Dear Diary,
Yesterday I was kidnapped and almost taken away further. Elijah, who seemed like a nice guy, was staked. He was an original. Now it's about 3 a.m in the morning because I can't sleep. Once Damon and Stefan took us home I just wanted to be with Ty-which I learned he broke his curse-and we just bonded together. I told him about how I broke my curse but left out my witchy powers. When it started to get late we all headed to bed but I couldn't sleep. I have way too much on my mind to allow me to do that. THere's this 'He' Katherine and Elijah brought up cryptically. Then there's the curse and Klaus wanting to kill her. Maybe I should go read Masons Journals and see if he has anything about the curse? Yeah. I could go now. It'll keep my mind off of everything and give me answers at the same time.

After confiding in my Diary I then decide to go change out of my nightwear. Everything is getting more hectic maybe reading will clear it up? I get out of hed and head to my closet and throw on some jeans and a hoodie along with a beanie to accompany the outfit. I grab my phone my bookbag. I head downstairs and pack some snacks along with my grimoire. You see I kinda make my own spells because I don't have a family book of spells. I store the made spells in a notebook I had lying around but I cloak it to look like a regular notebook. I then creep out of the Lockwood Mansion.
I start walking in the woods. The walk there is peaceful. It's times like these I can feel as though everything can just disappear. It's refreshing compared to the chaotic lives we all live in. When I'm in the woods it's just me. No problems. No rituals. No vampires. No supernatural. It's just me. Me and nature. Maybe it's because I'm a wolf and a witch but I really do love nature.
I remember the first time I had to turn. I couldn't lock myself up in the cellar because Dad would use it, so instead, I was free. I transformed in nature. The pain for the first shift was a major bitch but after it was over. It was me, free. Plus since I'm also a witch I am kinda nature servent. Or at least that's what Bonnie says witches are, me on the other hand-I'm not so sure. I'm a hybrid. Two species that weren't supposed to be together. As I trudge deeper into the woods I catch Masons sent. I increase my pace towards his trailer just a little, until I reach it.
The smell of vervain emits from the trailer. He was always paranoid about vampires. I tug open the door, surprised that no one's been here since his death. I was pissed off at Damon for killing him but I couldn't stop him.
I walk around the trailer looking for his Journals that contained basically all information about Lockwoods. I find 6 underneath his bed. I take them and walk outside the noises of nature calming me. I sit on a log nearby and place the journals next to me. I read, and read, and read. So far everything is basic knowledge. Wolfsbane. The full moon. The trigger of the curse. Then I flip and something catches my eye.
Mates. It was a ting of the past. Something that's now nonexistent. A mate is who they are destined to be with. To love, to cherish, to protect. The mate bond cannot be broken. It's already formed since you two were born but will start as soon as you see each other. Along with the sent when your eyes meet they will change to your supernatural color (Wolves-yellow) instantly spark a connection. You'll want to be near them. Your mate can be anyone. Human, Vampire, Witch/Warlock, or Werewolf. Werewolves are the most common to be your mate though. Unfortunately mates are no longer a thing. The concept of the 'soulmate' was eliminated by a witch who loved a wolf but that wolf found his mate leaving the witch heartbroken and jealous. She broke the line of mates but it's still something wolves think about. When the connection got deeper people would start feeling what they feel, pain, and emotion wise. Although this can easily be sorted out by keeping them separate when an immense pain of physical or emotional pain is caused the person would feel it. They would know their mate is either in danger or hurt. And lastly, when the bond is completely formed they are---
The sentence sits off. The paper is smudged. Then my phone starts ringing. I sigh out and put the rest of the Journals in the bag I brought with me. I then pull out my phone and answer.
"Hello?" I question to the person on the other end.
"Hey, little bird. Look we need you to come over." Damon said sounding urgent.
"How soon do you need me there?" I question worry dripping from my voice not used t hearing Damon this way.
"Like yesterday. Oh and can you pick up Elena too?" I asks.
"Sure I'll be there soon," I say as I end the call. I quickly head back to the Lockwood estate and get in my car. I drive to Elena's house to see her already exiting her house.
"Hey, Lena! Need a ride?" I question already knowing the answer.
"Yeah." She says hoping into the vehicle with me."They called you too huh?"
"Yep." I respond popping the 'p'.
"Are you okay? You look sleep-deprived?" Lena asks worriedly.
"Yeah. Couldn't sleep much last night so I stayed up doing research." I reply vaguely. She drops the subject and I drive in a comfortable silence. Soon enough we pull up to the Salvatore house. Elena and I get out and head to the door. I knock on the door and Damon opens it.
"Hello, Elena." Damon greets. He then turns to me. "Little bird." He says as he opens his arms. I jump in them. as he smiles at me.
"Is Stefan here? He called, said it was important." Elena says as Damon puts me down leaving his arm to draped around me.
"Right this way," Damon replies as he lets Elena in and leads me along. As we approach Elena Stefan appears.
"Hey." He says to the both of us I nod in reply with a smile, one that he returns.
"What is this about Stef? Damon sounded pretty urgent, something he usually isn't." I state with worry. Damon rolls his eyes and Stefan turns to look at somebody behind him. I angle myself better to see. Behind Stefan I see Rose.
"You." Elena mumbles. I just stay silent knowing that she's here for a reason. Rose gives a timid smile. Stefan and Damon then lead us to the living room. Stefan takes a seat while I take one opposite. Damon is leaning on the seat behind me and Elena is sitting in front of a pacing Rose.
"Ok, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years. And I don't know what's true and what's not true. That's the problem with all this vampire crap. But Klaus I know is real." Rose starts off. Klaus the younger brother to Elijah. One of the originals.
"Who is he?" Elena questions intrigued.
"One of the originals." I start off. Damon smirks at me and continues my sentence.
"He's a legend." Damon finishes.
"From the first generation of vampires. Like Elijah." I inform Elena.
"No. Elijah was the Easter Bunny compared to Kalus," Rose said sounding scared.
"Pfff! Easter Bunny. He would be greatly offended if he heard that Rose." I say still chuckling. Damon whacks my head making it lurch forward and I turn to glare at him. He gives me a look telling me to 'shut-it' and I pout and look back. Rose takes this as a sign to continue.
"He was a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." Rose finishes as me and Damon simultaneously roll our eyes at that comment.
"Kalus us know to be the oldest," Stefan said with a ghost smile on his lips at mine and Damon's antics.
"Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me? Who wanted Gracie?" Elena questions as she looks at me worriedly. I simply give her an encouraging smile.
"No/Yes, and I don't know." Stefan and Rose said at the same time.
"What do you mean you don't know?" I question incredulously.
"I don't know. I told you I was just delivery." Rose responded.
"What they're saying is- I mean, if what she's saying is true..." Damon starts slowly starting to move away from me and towards Rose.
"Which it is." Rose snapped.
"And you're not just saying it so we don't kill you..." Damon states.
"Which I'm not..." Rose replies starting to get angry.
"Then we're looking at a solid maybe," Damon replied smiling sending me a wink. I wink back.
"Look, Elijah's dead, right? So no one else even knows that the two of you exist." Stefan says trying to be positive looking at me with a smile then Elena.
"Not that you know of," Rose said.
"That's not helping," Damon states rolling his eyes.
"Look, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him. I mean we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. I mean we don't know what's real. For all, we know he could just be some sort of bedtime story." Stefan tries to reassure me and Elena.
"He's real and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus then you're an idiot." Rose said trying to convince us.
"All right, we're shaking. You've made your point." Damon said sarcastically. Me and Elena look towards each other. We both get up at the same time.
"Where are you going?" Stefan asks.
"School. We're late." I reply for Elena gesturing between the two of us. Stefan then moves to get up.
"Let me uh- let me grab my stuff and go with you," Stefan said protective over us.
"That's ok. We know where it is." Elena responded as we both turn to leave. As we reach out of ear shot I whisper to Elena.
"You thinking what I'm thinking? There's one person who we know that has seen Klaus." I whisper she nods and we say at the same time. "Katherine."

We trailed in the woods with a perky blond vampire. Elena was carrying a bag of supplies while I still carried the bag I had this morning along with a little more blood bags.
"Tell everyone that we weren't feeling well and that Gracie and I went home from school," Elena told Caroline as she walked beside us in the forest.
"I can't believe I'm agreeing to this. I'm a terrible liar." Caroline tells us.
"And keep Stefan busy." I include as Elena nods in agreement. "We don't want him knowing what we're up to."
"I'm even worse at duplicity, and you both know this," Caroline exclaims.
"You managed to keep me occupied when Katherine paid Stefan a visit." Elena points out as we get closer to the tomb.
"Yeah, 'Cause she threatened me. Not that I'm saying you should use that as a tactic. It's-Stefans gonna see right through me." Caroline tries.
"Care, as our friend, do you promise or not?" I say stopping right in front of the Blond. Caroline sighs and thinks for a moment.
"You had to break out the girlfriend code," Caroline says exasperatedly. "Ok. I promise." She finally caves.
"Ok." Me and Elena reply as we continue our way towards the tomb.
"Why don't you guys want Stefan to know?" Care questions curiously.
"Because...Care, He would never let us be doing anything remotely close to this." I reply as I start climbing down the stairs to the tomb, Elena following behind me.
"Are you sure you two want to do this?" Care tries again to stop us.
"Yes, We're sure. She's the only one who knows the truth about Klaus, the only one who can tell us how to stop him." Elena answers.
"But you're asking for the truth from someone who's probably never given it. Are you sure about this?" Care asks again.
"Yes, Care. We can't just sit back and wait. I have to know why they wanted me-we have to know." I respond, motioning between me and Elena."Please." I beg alongside with Lena. Caroling looks between the entrance and us before walking over. She picks up the rock with her vampire strength and moves into the side.
"Katherine," Elena calls out her voice echoing throughout the tomb walls. She then turns around to Caroline. "We'll be okay from here," Elena informs her. I then hear shuffling from inside the tomb. I see Katherine shuffling towards the light.
"Hello, Elena," Katherine says not acknowledging my presence. "Come to watch me wither away? Good-bye, Caroline."
"As long as we stay on this side of the door, she can't hurt us. Please." Elena says as Caroline leaves. I sit on the ground as Elena places her bag down.
"Does Stefan know you two are here?" Katherine questions us.
"I brought you some things," Elena informs as she ignores Katherine's statement.
"You came to bribe me? What is it that you want?" She says getting straight to the point. Elena throws the bag to the floor.
"We want you to tell us about Klaus," Elena informs.
"Mmm. You've been busy. So have you little Lockwood." Katherine says to me as I start pulling out the Journals.
"I also brought you this," Elena says as she pulls out a book. "It's your family history. I've read it. IT says in here that the family line ended with you. Obviously that's not true."
"You think that if you brought me some family keep-sake, that I'd open up?" She questions.
"I also brought you this," Elena says pulling out a bottle of blood. Katherine rushes to the door only to be blocked. "You don't look good. How long before your body shuts down? 10, 20 years? Must be painful to dedicate and mummify. I can't even imagine." Lena taunts.
Katherine then slides down the wall. Elena pours a small cup and slides it over to Katherine with a stick.
"You have the Petrova fire." She says downing the red crimson liquid. Color returns to her face
"More blood?" Elena asks as she pulls the cup back.
"It's a long story, Klaus and I. Goes all the way back to England, 1492, after I left Bulgaria. Or was thrown out..."Katherine continues as I focus on the Journals ignoring the story.

"So how much of your little story is true?" Elena asks.
"I have no reason to lie, Elena. I have no reason to do anything but sit here read and rot. " Katherine replied. By this time I tuned back in.
"Ok, assuming it's even partially true, that's not the reason why you cam back, is it? Because you wanted to be the one to hand me to Klaus. " Elena said figuring it out.
"500 years on the run, I figured maybe he'd be willing to strike a deal. Added bonus with Gracie too." Katherine responded.
" So you got Mason Lockwood to find you the moonstone?" Elena asked.
"Right again," Katherine smirked.
"What else do you need to break the curse?" Elena questioned.
"Hmmm, look who's getting smarter." Katherine teased.
"It's not just the moonstone, is it? Otherwise, there would be no reason to trigger Tyler Lockwoods werewolf curse." Elena concludes.
"Yeah, why not use me?" I question generally curious.
"Witches and there spells so many ingredients, so many people to sacrifice," Katherine said then turned to me. "Plus, your precious cargo Grace May Lockwood. So much so that I don't think they'd be happy if I offered you."
"So you need a werewolf?" Elena questioned further looking at me with a reassuring smile.
"Believe it or not they're hard to come by,"Katherine replied smirking.
"What else?" I question somewhat fearful.
"A witch to do the spell. Mine bailed but Bonnie will do just fine." She answered.
"What else?" Elena asked knowing there was more.
"A vampire," Katherine responded with a smirk on his face. I was coming around to Katherine. I didn't necessarily hate her just didn't necessarily like her since she tried to kill me.
"Caroline," I said fearfully.
"It could've been anyone I suppose but I liked the poetry of Caroline," Katherine said smiling.
"So you were gonna just hand us all over to be killed?" Elena said not liking the words coming out of her mouth.
"Better you die than I." She responded simply as she traveled deeper into the tomb.
"Kat!" I call out wanting to get answers on who 'He' was.
"Yes 'Little bird'?" She asks as she turns back around using the nickname Damon calls me.
"I got you some blood bags too." I say tossing her a couple."Look, I don't necessarily hate you, honestly, I think we could be good friends. But you did try to kill me..." I trail off.
"Thanks, Grace. I think it would be nice to have a friend, I haven't had one in a while." She says mostly to herself.
"Can you tell me who 'he' is? It's been annoying me for days now." I say practically begging for answers.
"Hmmm. Let's just say that he's been waiting a very long time for you." She responds teasing me.
"Come on. Why can't you tell me?" I question.
"It's not my place to tell. I can promise you that it will be the best thing that ever happened to you. I'm almost jealous." SHe states genuine.
"What brother?" I ask.
"Pardon?"
"Elijah said 'he' when I guessed it was one of his siblings he said I was right. So what sibling is he?" I question. Katherine just smirks at me and turns walking away. "I'll come back with more blood bags later," I respond as I pick up my things and prepare to leave.
"That'd be nice Gracie." She says as she trudges further into the tomb.

I then hear someone coming down the stairs. Stefan. He looks at Elena and then me. I timidly wave.
"Gracie. Elena." Stefan calls out as he enters.
"Stefan. What are you doing here?" Elena questions.
"I could ask you two the same question." He replies.
"Caroline told you." I sigh out.
"No. She kept your secret, but it didn't take long for me to figure out what was so important that you two would have to keep it from me." Stefan tells us.
"We knew that you would stop us. We needed answers." Elena explains.
"Listen to me. Whatever she said to you two is a lie. Do not listen to her. She is a liar, Elena. Gracie." Stefan says to us.
"What if she isn't? You didn't hear what she told us. One of the originals wants me and Klaus wants to sacrifice Elena." I try to reason.
"You don't have to worry. I'm not going to let anything happen to you two." Stefan tries to reassure us
"That's the problem. You won't..." Elena says. "But you'll die trying. How is that any better?"Elena tells Stefan.
"There's nothing you can do, Stefan. I haven't even told you the best part of the story. When I returned home, my whole family was dead. My entire family, just to get back at me for running. Whatever you do to escape Klaus, he will get his vengeance. On your friends, your family, on anyone that you've ever loved." Katherine says as her gaze turns towards me. Then it clicks. Klaus is who 'he' is. But now the question is why?
"No. Look at me." Stefan tries to calm Elena down. " No. Do not listen to her, ok?"
"Always the protector. But even you must realize that she's doomed. There's nothing you can do to stop it." Katherine tells Elena."Unless of course, you have this." She then pulls up the moonstone.
"That's the ultimate lie, isn't it? You spun this whole thing so that we would have to get the stone from you, didn't you?" Stefan integrates.
"I didn't spin anything, Stefan. It's the truth." Katherine states.
"No. Let me guess. You want to trade that stone for your freedom. Hmm? You manipulative psychotic bitch." Stefan spits.
"Heh. My freedom? That's where you're wrong, Stefan. I don't want my freedom, because when Klaus shows up to kill us all-and he will...I'll be in the tomb, where no vampire will enter, because they can't get out. I'll be the safest psychotic bitch in town. " Katherine says as she leaves again. At this point, I exit the tomb. I needed time. Time to breathe. So I just walked around the woods for a bit to clear my head.
But at some point, I felt my body being pushed onto the ground. And I smelt something and knew who it was. He was the new boy Bonnie was talking about before. I turn around flipping my body off the ground and growled at him letting my eyes showing. He flinched a little and backed up clearly not expecting it but I continued to growl. Just as I was about to launch myself at the boy my wold went black.
