THE day was thanksgiving, one of Mia's favorite Holliday's and she was locked in yet another cell.
"Edan, let me go." Mia said before sitting up frustrated.
"I'm tired of being in this stupid cell! It's thanksgiving let me go!" Mia said slamming her fist into the floor.
Edan sighed standing up from his seat to go see her, "No." He replied in a simple tone making Mia groan. "Please!" Mia begged and Edan sighed yet again.
"I can't even if I wanted to. Aurora would kill me." Edan said not wanting to die again making Mia look at him annoyed.
"I'm the original tribrid. I'll protect you!" Mia said trying to convince him.
Edan gave her a look, "I captured you with a dart filled with vervain." He said and Mia simply shook her head.
"You caught me off guard and I can guarantee you it won't happen again." Mia said sure of herself and stood up.
"I thought you would be more...friendly." Edan admitted making Mia frown. "Why would I be friendly?" She asked recalling the numerous times he had tried to ruin her life.
"I'm sorry, for everything." Edan said referring to the events that took place a thousand years ago. "When you left me at the ceremony, I had finally come to the realization that someone like you could never be with someone like me."
"I didn't deserve you." Edan said sitting in front of Mia's cell.
"I watched you all these years, laugh and cry about the silliest things. I had fallen in love with you while watching you. I could have lived a good life with a wonderful woman, but my father and your father ruined the man that could have been." Edan admitted.
"I was cruel to you, and jealous. I am truly sorry Mia." Edan finished making Mia's face softened.
"I forgive you." She whispered, taking them both by surprise.
"Really?" He asked, a small smile creeping into his lips.
Mia nodded, laughing softly. "Yes. I forgive you. I think death is punishment enough."
Edan nodded, smiling. On the other side, that's all he wanted. It was the reason he couldn't find peace. He wanted the forgiveness of the girl he mistreated.
"Thank you." Edan said standing up, and ironing the door to Mia's cell letting her out.
Mia looked at him surprised, "But-"
"I have what I wanted. If she killed me, i would be able to find peace because you forgave me." Edan said making Mia's heart warm.
"She's not going to kill you. I'll protect you." Mia said giving him a smile. "After all, I own them." Mia whispered determined to get the vampire Aurora back.
"Come, I'm inviting you to the thanksgiving dinner I'm hosting. Hopefully it's still happening. When I go missing it tends to foul the mood at the house." Mia confessed grabbing his car keys.
Edan shook his head, "When i said I've been watching you i mean it. You will not drive while I am in the veichle," He said taking the keys away.
Mia laughed at this and seated herself in the passenger seat the two riding back to the compound in silence.
A formal dinner table has been set up in the courtyard, and the bar that Klaus and Elijah destroyed in their last fight has been replaced and filled with fancy decanters full of various forms of alcohol, along with plates of grapes, cheese, and bread as hors d'oerves. Lucien is at the bar, pouring himself a glass of bourbon, when Tristan arrives with a bouquet of flowers in a large pot in his hand.
Lucien gives Tristan a smile, "Flowers? For me? You shouldn't have!"
Tristan rolls his eyes as he lays the pot of flowers on the other end of the bar, and Lucien pops a grape into his mouth before sitting on one of the barstools.
"They're for the lady of the house. The well-mannered bring a gift when invited to dinner. I assume you brought nothing?" Tristian asked not surprised.
Lucien stares at him, "Nothing but my deepest respect for you." He said in a snarky tone.
Just then, Klaus entered the room, having changed into a nice black velvet dinner jacket over his usual dark henley and jeans.
"Lovely. We're all getting along!" Klaus said putting on a fake smile. He was missing Mia, and needed to know of her whereabouts.
"Mmm, like a fuse and a match." Lucien hummed.
"I take it Aurora is on her way?" Klaus asked.
At the sound of her name, Aurora waltzes into the room in a vintage, dark-purple velvet dress with large, puffy sleeves and smiles widely at those in the room.
"I'm sorry I'm late. Just freshening up. I did want to look pretty." Aurora said smiling.
Klaus smiles at her in amusement, though his smile falls when she walks straight toward Lucien, who seems to have been momentarily stricken speechless by the sight of her.
"Well, well. If it isn't my old friend Lucien." Aurora says watching as Lucien recovers from the state of shock.
"Hello, Aurora. It's been ages. You look...pretty." Lucien trailed off still taking in her beauty.
"Not as pretty as me."
Mia walked into the room with Edan by her side. Klaus was visibly shocked with her presence and he immediately forgot about the others presence as he made his way to Mia.
Edna was slightly scared for his life but Mia held a protective arm over him. Klaus clenched his jaw, "What is the meaning of this?" He asked in a hushed tone.
"You remember Edan. Edan this is Nikalus." Mia said deciding to settle scores with Klaus later.
Mia straddled slowly to Aurora, "That dress is horrendous darling." Mia said pouting. "You're way to tiny for it!" Mia teased.
Aurora did her best to contain her anger while she looked at Edan, "You had one task!" She snarled.
Edan smirked, "I don't take orders from mentally disturbed little ladies."
Mia chuckled at this and smiled at Edan. Klaus quickly caught the exchange between the two and clenched his fists.
Elijah walked down the stairs stunned to see Mia and Edan.
"Welcome to our home! I do wish it was under better circumstances. We all face a common threat-- a prophecy warning that my siblings and I would all fall within a year." Elijah pauses dramatically.
"I fear my sister already has. Thankfully Mia has returned to us, and who should I thank for this?" Elijah asked looking around the room.
Edan spoke up, "I let her go."
"His orders were otherwise." Aurora said forcing a smile and grabbing a glass of bourbon.
After a moment of awkward silence, Tristan speaks up,"Only as a precautionary measure, I assure you."
Lucien looks at Tristan in surprise and disapproval, and Elijah, too, does not seem pleased by this information.
"Interesting. You see, I would have called it an entirely unnecessary measure. We need to unite to prevent the prophecy from coming to pass. And, since any alliance is impossible without honesty..."
Elijah and Klaus exchange a quick look before Elijah continues.
"Let us begin this evening's proceedings by formally acknowledging your clandestine alliance." Elijah gestures at Tristan and Lucien, who both look stunned and a little afraid by this admission so early in the evening. However, after a moment, Lucien nervously replies to Elijah's statement.
"Now gentlemen, before-" Lucien tries but Mia chuckled placing her finger on his lips.
"Shh, shh, shh, shh. Lucien, please. Let's not ruin the dinner before it begins."
"And, do try to bear in mind, we expect an honest and productive negotiation this evening!" Klaus said holding a hand out for Mia our of habit, to which she rejected.
"Shall we begin?" Elijah asked and motioned to the table.
Tristan and Lucien both sigh nervously, while Aurora just smiles, visibly amused by the drama of this conversation. Elijah extends his arm toward the table as Aurora, Tristan, and Lucien, followed shortly afterward by Klaus, walk to take their seats. Klaus looks over at Elijah, who nods curtly before joining them all at the table. Mia and Edan take their seats as well.
Klaus and Elijah are sitting at both ends of the table, Mia at the right side of Klaus and Aurora on the left with her brother next to her.
Edan, who was seated next to Mia gave her an awkward smile. Mia gave him a reassuring smile, "If you have go that is fine." Mia whispered, referring to what they were talking about in the car.
Edan nodded, "thank you for this Mia." He said standing up. Everyone did the same and watched as Mia escorted him out.
"Someone is losing their lady friend." Lucien said watching as Edna kissed Mia's cheek before leaving.
"Be quiet one night stand." Mia said walking back to her seat.
"Aurora, how does it feel knowing I had both men?" Mia asked drinking her red while smirking.
Aurora was both jealous and hurt because she genuinely believed Klaus was beginning to feel something for her.
"Mia let's pace ourselves." Elijah mumbled signaling for the waiters to bring the first course.
Klaus observes Mia's every move, "I'm sorry, please excuse Mia and I." Klaus said standing up and grabbing Mia's hand leading her out of earshot.
Mia gave him an innocent smile, "Yes?" She asked.
Klaus sighed, "I am sorry for keeping you locked up."
"Don't worry about it I'm not mad about it. After spending a lot of time in a cell these past few days, i learned that you were doing it to protect me." Mia said in a softer tone.
"As for Edan, he helped me today escape from Aurora. Can we please continue this dinner? I'm in the mood for murder." Mia whispered sounding more like herself.
Klaus smiled, embracing Mia. "I missed you so much." He whispered lifting her chin up with his index finger.
Mia smiled, meeting her lips with his. "I love you." She whispered her kisses trailing down his neck. Klaus sighed pulling away from her.
"Later." He said kissing her one last time before making his way out, holding Mia's hand.
Mia gave Aurora a smug smile, "Mine." Mia mouthed towards her making her clench her jaw.
"Let the dinner begin." Klaus said finally feeling at peace.
It had been hours and they all still sat at the dinner table taking jabs at eachother.
"That is a big diamond on your neck Mia care to tell us the story behind it?"Lucien asked trying to bring Aurora towards his way.
Mia smiled, "Nik gave it to me. It's a promise ring, one day He and I will be married." Mia said with a grin making Klaus smile.
"Our Love is unbreakable." Klaus admitted. Aurora rolled her eyes, "nothing is unbreakable." She insistes making Mia turn to face her.
"I refuse to fight for someone who already belongs to me." Mia said fed up with her.
Elijah sighed, "Girls please." He tried only to be stopped by Klaus.
"Relax Brother, you know how Mia can get." Klaus said defending Mia and reached to hold her hand under the table.
The Thanksgiving dinner at the compound is still underway, and tensions are growing even stronger as Klaus, Mia and Elijah debate with the Trinity.
"With all the nauseating dinner theater we've endured throughout the centuries, these performances are, by far, the worst." Elijah said.
Both Tristan and Aurora roll their eyes and throw their heads back in identical expressions of exasperation before Elijah eventually speaks.
"Aurora, my sister-" Elijah tries only to be cut off by Klaus.
"Aurora is quite aware of our desire to see Rebekah home, and I'm sure she'll do everything in her power to oblige." Klaus said.
Just then, footsteps are heard as Freya walks into the courtyard and makes an appalled face at the sight of her brothers' guests.
"We're welcoming our enemies to the dinner table now? Convenient, given she's the one who has the answers I want." Freya gestures at Aurora, who is so offended by the accusation that she scoffs loudly and rises to her feet.
"Oh, for heaven's sake! Now I have to deal with the long-lost sister?" Aurora turns to Klaus with a stern expression.
Mia gripped her knife, "I'd watch your mouth." She said defending Freya.
"Nik, please spare me your family's rage and paranoia. It is exactly this kind of lunacy which led me to steal Rebekah in the first place."
Freya interrupts, causing Aurora to look back at her.
"What did you do with her?"
Slowly Mia caught on, "you have Rebekah?!"
"Oh, I'm sorry, love, but this prophecy has you all acting as fools. And I've no intention of risking my life to foolishness."
Everyone in the room is staring at Aurora, as none of them know the true reason why Aurora took Rebekah in the first place except for Tristan, who merely looks embarrassed by her behavior.
"Now, I can't trust Rebekah with any of you."
Aurora gives Tristan a pointed look before she continues, "And I certainly can't trust the silly dear to endure on her own, so I decided to put her someplace safe. Imagine a spot where no harm could come to her. Where, in fact, no one could possibly even track her down."
Aurora smiles at the rest of the room as the Mikaelsons all stare at her in bewilderment and horror.
"Yes, rest assured, Rebekah is perfectly fine... at the bottom of the ocean."
Every Mikaelson in the glared her murderously.
Mia had enough and ripped a slit in her dress to provide comfort when she faught Aurora.
After the break, Klaus narrows his eyes in scrutiny as he examines Aurora's poker face.
"You're bluffing." Klaus said as both Tristan and Lucien stood up ready to defend Aurora.
Aurora simply shakes her head as though she's playing dumb, and Klaus becomes even more overwhelmed with anger.
"Tell me you're bluffing!" He Yelled.
Auroa scoffs, "Oh, you should all be thanking me. Rebekah's never been safer! She has plenty of company down there. There's all the little crabs, and octopus, and..."
Aurora makes accompanying hand gestures to communicate the crabs and octopi just as Klaus angrily slams his hands on the table and stands to his feet. Before Klaus can react further, however, Tristan vamp-speeds over to Freya and holds the point of a knife to her throat.
"Harm my sister, and I'll be forced to return the favor." Tristan growled.
Mia ignites Fire in the palm of her hand while showing her hybrid face.
"Touch her and you'll all burn to death." Mia threatened.
Elijah, vamp-speeds over to Tristan and yanks him away from Freya, pinning him face-first against one of the support beams of the balcony. Lucien smirks at this development and awkwardly sips his drink before making his snarky reply.
"Oh, this all escalated very quickly..." he said making Mia turn to face him.
"Shut up." Mia spat feeling a great amount of power coursing through her veins.
"Give us Rebekah!" Mia said standing side by side to Freya who also held her hands out.
Aurora only laughs and that anger Freya.
Freya thrusts her hand in front of her and flicks her wrist, telekinetically snapping Aurora's neck and causing her to collapse onto the floor in a heap. Klaus, both appalled and impressed, shouts at her.
"Freya!"
Mia turns to Lucien and stops to grab a knife on the table throwing it into his heart. Lucien who was in and out of consciousness, was being dragged by Mia towards Klaus and Elijah.
"Torture them." Mia said tossing Lucien on the ground before going to get Aurora.
Freya and Mia has chained Aurora to the wall and waitress imaptiently for her to wake up. After what felt like ages, Aurora opened her eyes.
"Good morning." Mia teased throwing a punch in her direction so hard it causes her to spin a little before she doubles over gasping for air.
Hayley walks into the room shortly, watching Mia take multiple hits just for fun.
"Here to join the fun?" Mia asked a little breathless as she stood up tying her hair into a pony tale. Hayley chuckled looking at her bloody knuckles, "What is family for if not torturing their enemies together?" Hayley asked putting her sleeves up as well.
"Where is Rebekah?" Mia asked sweetly and when Aurora didn't answer hayley hit her.
"I'm going to ask again, where is Rebekah?" Mia asked annoyed grabbing a knife from the table and sliding it softly across her cheeks.
"Fess up before we get bored." Mia warned as Hayley's fist connected with her cheek.
Auroa looks at Haykey, "You're quite strong, for an infant." She taunted causing Hayley to hit her once more.
Mia sighed already bored and undid the chains that were holding her back. Aurora stumbles a little before gaining her balance.
"Fight back." Freya said before thrusting her hand in front of her and casts a powerful pain infliction spell on Aurora, which causes her to scream in pain and clutch her head.
"Ah!" Aurora stumbles all throughout the room holding her head in pain.
Freya clenched her fist to increase the amount of damage. Aurora musters the amount of enegery she has left and speeds to Freya, the two crashing into a wall.
Mia smirked, "Finally."
Mia holds her hand out and motions her to come, wanting nothing more than to give the red head what she deserved.
Aurora lunges forward to Mia who is already ready to fight. The two share multiple hits before Haykey enters giving Mia a chance to cast a spell much stronger than Freya's.
Aurora screams and clutches her head yet again, and Mia stops wanting to see her reaction.
"Woo!" She laughed making Mia cringe. "You really are crazy." Mia said before shrugging her shoulders.
"No worries red, I'll play the same." Mia said, determined not to use magic to fight her as she wanted to enjoy every moment of agony she would inflict on the girl.
After while, Aurora finally said something that caught Mia's attention.
"How about a hybrid bite, to your brother?" Hayley threatened looking at Mia with a smirk. Mia nodded, "Or two." Mia said holding out two fingers in front of the girls face.
"No harm is to come from my brother, ever." Aurora said no longer laughing.
"And why not?" Mia asked crouching down to her level.
"You see, while I did ensure that Rebekah was dropped in the ocean, I don't know precisely where. I had some old friends do it for me... and then I killed them."
Mia looked at Freya, having a feeling she already knew what Aurora had planned.
"Tristan has the longitude, and I has the latitude." Aurora said with a smug smile angering Mia.
Mia yelled in frustration and clenched her fist towards Aurora making her eyes and ears bleed before snapping her neck.
Everyone was gathered at the dinner table, their clothes messed up from the fights. The only ones unharmed were the Mikaelson women.
Klaus pulled out Mia's chair and pushed it in once she was in. Aurora looked away, her feelings obviously hurt. She had the upper hand, with Rebekah but with Klaus she would never.
"Longitude and latitude how lovely." Lucien said annoyed with everyone in the room.
"Well despite our differences, we did come to an understanding." Tristan said obviously not educated enough to know that the Mikaelsons always had a plan.
The four Mikaelsons at the table shared a displeased look, Klaus, Elijah, Freya and Mia.
Aurora lifted her glass to tap it against Tristan feeling as they had succeeded.
"Tristan, Aurora, I cant murder you but I could easily rip your eyes out of their sockets and feed them to your sister." Elijah coldly.
Klaus squeezed Mia's hand under the table, and for a second she didn't know why until he spoke up.
"Elijah! These are our guests!" Klaus said jumping in to mediate the conversation.
Aurora looks at Mia smugly, "Nik, how kind of you to defend us."
"You know, your little toy has a temper issue. Maybe you can tell her to play nice." Aurora said referring to the blood stained eyes and ears.
Mia rolled her eyes, "I hardly touched you."
"You know, I doubted my brother's wisdom in bringing us all together today, but he was right." Aurora, amused, stares at him with an affectionate smile, and Tristan, believing that Klaus will be taking his side, looks pleased.
Mia on the other hand held her laugh in.
"We must confront the harsh realities we all face and make difficult choices to ensure our collective survival."
"Now that we are on the topic of our survival, your little toy has some temper issues. Tell her to play nice." Aurora said whirl motioning to her blood stained eyes, ears and dress.
Mia sighed and rolled her eyes, "I hardly touched you."
Klaus lifts his glass in toast, and Tristan and Aurora both echo the gesture happily. However, Freya, Lucien, and Elijah all look irritated and annoyed by where Klaus seems to be going with his speech, and only raise their glasses out of politeness and the fact that they're too tired to argue with him.
Klaus looks at Mia and raises his glass in her direction to which she kindly returns the offer. Before sitting down, Klaus takes a drink, sitting down his glass and walking over toward Elijah, who refused to toast to Klaus' speech.
"And I have every confidence that my choice... will be the right one. As for Mia I will speak with her."Klaus said looking at Mia.
Mia looked at Freya sending a little spell in her direction. Freya felt someone nudge her leg and looked at Mia.
Mia gave a look that said, be ready.
Klaus, who is now standing next to Elijah, smiles at Tristan for a moment. Tristan is so distracted by the fact that he believes Klaus to be on his side that he is unable to react when Klaus vamp-speeds toward him and grabs him by the chin before snapping his neck. Aurora, appalled by Klaus' actions, stands to her feet with a gasp and glares at him, clearly feeling furious and betrayed. However Klaus just scowls at her in response.
"If you do not bring my sister home, Tristan will die slowly, and in tremendous pain."Aurora glares at him mutinously.
"You betray me after all your promises of love?"
Mia rolled her eyes, "he doesn't love you sweetheart." She stood up and made her way next to Klaus, the others at the table feeling the power the two radiated when they worked together.
"Now I have your brother-- a sibling for a sibling. I want Rebekah back."
Aurora sneers back at him and leans closer to his face to whisper in his ear.
"You will regret this." She whispered before turning away and shoving the table as she made her wya down.
The table is now a mess and covered in spilled food, wine, and flowers from the flower pots that were knocked over by Aurora's tantrum. Freya looks at Klaus and Mia with incredulous anger
"After everything today, you just let her go?" Freya asked annoyed.
Elijah nodded, "Aurora should be easy enough to control. We have Tristan now."
Klaus turns to Lucien, who looks understandably terrified by this turn of events.
"Lucien, you will take me to Camille, and you will surrender the medallion, or you will meet an end so cruel, the devil will weep." Klaus said before holding his hand out for Mia to accompany him.
"My Love." He said and Mia Mia accepted his hand.
"Lucien lead the way." Mia said and walked with Klaus out the compound linking their arms.
"Do you feel that?" Hayley said walking downstairs while holding hope.
"Feel what?" Freya asked.
"The power radiating off of them." Hayley replied making Elijah laugh. "Oh dear." He mumbled turning around and going to his room.
Freya chuckled, obviously needing the humor and told Hayley goodnight before kissing Hope's forehead.
