Reader: Villain, Catwoman's Daughter

Summary: (Y/N) and Blue Beetle are in a relationship, but (Y/N) feels weighed down by her status quo of being a 'villain'. She decides to solve this problem once and for all.

Key: (V/N) = Villain name

-------------------------

>>Several Months Ago...<<

"Alright, Blue-Bug, can you let me out now?", you scowled, leaning against the prison wall while glaring at the blue hero.

"No can do, I'm afraid.", the famous Blue Beetle patiently said, "We need to keep you in the cell for further interrogation."

You let out a huff, tearing your gaze away as he added, "Plus, I'm on watch here. What would the team do if I just let you out?"

You didn't answer as silence filled the air. You were locked in a prison cell at the moment; trapped behind glass. A few moments ago, you had been captured by the Young Justice league, kept in their base for interrogation. Why? Because you were Catwoman's daughter; supposedly just as evil as her... which wasn't as true as they thought.

You just thought it was necessary to be a clone of your mother, pressured to be exactly like her. So all this time you were only pretending to be evil, trying to convince everyone and even yourself that you were as wicked and horrible as they assumed.

And another thing they didn't know was that you didn't know even the tiniest bit about the other villains' plans. Well, yes, you knew, but you didn't know the details. Ridiculous, right? It's like they didn't trust you... but you were locked in a Young Justice league cell at the moment...

But still...

"(V/N).", a voice interrupted your mental complaints, causing your head to shoot up, seeing a green martian knocking at the glass, "Time to come out."

"I already told you, I don't know anything about what they're planning.", you snarled, trying to act menacing, "They still think I'm too young for all their 'adult matters', they say.", you grumbled the last part.

"Well, I still might as well try.", the martian said sharply, "So please, if you will, come with me. Blue Beetle, you too."

Blue Beetle nodded obediently as he opened the cell with the button pad on the wall beside the cell, the glass extracting, "Time to finally come out as you wanted."

Oh, you could just hear the smirk under that stupid mask.

"Yes, yes indeed it is time.", you said curtly, stepping forward boldly to not show that you may or may not have been slightly unnerved.

Blue Beetle and Miss Martian shared a look before leading you out, scrutinizing whether or not the collar around your neck was secured. Once they were satisfied, the green martian levitated you into the air, her eyes glowing white color with Blue Beetle trailing behind.

They led you to an empty room where only a table and two chairs isolatedly sat. You rolled your eyes internally as you were seated; sitting across from you was Miss Martian whereas Blue Beetle stood silently in a corner of the room, observing you quietly.

You caught his gaze and cocked a brow under your mask, resulting in him looking away quickly, not wanting to hold your intense stare. You veered your gaze away once again to face the martian in front of you, remaining emotionless in your expression.

Miss Martian cleared her throat quietly, resting both hands on the table while entwining her fingers, staring at you with a stern glint in her eye, "I'm going to ask you a few questions which you must answer truthfully. And if you don't, I'll have to read your mind, which makes lying pointless, so you might as well tell the truth."

You threw her a pointed look as if saying, 'Isn't that a little obvious?', which she pleasantly ignored, whilst Blue Beetle noticed, hiding a small smile underneath his armor.

"Are you the daughter of Catwoman?", questioned Miss Martian, asking an easy question first.

"Yes, I am.", you answered truthfully yet dubiously, carefully listening to her questions to answer them without revealing too much.

"Has your mother, Catwoman, mentioned anything about her plans for the future?", she continued, waiting for your answer.

You decided to have a bit of fun, trying to smother the twitch at your lips that was coaxing you to simper mischievously, "But of course! She's decided to go on a date or two, maybe adopt another cat, be a bit evil, y'know, fun stuff like that.", you replied deviously, but hey, you were telling the truth!

Miss Martian's eyes flashed with irritation, "That sounds lovely, but I should be more specific.", as the words slipped out her mouth you heard an almost inaudible snicker, causing your ear to twitch a bit.

Even though Catwoman didn't have any supernatural abilities, it seemed that you did; probably from your father's side even though you had no idea who he was. You had super hearing powers, which was perfect since you were the daughter of Catwoman. And since the Young Justice team didn't know much about you, they didn't know you had superpowers of your own, which was why the collar didn't work. Moving on now...

You realized the owner of this snicker was Blue Beetle himself, trying to conceal his amusement. No one had noticed except you and you made eye contact once again. You tilted your head in curiosity, gazing at the blue hero with interest. Weird, right? You swallowed down the weird feelings you were feeling dryly; this time he didn't break eye contact with you.

Miss Martian continued to ask her questions while you answered all of them truthfully with no hesitance to her surprise. In the end, she gained almost nothing from the conversations, concluding that you didn't know anything with disappointment.

But throughout this whole event, you realized not once had you taken your eyes off the Blue Beetle.

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

Once you were back in your cell, you realized that you were once again being guarded by Blue Beetle, his back facing you. You coughed quietly, leaning against the prison wall casually with folded arms in front of your chest, "You didn't shy away from me back there."

Blue Beetle let out a small laugh, turning around to face you, "If I averted my gaze again I'd end up making a bad impression on you."

You felt yourself giving away a small smile, stopping yourself instantly, "You're right; I would've thought you were the most cowardly guy I'd have ever met."

He scoffed, "I am not.", hearing his insistent tone, you guessed that he was probably very stubborn.

"Are you a Gryffindor?", you blurted out. You've all heard the quote, 'Curiosity killed the cat', right?

Blue Beetle let out another laugh. At that exact moment, some other superheroes walked past, throwing the poor boy strange looks. Blue Beetle straightened, smiling sheepishly, "Sorry, scarab..." The others shared knowing looks, nodding at the blue boy before doing whatever they were doing beforehand.

Blue Beetle then turned back to you with an embarrassed expression, "Lo siento (sorry), and to answer your question, yes; I'm a Gryffindor."

You couldn't help but shake your head, "Now that explains all your stupidity."

"Hey!", he cried out like a child, leading you to turn away from again, not wanting him to see your secret smile.

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

After a few days like this, you had both grown fairly close; maybe closer then you should have been. After all, you lived in two different worlds. You weren't supposed to be more than friends; actually, you shouldn't have even been friends in the first place! Yet it still happened anyway.

You'd felt a sort of connection with him ever since the first time you'd talked, and so had he. At least, you hoped.

He volunteered to guard the cells all the time, conversing with you for hours. He eventually broke your fake demeanor, realizing the real you was far from what he thought. In the end, you did finally escape the HQ, but that's another story; one including a cat, a disguise, and the fact that some people were just dense.

Another fact was that a particular someone had let you escape. But before he did, he had seized your wrist, whispering out a few simple words that made your heart beat a thousand times faster, "Go on a date with me."

You had gaped at him, bug-eyed that he had asked you out, "Is this a joke?"

He half-smiled, removing the mask that concealed his face, "It's not... (Y/N)."

Your lips parted in revelation; this boy was your schoolmate, "J-Jaime?!"

"The one and only.", he said softly. The lights around the room started flashing red, causing you both to flinch.

"Do you know what you're doing right now?", you asked him in bewilderment, slipping your wrist out of his grip to clasp his hand tightly.

The small gesture resulted in a red hue flushing his cheeks, but he remained serious, using his other hand to touch your cheek, causing you to have the same reaction, "Sí. Meet me under the bleachers tomorrow."

A smile pulled at your lips shyly as you nodded, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek, "Don't forget to delete the camera footage."

He chuckled, but that didn't stop the red from expanding all over his face, ears, and neck, "I would never."

You smirked in gaiety, secretly beaming with happiness and exhilaration, "We'll see about that."

You then finally fled, leaving the Young Justice team behind, along with a little secret admirer... who you had a date with!

>>End of Flashback<<

At the moment, you were with your boyfriend; AKA, Jaime Reyes. You were both lying on the sand at the Rhode Island beach near the Young Justice HQ, enjoying the salty ocean air and beautiful beach view.

Jaime had told you that most of the team members had a mission today and the rest of them had their activities to do, leaving him alone. Since he has certain, you couldn't help but trust him, sure that he was telling the truth. But one thing was just bugging you and it wouldn't leave your mind.

Ever since you had officially started dating, you had this small voice inside your head. It was relentless, constantly chewing at your conscience. You always felt small next to him. Your status quo of being a 'villain' made you feel like you weren't good enough for a guy like him. Even though you weren't technically a villain, people just assumed you were the same as any other.

The fact that a 'villain' and a hero were in a relationship seemed too far from reality to be true, which was why you took him to the beach in the first place; to set this all straight.

Jaime seemed to sense your mood souring quickly, prompting him to sit up and take both of your hands, staring deeply into your eyes, "Is something bothering you?"

You finally let a small sigh escape your lips, sitting up and slipping both hands from his grasp, averting your eyes, "Of course not."

He frowned, curling his hands into fists, wondering whether or not to reach for your hand again, "That's obviously a lie and you know it."

Before you knew it, your eyes were prickling with tears. Drawing a deep breath, forcing yourself to face the fretting boy who saw your tears, "Don't you think we've gone too far sometimes?"

"W-What do you mean?", he spluttered, alarmed at the sight of you wiping tears away for he had never seen you cry in front of him before.

"I mean, we shouldn't be together. We shouldn't have been friends in the first place, Jaime.", you said quietly, "I'm not good enough for you; because of my status, we have to hide our relationship from everyone. Do you want to hide for the rest of our lives? This can't go on."

"(Y/N)-"

"No, listen to me.", you insisted, shutting him up immediately, "This has been bothering me since we had our first date. I... I think we need space."

He stared at me in disbelief, "You must be joking."

You bit your bottom lip, not wanting to peer into his eyes, "Our hands are tied, Jaime.", you said weakly, slowly standing to your feet.

"W-Where are you going?", he asked nervously, gazing at you with widened eyes.

"Maybe it's better for us if we end this here.", you spoke solemnly, fisting your shirt while avoiding his searching eyes cowardly.

Jaime was speechless as you briskly turned away, ready to walk away and leave everything behind, "Wait, (Y/N), just hold on for a moment. We can sort this all out.", his pleading voice silently shattering your heart, yet you firmly pushed away your guilt, knowing this would be better for the both of you.

"You wouldn't want me... can't you see that our fate is always pulling us apart?", you said silently, taking a few more deep breaths, "I'm sorry."

Jaime jumped to his feet, seizing your wrist and pulling you back, "You know I want you.", you pulled your hand back, willing yourself not to face him, "It's not a secret I try to hide.", you scoffed; how ironic.

"I know you want me.", he sang softly, spinning you around to face him, seeking your eyes desperately, "So don't keep saying our hands are tied."

You parted your lips to say something but the words died in your throat. Tearing your gaze away from him, you looked down at the suddenly very interesting sand, leading to the boy caressing your cheek, forcing you to look back at him reluctantly, "You claim it's not in the cards and fate is pulling you miles away and out of reach from me."

As if on cue you ducked down, swiftly escaping his hold and attempting to walk away again, only to have the stubborn boy run past you and stop right in front of you, stopping you in your tracks, "But you're here in my heart so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny?"

Reaching for your hand again, he placed it on his chest where his heart was, keeping his hand over yours, "What if we rewrite the stars?"

"Impossible.", you muttered while curling your hand into a fist, struggling to escape from his strong grip, "Say you were made to be mine.", he continued to protest, only tightening his hold, "Nothing could keep us apart."

"Everyone in this world keeps us apart, Jaime.", you argued, but was only ignored, "You'd be the one I was meant to find.", he continued to sing.

"It's up to you, and it's up to me and no one can say what we get to be.", he smiled softly at you with such tenderness that you froze up for a moment, a red hue dusting your cheeks, "So why don't we rewrite the stars?", his voice quieted down to a quiet yet earnest whisper, causing your ears to twitch.

"Maybe the world could be ours...", he wrapped his free arm around your waist, pressing his forehead against yours gently, "...Tonight."

You both stayed silent for a while longer before you used your other hand to wriggle out of his grasp again, stubbornly taking a few steps back with the hand still resting on his chest still clutched tightly in Jaime's, "You think it's easy.", you started to react to his words, "You think I don't want to run to you... but there are mountains and there are doors that we can't walk through."

You looked at Jaime with stern eyes, prompting him to loosen his grip on your hand so that you could slip away from him once again, using your cat-like agility to leap onto the massive rocks that lay behind you, "I know you're wondering why because we're able to be just you and me within these walls.", you sang, crawling along the edge to look down at the worrisome hero, concerned that you might fall from the height, "But when we go outside you're going to wake up and see that it was hopeless after all."

Standing up, you continued to walk with perfect balance, easing the tenseness in Jaime's body but only a bit, "No one can rewrite the stars.", you laughed bitterly, jumping onto another high rock, "How can you say you'll be mine?", you turned your back on him, sure that he wouldn't be able to follow you up here.

A small cough coming from behind you left you appalled. How could you have forgotten his scarab?

"Everything keeps us apart and I'm not the one you were meant to find.", you interrupted quickly when you saw he was about to protest again, turning around and holding a finger to his lips, "It's not up to you, it's not up to me when everyone tells us what we can be."

Springing away onto an even higher rock, you hung on its edge with your cat-like claws, swinging along the edge like it was a pole, "How can we rewrite the stars?", you asked incredulously, "Say that the world can be ours tonight?"

At that moment, your hand slipped ever so slightly, causing you to yelp while creating scratch marks on the hard rock until you fell into a pair of armored arms (pun?), owned by none other than the Blue Beetle himself.

Even though his face was veiled by an armored mask, you could see the euphoria in his eyes when he flew higher into the air, never taking his eyes off you as he carried you bridal-style.

Soon enough you found yourself lost in paradise again, forgetting the harsh reality that you felt kept you both apart. Suddenly none of it mattered.

"All I want is to fly with you.", Jaime sang loudly while you joined in, your two voices joining together to create perfect harmony as you soared through the sky, the wind blowing your hair.

"All I want is to fall with you.", Jaime smiled deviously, letting his wings disappear. You screamed as you plummeted towards the ground, burying your face into his neck.

"So just give me all of you.", you both sang, sounding more like screaming cats in the end.

At the last moment, he spread out his wings once again, barely missing the sandy beach ground when he jetted upwards again, embracing you closely. You let out a breathless sound, hitting his chest even though you knew he wouldn't even feel it, "Don't do that again, you hear me, Jaime Reyes?"

He only smiled; you could see the mischievous yet tender look in his eye, causing your heartbeat to quicken again, remembering the places you stood, "It feels impossible."

"It's not impossible.", he insisted, pressing a small kiss to your forehead.

"Is it impossible?", you both asked, seeming to ask the other the same question.

All your worries washed away in an instant as you felt this overwhelming feeling rush through your body. You wanted to believe him. You did.

"Say that it's possible!", you both cried out in melodious harmony, Jaime moving his hands to your waist and holding you up above him as he spun you around in the sky.

"How do we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine?", you beamed at each other, already knowing the answer, "Nothing can keep us apart, 'cause you are the one I was meant to find."

You giggled, enjoying the feeling of the wind whipping your hair around with tightly closed eyes, feeling yourself drift off to a whole new world (live-action Aladdin reference~). You imagined yourself with Jaime dancing in the air as if you were dancing on the ground. Twirling around, he dipped you, causing you to almost snort.

"'Cause you are the one I was meant to find!"

Jaime let out a chortle at the sight of your face when he dipped you, bringing you back to your feet and caressing your cheek.

"It's up to you and it's up to me. No one can say what we get to be."

You felt the blood rush to your cheeks, snaking your arms around his neck.

"And why don't we rewrite the stars?"

You both shyly beamed at each other, obviously hopelessly in love. Jaime glanced at your lips for a split second, his heart skipping a beat. He slowly leaned forward, as did you. He pressed his lips on yours. The world seemed to stop.

"Changing the world to be ours."

You pulled away, grinning widely. Then you felt a sort of tug on your back, wrenching you backward and into the arms of your mother, her lips curling in a disappointed sneer, eyes gleaming with utter disgust.

You sucked in a breath through clenched teeth, waking up from your daydream, "Jaime, let me down."

"What-"

"Jaime, please.", Jaime saw how grave you were and slowly flew you down, soundlessly letting your feet plant onto the sand without saying anything.

"You know I want you.", you sang gently, resting your forehead on his, "It's not a secret I try to hide."

You saw the hopeful shimmer in his eye and swallowed down your guilt, "But I can't have you.", his eyes clouded over, pursing his lips.

"We're bound to break and my hands are tied.", you finished in a whisper, pushing his arms off you with the last ounce of your strength.

"(Y/N)...", Jaime mumbled, looking at you so desperately that you averted your gaze again, not wanting to give in.

You said nothing and walked away, fisting your shirt. Maybe a small bit of you hoped for him to chase after you.

He didn't.

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

You'd been avoiding Jaime every day at school after the incident, reminding yourself to forget him and move on. You ignored him every time you saw him in the halls, or when you had the same classes together.

At the moment you were at home fighting a combat drone, releasing all your frustrations and anger into your fighting. You slammed the training drone with your leg, ducking just in time to dodge its punch. You tripped the drone with your other foot, causing it to crash onto the ground while you threw another punch, ending the fight with another thwack of your heel. A cloud of grey smoke rose from the drone into the air as you wiped away beads of sweat, breathing heavily.

You heard a piercing cackle penetrate the room, causing you ear to twitch. You turned to see your mother with a smug smirk. Her cat tail swished behind her.

"I have the most wonderful news, kitten.", she purred, elegantly walking past you to rest on her chair, "And I'm so very apologetic that you weren't able to see it."

"Maybe if you had let me out there to fight with you I would've seen it.", you muttered, knowing that she could hear you loud and clear when she promptly ignored you.

"It's a mighty success for our side today.", Catwoman's lips curled into a sneer, "Blue Beetle was battered by his own deflected plasma cannon.", she let out another ear-piercing cackle, "Klarion was smart with this move."

You froze at the sound of Jaime's hero name, "H-How much damage exactly?"

Catwoman examined her claws as she told you the answer without a single bit of guilt, "Very, very much; enough to keep him the hospital for days!", she looked up and frowned, "Kitten, why is your face so pale?"

You swallowed your saliva thickly, "It's nothing, I'm just exhausted from training all day. Excuse me, Mother, while I take a small cat-nap."

Your mother did nothing but wave her hand at you, returning her gaze to her hands, "Go on then."

You slightly bowed, hurrying away to your room. You fumbled around until you found your mask, putting it on quickly as you were already in your suit. You pursed your lips with worry as you unlocked the secret entrance in your room, sneaking along the dark, crowded corridor until you finally saw a bit of light. Creeping towards it, you slowly walked out into a dark alleyway.

You leaped from balcony to window, steadily reaching the top of the building. You let out a shaky breath as you sat down, your feet dangling above the crowded streets of El Paso.

You drew in a deep breath and exhaled; now was not the time to cry, now was not the time to-too late.

A muffled cry left your lips as you clapped your hands around your mouth, closing your eyes while feeling terrified for Jaime. You couldn't stop yourself when tears started to stream down your cheeks.

You knew he wouldn't be able to recover in a normal hospital since he had a blue scarab on his back, or else the doctors and nurses might realize his secret along with his family. He had to be at the Young Justice HQ.

And you had no way of visiting him.

You weren't supposed to feel like this anyway!

You should've been happy about this, like your mother and the rest of the others.

You furiously wiped your tears away, sniffling silently.

"(V/N)-?!"

You whipped your head around, sheathing your claws out, "Who's there?", ignoring the hoarseness of your voice.

The person who had spoken out your name seemed to have taken pity on you, stepping out into a slightly brighter light so you could see them more clearly. The green color took you aback, realizing who she was and how much trouble you were in.

"Wait, (V/N), stay where you are.", Artemis ordered sternly when she saw you were about to jump up and run. You had no idea why, but you saw a glint of understanding in her eye, prompting you to hesitantly sit back down, still tense with caution.

"Um, I-I noticed you were crying.", said Artemis slowly, "And... you don't have to, but... I'd like to know why."

You curled up in a ball, wrapping your arms around your knees and resting your chin on them, looking away from the hero. You stared ahead blankly; the wind gently blowing your hair.

Artemis sat next to you silently, "Is... this about your mother? Catwoman?"

You didn't answer, but your silence spoke enough volume for Artemis to understand, "No... it's not only about her... it's about you too."

You threw her a surprised and almost impressed look which clouded over instantly before averting your gaze once again, "You know... one thing I've noticed is that I've never seen you do evil before.", Artemis said quietly, "And the only times I do, you're not very much into it. But you try to. You really, really try."

You clenched your teeth, "You wouldn't understand.", you finally shot at her.

"Oh, the cat-girl talks.", Artemis shot back but not unkindly, "And you will find that I do understand."

"How so?", you questioned her, glaring at her with doubt.

She smiled, almost bitterly, as she toyed with one of her arrows in one hand, "You must know the famous Sportsmaster and retired villain Huntress, correct?"

You nodded, recognizing the names immediately. She cleared her throat discreetly before continuing, "They so happen to be my... parents."

Your jaw dropped as you gaped at her, "You're joking."

She cocked a brow, "Do I look like I'm joking?"

You shut your mouth, "No, no you don't."

"Look, I'm not exactly proud of my parentage either.", she half-smiled knowingly, "But they still care for me; even though I've chosen a path they aren't very happy with."

You sighed, shaking your head, "I could never... my mother would hate me if I chose to not be her clone."

"Meaning you'd like to take the hero path instead?", Artemis inquired, humor laced in her words.

"Maybe.", you confessed inaudibly, unsure of yourself.

"Believe me; it's the best choice I've ever made.", she said softly, a genuine smile tugging at her lips, "But there's still something else bugging you."

You let a breathless chuckle escape your lips, "How did you know?"

"I've gotten quite good at reading people."

"Please don't tell your team this.", you said quietly, holding out your hand for Artemis to shake. She took it, shaking your hand firmly, "I won't."

And you told her everything; how you had pulled yourself away from Jaime, what your mother had told you; everything you were keeping inside bubbled up and came out like a speeding train.

Artemis remained silent after you finished for a while, finally speaking up after a few seconds, "You must know Cheshire, right?"

You nodded again; she was one of the best trainers you had ever had until she mysteriously disappeared, never to be seen again.

"She's my older sister."

You gaped at her in shock yet again, resulting in a small laugh from Artemis, "I know, I know, unbelievable, I understand."

Artemis paused for another second, "She's married with a child to Red Arrow."

Your lips parted in shock. Red Arrow was a superhero... and he was married to... Cheshire?

"B-But that means-"

"Yes.", Artemis said earnestly, "You don't need to feel like you're not good enough for him just because of your parentage. When you love each other that much, blood relations don't matter. I should know."

"Jaime has been out of it for a while now.", she added, searching her mind for bits of information, "I've been wanting to know why, but now I do."

"It's all my fault.", you whispered, realization crashing down on you, "Maybe if I hadn't been so utterly stupid he wouldn't have been hurt and-"

"Slow down. None of this was your fault.", Artemis reassured you, holding onto your shoulders, "That was all stupid Klarion's fault, ok? Not yours."

You chewed the inside of your cheek, not quite believing her. Artemis sighed, rubbing her neck while seeming to be at war with herself, "I can't believe I'm doing this..."

"Doing what?"

*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*

"I can't believe we're doing this.", you sucked in a nervous breath as you muttered these words to Artemis.

You were both wearing casual wear as Artemis led you through the HQ. You were both making your way to the hospital inside the base(if I'm wrong just pretend there is), trying hard to act natural.

"Artemis... who is this?", Nightwing questioned when you both crossed paths with him by accident. He eyed you suspiciously.

"Trust me on this one. She's a special friend of mine.", Artemis explained in a low voice, not wanting to attract more attention than you wanted.

Nightwing raised his eyebrows but nodded, "Alright. I'll leave you be.", he continued walking in the opposite direction. You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding.

"We're here.", Artemis proclaimed quietly, stopping in front of the entrance. She saw your worried expression and gave you a reassuring look, "It'll be ok. Now go."

She gently pushed you into the room. You threw her a small glare before looking around hesitantly. Your breath caught in your throat when you saw your target.

He was lying on a hospital bed. Beside him was a monitor, showing that his heartbeat was steady and calm to your relief. You quietly walked towards the side of his bed leisurely, gently taking his hand in yours and staring at his sleeping face.

There were quite a few bruises and cuts, all bandaged and almost healed. He looked so at peace in his sleep. You wondered exactly how much damage he had suffered. Your stomach turned with guilt.

"Jaime Reyes.", you let his name slip out your lips in a whisper, kneeling so your face was right next to his, "I'm so sorry. For everything I said to you the other day.", you smiled when you felt his grip around your hand tightened at the sound of your voice.

"And I want you to know that I care about you. A lot. I hope you'll forgive me.", you continued, kissing his hand softly.

"It's not easy.", you sang soothingly, using your free hand to caress Jaime's cheek, "Sometimes I think I should run away."

"Yes, there are mountains and there are doors that we can't walk through."

"But I don't wonder why because I'm able to be just me with you, so I don't care."

"And when we go outside I'm going to stay by your side because I'm in love with you after all."

"I know we can rewrite the stars."

"Changing the world to be ours tonight.", you finished, beaming at Jaime as his eyes fluttered open.

He smiled tiredly, squeezing your hand gently, "Yo sabía que me amabas, (Y/N), I knew you loved me."

You scoffed jokingly, not able to hide your growing grin, "Of course I do, you stupid man."

Out of the momentum of the moment, you leaned down and planted a kiss on his lips. He returned it with the same amount of emotion, not pulling away until you were both out of breath.

Jaime hummed weakly, "That's a nice way to wake up."

The corners of your mouth turned up at his words, running a hand through his hair as he stared at you with so much love in his eyes you felt as if you were going to explode with happiness.

"Let's rewrite the stars."
