A few days later. At the Queen's mansion.
Moira's funeral was over but some were at the Queen's mansion for the reception.
No one had seen Oliver since he showed up at the hospital for me a few days ago.
Who can blame him.
I walked over to Felicity who was sniffing a little "hey"
She looked at me "I don't even know why i'm crying. I mean, you have more reasons to cry than i have. Besides, i didn't even like Moira"
I smiled a little.
Felicity "Terrible thing to say about someone after they just died. In my defense, she was not nice. She was diabolical. Not a word you often hear at someone's funeral"
Me "You're not crying for her, Fel. You're crying for Oliver"
Fel "where is he? how could he not be here?"
I shrugged "i don't know"
Isabel walked to us "if Oliver's smart, he ran back to his island to hide. But maybe he'll attend your funeral"
Me "Well, he'll definitely attend to yours"
She glared at me and walked away.
At a warehouse.
I walked inside and saw Oliver sitting there on the ground.
Oliver "how did you find me?"
Me "I figured you'd come here. I was worried about you. You missed your mom's funeral"
Oliver "I'm sorry that i didn't go"
I shook my head "i don't blame you"
Oliver "i left for the cemetery. But i needed up here"
Me "in the secondary facility in case the one at the Verdant got exposed"
He nodded "but this became somewhere that i could just go and be alone. She's dead because of me"
I shook my head "Ollie-"
He stood up and walked to me "Five years ago, i could've cured Slade. And that would've prevented all of this "
I shook my head.
Oliver "And now all the people left that i care about ..we're all in his crosshairs. That ends tonight"
Me "how?"
Oliver grabbed his jacket "i turn myself over to Slade. I end this vendetta"
I shook my head "Oliver, no. Do you really think this ends with your death?"
He nodded "Yes, i do. After she was gone he told me that one more person had to die. And then it would end. This ends for Slade when he kills me"
I shook my head "i don't accept that. You shouldn't either. You can't just accept things, Oliver. Please, don't do this"
Oliver "Slade's whole plan was to take everything from me. He did. He wins. All that's left is for me to die"
I shook my head and grabbed his hand "Oliver, i won't let it happen"
He nodded and put his jacket around my shoulder "But you will. Because you know that that's the only way"
Then he walked away.
I looked after him in tears.
Then i took my phone out and called Dig "Dig, i need you to do something for me"
At the hide out.
Oliver groaned as he slowly woke up. Dig had knocked him out and brought here before he could talk to Isabel.
He looked at us "Diggle, what the hell?"
Then he froze when he saw Laurel standing next to me.
Laurel "Slade Wilson. He told me who you were"
I looked down.
Oliver "did he hurt you?"
Laurel shook her head "no. HE was trying to hurt you. And when you went missing i reached out to Catalina. She told me what you were planning on doing"
Oliver "it's what i have to do"
Laurel looked at us "Will you give us a moment?"
I nodded and walked out with Felicity and Diggle.
Night. At the Queen mansion.
Oliver dragged me inside by my arm.
I asked confused "what is wrong with you? "
No answer.
Me "Oliver, you're hurting me"
Oliver let go of me "Sorry"
Me "what is going on?"
Oliver "I need you to stay here"
I asked even more confused "why? Oliver, i wanna be out there and fight with you! I'm not a coward!"
He nodded "i know you're not but I need you to stay here"
I asked confused "why?"
He didn't look at me.
Me "okay, what are you hiding from me? Tell me"
He looked down "Back on the island... I had this photo in my pocket"
Me "a photo of what?"
Oliver looked at me "a photo of you"
I scoffed, shaking my head "You're kidding me?"
He just looked at me.
Me "You were the one who cheated one me, Oliver!"
Oliver "can I finish talking?"
Me "Oliver, why exactly is Slade after me?"
Oliver "He asked me once for who I was trying to find my way back to. I showed him a picture of you, Cat"
I froze.
Oliver "and I told him that when I made it back to you that I would never let you go ever again"
My heart sunk and i asked hurt "And how did that turn out for you?"
He sighed.
Me "We were broken up, you slept with my best friend! How dare you even to think I would ever go back with you after hurting me like that?"
He looked around.
I raised my voice a little "Oliver, I am talking to you!"
Oliver looked at me "Because everything was a lie!"
My jaw dropped "what?"
Oliver drove a hand through his hair "I never slept with Laurel, Catalina, I lied"
