Emma comes into the room, banging a big spoon against a pot.
I wake up instantly, clutching my amulet.
Ray groans, bonking my head.
"Sorry, sorry,"
I said sheepishly once I realized when I awoke I had elbowed him.
For Ray and I, there is no such thing as sleeping in separate places when there's the chance for us to cuddle.
Ever.
Pftt
"Yay for beds!"
some of the kids shouted.
"I slept so well! So! Well!!"
Ray rubbed his forehead and I chuckled.
"Mm... yeah, that's good,"
He muttered in response to her.
"Were comforters always so soft?!"
"I know right! This is the best!"
As I was about to get up, Ray pulled me back down.
"Ow,"
I said sarcastically.
"You're my pillow,"
He said, laying his head on my back.
"Ha. ha. You've got the whole squad laughing."
He chuckled and soon let me go so we could get up.
"Emma! We put away the blankets!
So we can go now? Can we?!"
They were talking about a bath, I smiled.
"Yeah, go ahead. You've been looking forward to it since last night, after all,"
She smiled.
"All right!!"
"Hey, don't stay too long,"
Ray stated.
"Okay!"
~Time Skip~
I sighed, leaning back in the water.
"This is relaxing,"
Anna commented with a smile.
Us girls were all taking a shower, well, bath together.
(This isn't weird, the boys did the same-)
Gilda chuckled.
"It really is."
"I like this place,"
Emma then said energetically.
"Me too!"
they agreed.
I stayed quiet.
I looked at the ceiling in boredom.
There's no privacy here...

"Clothes!!"
I looked at the clothes, inspecting them.
"Change of clothes! We can do laundry!"
"I know! We can finally wash these."
I took the clothes either way.
I guess they looked nice.

"Thank you for the food!"
We said in unison.
"This shelter is pretty amazing. There's a bath, toilet, and kitchen. And even a garden. It's more than I expected,"
Ray stated.
"Water is secured from an underground well. With the help of geothermal energy... and organic waste, you generate power. If that's not enough, there's an auxiliary generator powered by separate fuel too,"
he added.
"What's organic waste?"
Don asked, I snickered and whispered into his ear.
He turned pink by the contact, but my words made his eyes widen.
"What? You can get power from our poop?!"
He exclaimed.
"Hey, she said Compost too,"
Ray added.
"Don!! Ray! Y/n! We're eating,"
Gilda shrieked.
"So as long as we don't use too much, we'll have plenty of water and power.
And we won't create much trash,"
Ray changed the subject.
"Most of the food in the pantry is gone, but..."
Emma started.
"Well, that man's been eating for 13 years,"
Don added.
"But there were birds flying outside. And I saw lizards and snakes too,"
Emma continued.
"We still have a lot of nonperishables we brought from the house.
And we have the seeds Mujika gave us-"
My heart dropped and the mention of her, I missed her...
"Let's expand the garden and plant them there,"
I said.
"We can live in this place,"
Emma smiled.
"Yeah. Minerva's not here, and there's a weird old geezer. There are still unanswered questions, but... B06-32 is the best hideout,"
Ray smiled.
"A hideout... it's safe... and clean. All of us can live and survive here for a long time."

Nat started to play the piano, which he seemed good at.
And I, well, I was helping wash dishes.
"We're starting from here, aren't we?"
Emma smiled.

"We're going to share this happiness with Phil and the others. We'll go to the human world with our entire family together,"
Emma said.
I smiled, not a day went by where I didn't think of them.
"Yeah,"
Ray and I agreed.
"I miss Phil and the others... and Norman. Sonju and Mujika as well,"
I muttered.
Ray didn't say anything for a second.
"We can still see Phil and the other kids. That's why we're looking for clues."
"Yup! We found the reference room. So first, let's look for Mr. Minerva! The key to that is in the reference materials... and in what that man knows."
