You were inside Vale, reporting for the local newspaper for several reasons. But those will be addressed later (mostly money). Currently, Vale had been breached by White Fang and the Grimm had invaded the city. Chaos was rampant and death was clearly spreading. You were in cover on one of the rooftops, watching the destruction coming across the city. You were taking pictures of the attack. Pictures you knew your editors would love such as some destruction, several huntsmen and civilians.
That's when you saw her. Pyrrha and her team on the battle field. You and her had been friends for years and you even followed her from Argus to Vale. Which was reason number 2 and probably more important. She was your girlfriend. Albite a bit secretive with the whole thing due to the media and since you were a part of that media you knew that everyone at your paper and even Vale's would jump on celebrity news and relationships. But damn was it cool to see her fight. You couldn't fight for crap, only knowing basic punches and kicks. But being a huntsman...that wasn't for you.
Not that you didn't appreciate them, hell no. You loved huntsmen and huntresses. Your parents just couldn't afford it and you just never bothered to be trained. But that was fine. You liked being a reporter. It was fun. Once the battle was over, you descended down and onto the ground and saw Pyrrha with her friends. You hung back out of respect and she then turned back and saw you and gave you a smile. You quickly ran down to met her.
(Y/N): Team JNPR, Vale Vanguard and Argus Informant. Hoping for some questions and an one on one with Ms. Nikos?
Pyrrha: Well-
Jaune: Of course! As leader it is only best that we-
Ren: We would be honored.
Nora: Yeah! Being on TV!
Jaune: It's not TV Nora!
Nora: AWWW!
You continued to watch the three in argument as Pyrrha walked up besides you and quickly in the blink of an eye, kissed your cheek.
Pyrrha: One on One?
(Y/N): Wouldn't mind that at all, if your into that?
Pyrrha smirked and you two quickly took off towards an different local. Pyrrha contacted her team to inform them that she was going in for an interview with you. Unknown to them, you were both out on a date. She wore shades and basic civilian clothing while you guys were out and it was fun. Stopping by a small café, you both sat down for dinner.
(Y/N): So...how's Beacon?
Pyrrha: Marvelous! Simply marvelous! Oh you must see it some day!
(Y/N): Yeah. Some day. Maybe when we make this public?
Pyrrha: Or right after this! We could-
(Y/N): I dont want to drag unwanted attention towards you.
Pyrrha: I...(Y/N), if this is about those...insecurities then-
(Y/N): What insecurities?
Pyrrha: You know what I mean!
(Y/N): No I don't. I'm not insecure about anything. I got you. I got the job. Nice apartment. I'm good. Heck I'm great.
Pyrrha gave you an unamused and deadpanned look. Clearly, both of you knew you were the one lying and it showed. It really did. You weren't envious of the fame of fortune of Pyrrha's name. You were envious that you couldn't see her 24/7. Pyrrha placed a hand on yours and gave you her usual smile.
(Y/N): Stop giving me that look. You know how I feel about that look.
Pyrrha: What look?
(Y/N): Pyrrha, you know exactly what-
Pyrrha: I don't understand what you are talking about.
(Y/N): You know-
Pyrrha: I'm just smiling and-
The two of you had your small "argument" for the next few seconds until it culminated in the two of you laughing with each other and just having fun. After that, you both looked into one another's eyes, leaned forward and kissed one another. You both broke the kiss after a few seconds and sat back down in your seats and stared lovingly into each other's eyes.
(Y/N): I love you.
Pyrrha: I love you too.
Just as you two were about to kiss again, a waitress came over with your food and kinda interrupted you both. Not that either cared. You got your food and still went through with the professional side of things and conducted a small interview with Pyrrha. You asked her base line questions the people of Argus would have enjoyed to hear and inform them that Pyrrha was doing just fine.
Once dinner was done and paid for, you both headed out and began to spend some time around town. The commercial district of the city was vast enough to spend hours upon hours inside just hanging out. The two of you checked out a small park, walked around and talked around as well. Still, a sense of envy was felt within you as you heard her stories of Beacon. Again, you held no desire to be a huntsman. But you held every desire to protect Pyrrha.
Pyrrha: (Y/N), I...I know.
(Y/N): Know about what? What's wrong?
Pyrrha: Not for me. But for you. You don't have to worry about me.
(Y/N): Worry about you? (Chuckles) I never worry about you.
Pyrrha stopped right in front of you and gave one of the most unconvinced looks of all time. You attempted to find something to say, but clearly nothing was going to work. You slowly but your hand down and let Pyrrha walk up to you and takes your face in her hands.
Pyrrha: (Y/N), I'm fine. There is nothing to be concern with.
(Y/N): I know...but...I mean-
Pyrrha: (Y/N), you can tell me. Please.
(Y/N): (Sighs) I dont know if you'll met someone...better. Better than me. Someone who knew what they were doing and-
Pyrrha: (Y/N)...there is no one else. There can't be. And I know there can't be.
(Y/N): And you're confident in that assumption?
Pyrrha gave you another unamused look.
(Y/N): Yeah, you're confident in that assumption.
Pyrrha laughed slightly and grabbed your jacket and kissed you. You wrapped your arms around her and the two kept in passionate lip-lock between one another. Finally, you two broke the kiss only for air need and touched foreheads with one another. With that though, you both had to say goodbye for the night and you walked Pyrrha back to the docks and set her off.
Pyrrha: I'll see you soon.
(Y/N): I know you will. Love you.
Pyrrha: Love you too.
Pyrrha quickly kissed you before running back onto the ship and leaving for Beacon.

A few weeks later, your editor requested you do a follow up to the breach story and interview both Teams RWBY and JNPR and their preparations for the Vytal Festival Tournament. Of course, you agreed and got a free press pass and headed up to Beacon. You didn't tell Pyrrha since you wanted it to be a surprise.
Once you got up there, you scanned around the school for a bit, taking in the sights. Finally though, you found Pyrrha and her team inside the cafeteria. You quickly grabbed your scroll and texted Pyrrha and slowly began to walk towards her. However, as you were, some blonde girl just stepped right in front of you.
Yang: Hey, name's Yang.
(Y/N): Uh, hi. Can I help you?
Red Head Girl: Yang! Stop being weird!
Other girls appeared with the blonde known as Yang.
Ruby: Sorry about her. My name is Ruby Rose. You've met my sister, Yang. And these are Weiss and Blake. We saw the press pass and...we kinda saw you-
Yang: You snuck away with P-Money! So, how long have you two been doing it?!
Everyone just stopped and stared at Yang. After the long awkward silence existed, there was a cough that got everyone's attention. From behind these four were Pyrrha and her team.
(Y/N): (To yourself) Oh thank God you're here.
Pyrrha walked up to you and hugged you in front of everyone. Clearly jealous showed.
Nora: So...this is mister mystery!
(Y/N): Wait, they knew?
Pyrrha: Ah...kinda was bad...at hiding it.
(Y/N): (Sighs) I mean...I'm not complaining. Means I can do this without hesitation.
You grabbed Pyrrha and kissed her passionately. She returned it with equal passion leaving all her friends in shock. You broke the kiss and continued to look into one another's eyes.
Pyrrha: They didn't know about that.
(Y/N): Oh...uh...
Pyrrha: Surprise...
