Chapter 67

You opened your eyes as you woke up from your sleep, finding yourself in Jimin's bed with him nowhere to be seen around, thing that made you panic a bit, in thoughts that maybe you have woke up way too late and people must have noticed your absence from your room.

You hurried out of his bedsheets with such worrying thoughts as in no way you would benefit to awaken any suspicions to anyone related to the actions of last night and then proceeded to get dressed before opening the door slightly and taking a pick outside.

A maid fell to your vision passing by and you instantly closed the door, feeling a bit stressed momentarily relating to how to get out of his room without being seen.

Why didn't he wake me up earlier!

You whined in your head as you took some deep breaths and looked around, your eyes falling on the window but the thought of getting out from there was too risky as the possibilities of being seen was higher because the staff always do massive cleaning of the garden and the main entrance in the early morning hours while others prepare the breakfast so everything will be on point when they were to wake up.

You searched for your phone as you the thing that could betray you the most was your dress form last night and if you were to appear on the corridor with other clothes, you could easily pretend like you were looking for your butler.

"Jimin, please bring me some clothes ." You texted him, thinking that he may be somewhere around the house, doing his job but even though you waited a bit, no reply came.

Where did he leave his phone that he isn't see-

Your thought process was interrupted as soon as your eyes fell on a bag at the side of his desk and you approached it finding inside a pair of your clothes. You couldn't help but smile in relief as you got them out of your bag, a smile reaching on your lips at the fact that he had taken proper measurements for you.

You quickly wore the new clothes and left your dress on the bag, bidding it again behind his desk in order to take it later, then you picked outside of the door again and slipped out as soon as no one was around. You cleared your throat a bit as you walked down the corridor till the kitchen's door, where you came face to face with a maid.

"Good Morning." You calmly greeted her and she quickly dismissed her surprise and bowed to you, greeting you back.

"Can I have a cup of coffee in my room please?" You requested in order to not be suspicious and the maid looked up at you questioning if you were not going to attend breakfast since it was due to thirty minutes.

"I will but I craved some coffee right this instant so please, have it ready."You let her know of your final words, properly and calm as you proceeded to walk away up the stairs and into your room, where once inside you felt an amount of safety.

You laid in your bed and stretched your body, now relaxed and as memories of last night came in mind again, you couldn't help but let a smile reach on your lips. When was the last time you had felt like this? You weren't sure. This feeling of bubbling energy and unreasonable joy. This tingling sensation that makes you smile no matter how much you may want to not do so.

The more you tried to contain that smile the more it would break out wider and sweeter making you lay face down on your pillow, feeling complexed over your own feelings. A mix of embarrassment and shyness , fear and uncertainty as well as joy.

What was there to smile for? What happened was definitely wrong and it shouldn't have happened because if it was to be found out it would cost you greatly but even though you knew and understood the reality well, yesterday's memories were still one of the memories you will never forget. The way he displayed his love for you, the way he held you and touched you, the way he kissed you and spoke to you, little whispering words of love. The way his eyes gazed at yours with so many emotions. You may have not been sure what they all were but after many years, he made you feel loved. Just by looking at you.

Did he really love you as strongly as you felt it? Maybe not but strangely you didn't mind the amount. You didn't want to measure anything because you weren't sure about what was love and feelings supposed to be measured with.

All your life you were a human ruled by logic and rules, things that needed to be done and others that you weren't allowed to. Strict calculations and patterns that needed to be followed. Structured behaviors from which you were never to get astray. A circle of people that felt like copies of each other sometimes. Perfectly educated, always well mannered, always in control of their lives and themselves. No emotions were supposed to ever take over you but truth was that you were an emotionally driven person and as such, just like under rage and anger you had agreed on marrying TaeYong for revenge, now you had given into Jimin's love because your emotions drove you there.

How ridiculous was it? For you to really make the mistake and trust someone this much after knowing well that people always let down people. How absurd would sound if you were to say that all the examples you had seen of people stabbing others behind their back, you couldn't help but want to be fair and not judge him by the fact that you, in general, had accumulated trust issues? Everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves and maybe the chance you gave him was too generous but no matter what your brain was to say, your heartbeat kept saying that he could be trusted.

How couldn't he after all? Someone that managed to tear the dark sky under which you constantly live, with a bright sunray that brought a bit of warmth in your cold inner world.

---Change of set---

Jimin had called the man that was inside his house and informed him that he was waiting down the road at an alley to meet him and give him his money.

He stood there with his phone in his hand, reading and rereading the text you had send him earlier to which he didn't found the courage to respond. You weren't even in front of him yet he felt unable to face you as he knew well he had done you wrong.

His feelings were a mess but he held tight the suitcase with his money, trying to assure himself that he did what he had to do. This, wouldn't hurt you too much, right? You were a strong person after all and you never fully seemed to believe in him or anyone.  Maybe in a corner of your mind, you must have always been unsure of him and that somehow may shield your emotions and pride a bit as you were to be proven that your suspicions were right. Maybe his actions won't deepen your wounds as he feared and maybe you would simply categories him as on more fake person that happened to fall on your path and easily you will cast him aside.

He wanted for all those maybes to be the truth as they would benefit you and somehow he couldn't bear the thought of you being hurt because of him but he also felt hurt at the thought of being someone that you would discard so easily. His feelings that would be nothing but mare lies that belong to the trash bin in your perspective, made him somehow feel wronged and hurt.

He in no way was the wronged one though and he knew that well but he never wanted to be the bad one either.

Out of his thoughts of you, got him the car that suddenly appeared and blocked the one side of the alley that had already one entrance only and he quickly placed his phone back on his pocket as men started lining up before him, in the middle of them, the collector with which he spoke on the phone with.

"You surprise me pretty boy. You really came on time." He spoke to Jimin with slight amusement as he was curious momentarily to know what had he done to get that amount of money so quickly.

"I hope my family is alright." Jimin gave him a stern look as his grip on the suitcase tightened.

"Of course they are. A bit scared maybe, but other than that, they are just fine. And from the moment you give me the money, the two men I left on their house will surely leave them alone."The man let him know how conscious he was of Jimin's actions and how much disbelief he held for him as his measurements -of leaving men behind in his house in case he was to pull any tricks on them- displayed just that.

Jimin placed the suitcase on his other arm and opened it in order to let him see that he indeed had the money then he closed it and asked him to call his men to step out of his house and then he was to give the suitcase to him.

The man hesitated at first but then gave the order through his phone and Jimin without hesitation threw the suitcase at his feet. He stared at his eyes and as he saw the rage in Jimin's gaze, the man felt threatened even though he was surrounded by his men that were all armed.

"This is the end of the road for the business we had between us. If I ever see you or any man of your boss near my family again..." Jimin stepped closer, causing the men around him to pull out their guns but he didn't seem faced by it at all nor his feet halted, till he stopped right before the man, that now felt the tension of his eyes, on his bones.

"I will make sure to tear your heart out of your chest, slowly and painfully" Jimin added on his threat then he left a smile to appear on his lips that made him look more terrifying. He was trying his best to make his point across after all as well as contain his desire to punch him right then and there, for he ever dared to terrify the people he loved the most like that.

After some minutes of a staredown, Jimin walked passed the speechless man and near his car, which he swiftly jumped on and stepped onto to pass on the other side where he nonchalantly started walking up the hill to go to his house.

After some steps away he saw the two other guys leaving in their bikes as they passed him by and his facial expression hardened in anger while his steps fastened, wanting to see them safe and sound as soon as possible. He didn't even notice when he past steps became running and he found himself panting on his doorstep that was wide open and cries were able to be heard coming from the inside.

His heart grew heavy as the instant awful thoughts that crossed his head as he rushed inside the living room, only to find the two kids he loved the most in his life, crying their eyes out on the couch while his sister and his father were trying to calm them down.

He quickly went and took them in his embrace, holding them tight, the way they wrapped their arms around his neck, calling his name.

"It's okay, it's okay. I am here now. They are gone. They will never come again. I promise you. Now one will ever make you cry again." He whispered reassuring words at them as his eyes met the tearing eyes of his sister and then he took notice of the sad gaze of his father that broke his heart.

Maybe he had broken himself with his actions. Maybe he was never to be the same after this moment, but if it was to prevent the pain from ever filling their hearts, he couldn't help but think that it was worth it.

His family was all he had and in no way, he was ever willing to go through the pain of losing someone because he had tasted the feeling of absence once. He knew how it feels to lose someone you love dearly and no matter how much you miss them, they never come back.

That is the true risk of loving. Because when you love humans, you love something that can't be around you forever because we all have a certain day that we will leave this world. There are plenty of other reasons that you can lose someone though and they will never return to you.

Yes, apparently he had lost someone tonight after all. He had lost you and no matter how much he may come to miss you, he knew. There was no coming back.

---To be continued....

Hello guys

I wanted to inform you that I have been having some internet connection issues as well as the fact that Wattpad is playing some games on me lately and it doesn't let me log in my app. My phone kinda crashed yesterday so I will be mostly using the PC.

I am hoping at least my internet gets more stable soon enough cause the situation is beyond frustrating.

I hope you all are doing well. Do your best to stay healthy and let's be as positive as we can in these boring and mentally testing days. Fighting!
