said, amused.
"One thing is for sure, the Keefster is hot not cute! I mean, c'mon. I think the Hair says it all," Keefe said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, gesturing at his hair.
Tam scoffed. "Your hair looks like a mop that just got chewed up by a dog! Mine is cool."
Keefe slowly turned to face Tam. "Did...you just insult the Hair?" He asked, his face full of horror.
"I did," Tam said, gritting his teeth and narrowing his eyes.
Keefe narrowed his eyes as he cracked his knuckles. "Bangs boy, you better keep an eye open when you sleep tonight."
"Oh! Things are getting heated in here!" Stina said.
"Yeah, over hair!" Fitz scoffed. "Please, why fight over hair when you have these bad boys!" Fitz exclaimed as he flexed his arm, showing impressive muscles.
"I have muscles too!" Keefe defended, flexing his impressive muscles too.
"But mine are bigger!" Fitz said, grinning and waving his arm over Keefe's face. Keefe went quiet when he realized that Fitz was right.
Everyone then looked at Tam to see if he would flex but he just scurried back to his dark corner. That seemed to say enough about his muscles.
Fitz's face gleamed with pride since he won the "who's the most manly" fight.
"Not so fast!" Nick said, pushing Fitz's arm down. Everyone's attention focused on Nick as he pulled back the sleeve of his sweater and flexed.
Everyone gasped. Nick's muscles were about twice the size as Fitz's. "Ha! You're not the only one who works hard to get guns!" Nick said, shoving his flexed arm in Fitz's face just like Fitz had done to Keefe. Keefe was also in shock.
The look on Fitz's face was priceless as he looked back at his arm. "Dude...whaaaat? Can I like have pointers?" Fitz asked, gawking.
Nick smirked as he pulled his sleeve back down. "Maybe." The matter seemed to be settled and Sophie noticed that poor Dex had shrunk back in the couch he was sitting in and was hugging his skinny arms around himself.
Biana then rolled her eyes. "You guys and your stupid flexing."
Nick smirked. "But you ladies like that stuff," he said, winking.
"He's not wrong," Marella said, eyeing Nick's muscles.
"Marella!" Sophie, Biana, Linh, and Stina all hissed, mad that she just lost their mini battle against the guys.
"What? I'm telling the truth," Marella said, shrugging. She wasn't even a bit ashamed of it.
"Well, despite what Marella says," Sophie said, sending a glare at Marella. "I couldn't care less about how a guy looks when it comes to what I like."
Keefe then raised an eyebrow as everyone looked at Sophie. "Is that so? So what do you like in a guy?" Keefe asked, crossing his arms.
Sophie then blushed when she realized what she really had said. "Well, I-I'm just s-saying that muscles and hair doesn't really have anything t-to do with my type."
"Oh, so you have a type?" Keefe asking, smirking.
"Everyone has a t-type!" Sophie stumbled.
Shoot...she was not helping herself...
Sophie just get it together!
Keefe and Nick then looked at each other with a challenging look in their eyes as they turned back to face Sophie. "So, what is your type?" Keefe asked Sophie.
"Umm," Sophie said, looking at Biana and Linh for help but they were looking at her with the same curiosity as everyone else. But it looked like Keefe and Nick wanted to know the most though.
Why?
And what would Sophie say about her type? Why did she even get herself into this anyways?!
Sophie gulped. "Well...my type is—"
"NO TYPE AT ALL!" A voice shouted from inside Biana's bedroom closet, followed by a clang of metal.
Everyone jumped in surprise as Sophie and Biana bolted up to run to the closet.
Sophie then slid the closet door open and gasped, her face turning red with anger and embarrassment. "DAD! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE IN BIANA'S CLOSET?"
"I was um...admiring Biana's um... shoes?" Grady said, plastering a grin on his face.
"They are beautiful," Biana agreed, picking up a heel to shine it.
"That's not the point!" Sophie said, gesturing to Grady. "You were spying on us!"
"No! Well not really...but actually yes."
"DAD! What kind of dad does that?" Sophie shouted, hoping to embarrass him right there and then.
"Me!" Grady said, not even looking the least bit sorry.
Sophie groaned and hid behind her hair as she saw that the rest of her friends were watching the whole thing. "Why were you spying on us?" She asked.
"Doesn't matter!" Grady said, sticking his tongue out. Sophie scoffed at his stubbornness.
Biana narrowed her eyes at Grady. "Wait...I think I know why you were spying on us!" Biana exclaimed, pointing an accusing finger at Grady.
"He was trying to hear our game plan for the traditional snow ball fight!"
Fitz, Keefe, and Marella all gasped as everyone else looked confused.
"Explain," Stina said.
"Well, every year for New Year's, we always do an epic snow ball fight. It's the grownups verses the kids. Usually, every year, the grownups cheat and send one of their teamates to spy on us and hear our game plan so they can beat us! And that's why Grady is here!"
Everyone else gasped as they all turned to Grady. "That is not why I am here!" Grady defended, but he looked guilty anyways.
"Liar! Get out of here nasty rat!" Sophie said.
"Did you just call your father a nasty rat?" Grady asked, picking up his infamous metal bat.
"Just leave dad!" Sophie said, tapping her foot as she pointed at the door.
"Okay, okay jeez I'm going! But just be prepared to lose," Grady said, narrowing his eyes at Biana and Sophie as he made his way to the door.
"Um we definitely won't lose this year! We have Foster on our team and an angry Bangs Boy!" Keefe spat.
"Hey!" Tam called from his dark corner.
Grady then opened the door, but before he walked out, he eyed each of the boys as he lifted his bat in the air. "Watch what you say boy," Grady said, narrowing his eyes at Keefe. "Snowballs won't be the only thing that will hit your face tonight," Grady said, waving his bat in the air for emphasis. "And that goes for you guys too!" Grady said, pointing at the other guys. Grady then left the room, his evil laugh filling the halls.
"This is going to be an interesting night," Sophie sighed.
