Olivia's POV

As Pan elaborated the past he had well hidden from me until that night where I watched many of his painful past memories, I started to feel sadness and concern. Just like the other day, it confirmed to me that he was not a pure evil with care for no one. He was a lost boy, never understood for what he had suffered and had now become. Sure, it was easy then to enter the darkness because all the pain can only be 'satisfied' by giving it to others according to him and what he had seen before. I knew this to be wrong. So very wrong.

To become who he was, Peter pan, but mostly forever young, he had abandoned his brother, Rumplestiltskin, apparently now the Dark One. I know there was a part of him who no longer care about these crimes, but the other part... I could see right through him. He hated himself for it, therefore being a villain was just in the keep-along line of his dark past. He had tried with Wendy, but the girl had someone else on her mind and no time to comprehend this complex, intense and shattered boy.
So I knew then that I would do it. I wanted to save him. To get him out of this terrible path, of this evilness corrupting his soul. There was good in him and nothing could make me doubt that. And anyone who disagreed with this could go the hell.

So Peter had grown up in a small cottage in the Enchanted Forest. His mother was a witch, a common one, and she left her son after 6 years, saying she had nothing to make of him. She had made sure he stayed out of the way all this time, having him work at an inn, selling him to the man running it. She left with no regret whatsoever if not the one of giving birth. This broke the little kid's heart, he who loved his mother so much, and what could be worse than having her reject you as if you're not worth the actual existence?
He was taken in by the man working in the inn, a drunken crazy fool, beating him up whenever he felt the slightest twist of mood. So Peter fled. After three years, he fled, taking his baby brother with him. He got to another town, far from his original village and tried to get a shelter, any place to work and sleep, but everyone rejected him, suspicious of thieves and evil spirits taking the figure of children to come and destroy your home. They accepted the baby but not him. Peter would not leave his baby brother so he traveled on the road for three other years until he decided to actually steal for a living. He became very independent and ruthless, unafraid to steal whatever he found and sold it to get food and clothes. His little brother Rumple couldn't help, he was only 5 then and Peter was 14.

Peter grew more and more ruthless, and had his first kill at 15. He grew from terrified to bored. He didn't care that much anymore. He still tried not to kill that much, but this was a ruthless world. Why play by the rules when you know you can win with cheating?

Around eighteen, he found the shadow offering him the deal:
Eternal youth, but he had to give up what he loved the most, aka his little brother.
As he encountered the story, I felt Peter tense behind me. I took his hand in mine, squeezing it, telling him to go on. He drew in a sharp breath, confessing he had traded his brother for youth and power. I couldn't say I wasn't horrified at his actions because I was. Family was for me the greatest thing I could ever have, and youth nor power had no importance next to that. That didn't make me utterly better than him, I had my flaws.

As he went on, telling me everything in a hard voice, I bit my lip understanding how broken he really was, eventhough he would never admit it. He finished saying

"Then... here we are..."he trailed off, unsure of what else to say, ashamed.
He sighed heavily and let go of my hand, his elbows on his folded knees, his forehead in his hands. I whirled around and lifted his face, my eyes scanning it with sorrow. But I wasn't afraid. His eyes held no more secrets to me anymore, I could see through it.
There was so much in there, but I could see the breach in them, the shattered boy who lost himself in the dark. I took his hands in mine and locked eyes with him, determined and firm.

"Thank you. For sharing this with me." I said slowly and he frowned, surprised

"You mean you... you don't hate me ?"

"No. I can't hate you for making mistakes. You know my dad used to say: "Hate the crime, not the criminal." We make mistakes, we all do things we are ashamed of. I know you regret what you did to your brother. And I also know you use power and cruelty to hide how you truly are inside. Shattered to the soul.
But I see it.
You were told that you were a monster. But we tend to make monsters of people we do not understand. Which is why I could never call you a monster. "

I looked deep into his eyes once more and said firmly.

"I will fix you Peter. I promise. That's what you do when you love someone. You collect the broken pieces and you fix them together because you want the other to rise, to be better, together. I know we can make this happen. "

With that I sat up and kissed the top of his head before wrapping my arms around him and keeping him against me, repeating in a breath.

"I will fix you Peter. I will."

Felix's POV

Two months passed, and I couldn't help but feel delighted of how much Pan had changed, no longer listening to his shadow but to his lost girl. I could tell he was trying to be better, for her and she was just there for him, gently stopping his arm from striking unjustly or sitting beside him when he was tensed. And he was there to keep her strong and happy. Honestly, nothing has felt more perfect than then. I could see Tinkerbell many times now, Pan knew and didn't seem that bothered which was a good thing. Olivia and Tink had grown to be close friends, spending days together or telling each other things. It felt good for both I guess to have some girl talk, I don't really know but that's what Livia told me.

Truly, all was well, for the first time in a few hundred years.

Back to 3rd POV

But as we all know... utter happiness rarely lasts...

Olivia was hunting with Lionel and the twins, concentrated on her prey.
Her eyes never left the deer and she drew in a breath, slowly pulling out a knife and aimed. She breathed in, ready to strike when a sharp pain in her head caused her to gasp and drop her knife, tottering, her hand reached for her head.
The pain grew, like needles hammering her skull, piercing through her skin and she groaned, both hands on the side of her head.

"Olivia? Hey Olivia What's wrong? "

She shook her head to say she had no idea.

"My head... it hurts"she whimpered and leant on Lionel now worried.

She leant against a tree and slipped to the floor, clutching her head and letting out small moans of pain.
Suddenly the pain released her head and she sucked in a breath, panting suddenly, pale. Lionel and the twins helped her up.

"We should tell Pan. Something is definitely wrong Olivia.

"No. Don't tell him. It's gone. See? The pain's gone. Nothing to worry about. I promise you boys. I'm fine. I guess I was just tired.

"But we just woke up!

"Uh yeah, but maybe I didn't sleep so well last night."

They said nothing and decided to walk back to camp. Olivia spoke up lightly

"You know what, you boys walk back I'll just stay her a moment all right?"

They eyed her carefully but she nodded at them so they shrugged and she let them go.

As they disappeared she suddenly leant on a tree once more groaning

"Ugh, what is wrong with me??"
Suddenly she felt all energy sucked out of her and cried out in pain as it caught her head in an untearable clamp and she clutched it with both hands, feeling like a terrible sound pierced her ear, and she could hear nothing else.

Olivia... Olivia... you know how these things end... they end badly... you know this...

You cannot trust them... trust me... it's for your own good.

"Aargh get out of my head!"she yelled. The pain instantly faded and she sucked in a huge breath, looking around, trying to calm her racing heart. The young girl stalked wobbly to the shore, exiting the jungle and knelt before the small waves dying on the golden sand. She collected some in her joined palms and rubbed her face with it, shaking the nausea off. It seemed to work, and she finally stood up, still a little panting and very confused. A smile instantly made it's way to her face, and she spoke up

"Hello to you too Peter."as she turned around to face the green eyed boy, leant against a tree trunk, arms folded across his chest and wearing his signature smirk. She stepped towards him and he pushed himself away from the tree before walking to his girl. She smiled fondly and let him come, saying

"Took you long enough to show up. Haven't seen you for two days."

"Missed me love?"

"What do you think?"she replied cheekily with a slight playful pout. Pan chuckled but went serious in a second as he eyed her carefully.

"The boys told me you were in pain?"
She snapped her head to him with a frown before shrugging it off

"Yeah, no big deal, just a headache.

"You're lying."he said and she rolled her eyes.

"Honestly I had a big headache that's all."

He nodded his head, humming in response. Olivia's smile suddenly faded as once more she felt weak in the legs and lightheaded. She tottered and felt a hot liquid coming down from her nose. She reached for it and looked : her fingers were covered in blood. And she felt more coming and groaned at the nausea taking her.

Peter's head whipped around as he heard the groan and his face paled in a second.

"Olivia!"he cried at the sight of the young girl with blood litterally pouring out of her nose, she tried to stop it but in vain. Peter blinked to her side and held a hankie below her nostrils, but the blood kept coming.
He steadied her, an arm around her waist and teleported them both to his tent. He then had a moment of strange sensation, he felt very light and a new energy seemed to rush through his veins, making him feel more powerful. He furrowed his eyebrows, Olivia leant on him suddenly and his eyes snapped to her arm...

The bracelet... he had completely forgotten about it... and it was shining... brighter than ever. All blood drained from his face, struck by realization... his Olivia was still under this spell, and she was dying...

Blood kept gushing from her nose and making her weaker and weaker. She kept a cloth against her nostrils until it would stop. After about five minutes, it stop but as she sat leaning on Peter, she had no strength to move.
He helped her sit on the bed and she immediatly fell asleep under Peter's worried sick gaze. That was not something that could be undone easily and he knew it. His shadow had to work with him on it, and that was not happening so soon, since Shadow disapproved the love which bounded the two young people.

________/////__________

"Nothing can save her now. I will not help you destroy what we have worked on for so long.

"Shadow this is my power, I decide the plan.

"Perhaps, but that is not what you signed up for. Besides, a magic that strong can hardly he undone."

Pan growled in frustration as he left Skullrock. Nothing could save her, all negotiating with the shadow had turned up to be unsuccessful. He got back to the tent the next day and she was awake, and stood up with his help, even though she kept assuring him she was fine.

Pan slammed his fist against the table with a raging growl and passed his hand through his messy hair. There was nothing he could do. He hadn't slept in days, desperate to find a cure against the dark magic of which Olivia was a victim. She had no idea about all this but he couldn't tell her just yet. He wanted to find something to save her first.
He looked around the tent, desperate and angry at himself. He blinked to the cliff, and started pacing. There really seemed to be no hope. Maybe if he sent her back to her world?
No she couldn't leave the island.

Days went by, he kept looking for a cure, anything that could save her, alas...it was too late. Olivia had had two nosebleeds during the past ten days.

Pan felt more than desperate now. She would die. And there was nothing he could do about it.

He fell asleep in his tent, sat before his desk, his face in the crook of his folded arm. He had never come across such a situation, at least not for a very long time. Working to save someone else than himself. Not even with Wendy had he ever pull everything he had to help someone else. It had always been him first. But here, with Olivia, it was impossible. He couldn't.

Olivia carefully stepped in, concerned about Pan's present state, seeing as she hadn't seen him in days or very shortly. She spotted him asleep on his desk and she walked to him. The young girl saw all the books spread around in the tent, all the different vials and the multiple scribbles on rough paper.

He was working way too hard.
"Oh Peter..."she whispered, passing a hand through his hair gently and kissing the top of his head. He woke up suddenly and squinted his tired eyes to look at her. The boy suddenly jumped, gathering all his stuff but she stopped him.

"Hey hey hey, Peter, it's okay. Come on. Leave all this boring stuff here and come with me to the cliff.
He shook his head with a sigh

"No, Olivia I can't. I have a lot to do."

She rose an eyebrow

"Well I'm sure it can wait. Look at you, you're pale and look like you could sleep for years. Now come on. This isn't an option by the way."

He gave in and followed her outside as she took his hand in hers and began running through the forest, her laughter echoing through the forest like a beautiful sound, a refreshing sound anyway. She pulled him to the beach in the end and ran to the water. He decided to make the most of the moment, after all, maybe this was one of the last. He chased after her and dived in. She laughed but then he didn't come out. She looked around and frowned, wondering where he had gone and what kind of joke he was making this time. She looked around and froze, trying to catch any traitorous sound when suddenly arms wrapped around her waist from behind, lifting her up and spinning her around. The young girl grinned, keeping her eyes close shut in excitement and glee. They swam around after that and were now sitting on the shore, side by side. She was grinning at the sight before her eyes and rubbing sand in her hands, between her fingers letting it drop back down in a thin golden trickle.

The young girl felt simply happy, glad. There was nothing to worry about. She thought back to all the things they had shared and a question popped in her head, without any feeling of jealousy or anything though.

"Peter...

"Mmh..?

"Do you... miss her? Wendy?"

His head snapped aside to look at her with surprise at the question. His eyes scanned her face for a moment before a small smile crept on his lips.

"No love. I don't.

I said goodbye to Wendy a long time ago."
Olivia frowned

"What do you mean by that?"
Staring at the sea he said

"Goodbye means forgetting. "He paused to look at her "I've forgotten about her now."

Olivia hummed in response and leant her head on his shoulder, thinking for a while before speaking up slowly and gravely.

"Then promise me you'll never say goodbye to me,....

Because as you said, ... goodbye means forgetting.

And I don't want you to ever forget me."

He wrapped an arm around her shoulders with a small sigh, and kissed the top of her head

"I promise."
She smiled and let the soft breeze stroke their faces, enjoying this quiet moment of peace with her beloved one.

"How about you? Do you miss it? The world? Your friends? Maybe you had someone."he said not too happy at the thought of it. Olivia shook her head

"No. It's a messy world, and eventhough I am attached to it in some ways, for it is where I have always lived, I do not regret it. As I said before, there is nothing for me there. And Harry, well he was nice and cute.."
Peter cut her off with his sudden grumbling as he rolled his eyes.

"Harry, eh? Sounds like a bloody boring moron to me."

Olivia rolled her eyes playfully and smacked him with the back of her hand... against his abs and she yelped

"Ow! Idiot!

"Well, you hit, love. Shouldn't have done it, you can't handle it"he teased smugly and she glared at him playfully

"Well you shouldn't have abs like that, it's dangerous. My hand.. ouch."she pouted as he laughed wholeheartedly.
She smacked his arm this time but he quickly prevented her to move and began tickling her, ignoring her yelps and her pleading for him to stop, in between laughs. She lay to the side on his lap, trying to pray his hands off her, unable to stop laughing, making him laugh with her. For just a moment he forgot about the actual tragedy going on, simply making the most of this perfect moment.

A gentle rain began dropping from the sky. Olivia flinched at the first drop on the tip of her nose and looked up in wonder with a smile. Rain started pouring harder but they didn't mind, not in the least. They let the rain soak them wet, after all, it wasn't even cold. Olivia was spinning, arms extended, and a playful smile stretching her lips as she stood on the beach.

"You can control the weather can't you?"she said loudly in order to cover up the noise from the rain.

"Yes I can, but I like to let it just do its own thing sometimes. "

She nodded, and appreciated the sight of a happy Peter.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"he said quirking am eyebrow.

"Happiness looks good on you. "

She said with a soft giggle and took his hand, balancing it gently in a soft rhythm, looking around at the rain on the island. A tune danced in her head and she began swaying back and forth in the rhythm, stepping back, forth and to the sides. Pan lifted an eyebrow seeing as she still had his hand in hers but she just listened to the music in her head, pursing her lips and suddenly took his other hand with a smile and swayed with him, humming the melody, concentrated. She executed a few steps, slowly, not bothered for the world of the strange situation : on the beach, under the rain.

Pan rolled his eyes playfully and she grinned

"Come on. You taught me how to fly, I'll teach you how to dance."

He shook his head at first but she ignored it and placed her hand on his, shaking it gently and spinning herself with their locked hands, and then making a few dance steps, laughing as she did so. After a kment she parted from him with a small laugh, when suddenly his hand was on her waist, pulling her closer and her hand in his he began executing complicated dance steps like half a sway and half a more modern dance. She opened wide eyes at how sure and precise he was. She had danced manh times with all types of dancers and some were very very good. But this.. she had never performed before. The songs echoing in her head were now playing. He led the dance, spinning her around and working the steps as she followed stylishly making him grin, he seemed to a actually like dancing. He span her, then got her back into a waltzing position. As the rhythm grew slower, they began swaying until Pan actually started leading her in a beautiful and complex waltz. She followed the steps perfectly, still surprised at how a good dancer he was. She twirled and he brought her closer, the music filling their ears, and for both of them there was no one around in the world.

Just her.

Just him.

Pan then wrapped his arm around her waist, lifting her and leaving the ground, dancing and flying at the same time. Olivia was gazing at him lovingly and her smile widened at the excitement of being in the air, at how magical it felt. She twirled again and again, giggling in delight.

Peter had his eyes fixed on her. Nothing else existed. Imagining her gone was painful. Looking at her smile, he refused to accept seeing it vanish forever. He needed to find a way to make her immortal. His Olivia could not die. Ever. He didn't care if that meant killing everyone in the realms, he wanted to have her by his side till the end of times. And he would. He would find the cure.

Peter pan never fails.

After one last twirl, Olivia bent backwards gracefully and stood back up with a smile and they slowly descended. As their feet touched the ground Olivia let out a breath
"Oh my God.. Peter this was... this was amazing, I mean I didn't know you danced so well! Woah I mean we just went into the air like it-"

Peter cut off her babbling by pressing his lips against hers, sneaking an arm around her waist to pull her closer. She responded immediatly as her hand went to his neck. They pulled away their faces inches apart.

"I hope this lasts forever..."she whispered gazing into his eyes. Peter flinched at her words, remembering the bracelet and the death menacing over her head. He stared down at her painfully.

"I won't let you go."he said firmly and she nodded with a smile before taking his hands in hers.

"I know that. Neither will I. All will go well.

"You don't know that.

"Of course I do. Now come on. You need to sleep."

He followed, though he couldn't help thinking about the spell. That was right. He needed help. From someone who knew something about magic. And there was only one other. And she was his last hope.
