narrator's pov.
zach laid on his family room couch as he stared at the tv screen. wizards of waverly place had been playing, and he wanted to spend his lazy saturday by watching disney+.
"good morning, zach," his mom greeted, holding a basket of laundry as she head down the stairs, "your father and i have to attend a party, so i'm leaving you with ryan and reese in about fifteen minutes."
"okay, mom, have fun at the party," zach replied, his eyes glued to the screen.
all of a sudden, zach's phone buzzed. as an antisocial teenager, his phone didn't get many notifications. zach was surprised to feel his phone buzz, and he opened it to see what the reason was.

his eyes grew wide, and the boy fell off his couch. his mom came running from the laundry room, "oh my gosh! zach, hon, what happened?"
"u-um, nothing," zach lied, his blankets and pillows all over the floor, "i thought i saw a spider."
"jeez, you scared me," his mom laughed.
zach smiled at his mom, and switched his focus back to his phone. he opened the instagram app, and refreshed it to make sure it still said that elena wanted to follow him.
he had thought it must've been a mistake, because in his eyes, who would want to follow a broken loser?

"who are you talking about?" reese asked, popping up from behind the couch with a stuffed unicorn in her hands.
zach jumped again, "u-um, nobody."
"do you want to play castle with me?" reese inquired, jumping up and down.
zach paused the tv, and smiled at his little sister, "okay, let's play castle."
"yay!" she cheered, pulling zach up the stairs to her playroom.
