(Chae pov / Strong language / Mature content)
Chaeyoung woke up and noticed she had moved away from Lisa last night. She must be pretty mad if she moved away subconsciously.
Lisa hummed and put an arm out, Chaeyoung watched as Lisa felt the bed. Her eyes were still closed and it was apparent she was still half asleep... yet, Lis was still feeling for her.
When Lisa found her waist, the Thai moved across the bed and snuggled beside her. Chaeyoung looking down at her with a soft smile, before realizing she shouldn't be happy seeing how cute Lisa was.
Because a liar isn't cute.
Chaeyoung slowly crawled out of bed, Lisa making a face feeling her presence disappearing. But Roseanne didn't care, she couldn't.
As she stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror, setting down her toothbrush, she clenched the sides of the counter.
Lisa had to see him? Had to talk to him? Give him her number? And for what? Wanting to see who he was and how he was connected to her?
Fucking Favors.
"Mhm yes... ah... right there baby." Favors groaned.
Chaeyoung just kept working on him until he'd finish. Then she'd get her pills and go, forgetting about the whole thing.
Like always.
"Deeper Chaeyoung... come on babe de- oh fuck."
His airy words let Chaeyoung know two things. One, he was close, meaning she was close to being done. And two, that she was doing a good job, also meaning she was close to being done.
Favors soon was groaning between heavy breaths as he gripped Chaeyoung's hair, yanking on it. She winced but ended up just sucking him harder.
Just make this end already.
"Fuck..." He moaned as he released into Chaeyoung's mouth. It took her a second to get it down, but she did.
"You did so well baby." Favors grinned as he got himself together. "You've really became quite the catch."
Chaeyoung just rolled her eyes and stuck out her hand after wiping away anything that could have been left on her of his.
"Your payment, of course." He smirked. "Here, you'll see everything's there."
Favors placed the bag in her hands, she went through it and nodded before turning to walk away.
"You know, our relationship has become pretty special to me over this last year and a half. Maybe we can get to know each other a bit more?" He spoke, putting an arm around her.
"No thanks." Chaeyoung huffed, shaking his arm off her.
"No thanks? Sweetie we could be a real power couple on the streets. I'd even give you more shit." He smiled.
"In r-return for what?"
"Quit that stuttering, unless you still have some of my unborn kids in your throat." Favors smirked. "And if we're together, obviously we'd have to take the next step."
Chaeyoung stopped and looked at him. "Which is?"
"Well..." He started, stepping closer to her. "It would involve me and that body of yours."
"No."
"No? How can you say no? How about I say no to your precious drugs? Would you like that baby?"
"How about, I s-say no to sucking you o-off." Chaeyoung spoke, turning around and flipping him off.
"That would be much more intimidating if you weren't such a fucking speech impediment ass." Favors spoke after her. "I'll see you next week Chaeyoung."
"Chaeyoung?"
Roseanne jolted and looked to Lisa who was standing in the doorway. Chaeyoung released her hands that hurt and looked down.
"Baby? Are you okay?" Lisa moved to touch her but Chaeyoung stepped back. Away from her.
"I need my meds." She whispered before walking past Lisa and down the stairs, into the kitchen.
Chaeyoung immediately walked over to the sink and held her stomach. The feeling like she was going to throw up coming, but she didn't.
She opened the drawer and took out her pills and syringe.
Roseanne got her pills down fine, but her hands were shaking a bit and she was nervous to try and get the needle in herself.
"Here, let me." Lisa whispered from behind her. How long was she standing there?
"T-Thanks." Chaeyoung spoke as Lisa gave her the injection and withdrew the needle.
"Did you have a flashback?" Lisa asked her as she put everything away.
"Yes."
"Do you want to tell me what it was about?"
"No."
"Oh..." Lisa spoke. "Okay."
Chaeyoung went to leave the kitchen but Lisa put her arms around her waist and hugged her from behind. "I'm sorry Rosie." Lisa whispered. "It will be okay."
Let go of me Lisa. Please.
Lisa's breath hit Roseanne's neck as the Thai tightened her hold. "I love you."
Water immediately swelled up in Chaeyoung's eyes. It was so hard to be pissed off at someone you love.
Her heart was filled with anger, love, and sadness. All at the same time.
"I-" Chaeyoung swallowed thickly. "L-Love you too."
She then slowly got out of Lisa's embrace, and got herself ready for school.
As Lisa and her drove to school, Lisa was obviously a bit worried for her. Because of her memory.
But completely oblivious to the fact that Chaeyoung was worried about her even more. And pissed, that Lisa was keeping things from her, on purpose.
Maybe Roseanne was wrong? Maybe the person texting Lisa wasn't Favors? But who else would it be then? And why would Lisa be untruthful about it?
No one. It would be no one else. It was Favors, it had to be.
Because Lisa beat him up, and he was pissed.
"Lisa?"
"Hm?" Lisa hummed, glancing over to her then back to the road. "Yes babe?"
"Would you ever lie to me?"
Lisa stayed quiet for a second, her brows moving a bit. "Is this because of your memory?" Lisa spoke.
"Nevermind." She said quickly. "I'd never lie to you Chaeyoung. I tell you everything. Whatever goes on throughout my day, whatever happens, I let you know. I want you to know."
You're such a good liar Lisa. You should do it for a living.
"Chaeyoung? Baby what's wrong? You can tell me."
"It's nothing. Thanks. I... I needed to hear that."
Lisa gave her a small smile and continued paying attention to the road.
Chaeyoung on the other hand, was feeling a cloud of anger and disappointment take over her. The love she had for Lisa still there, but it wasn't the same.
As of right now, Chaeyoung felt like her love for Lisa was being suppressed by a lie.
(Lisa pov)
Something was seriously off with Rosie. Her flashback must not have been a good one. And hopefully that was the only thing bringing her down.
Because Chaeyoung just questioned her about being truthful, and for a second, Lisa was afraid she knew about Favors messaging her these past couple of weeks.
And Lisa letting him.
When she parked in a spot, she immediately turned and leaned up to Roseanne. "Baby, you can tell me anything." She whispered, reaching up and cupping Chaeyoung's cheek. Rubbing it with her thumb.
"I... I know."
"Rosie... you're my everything. All that I do is for you. To make you happy, or keep you safe."
"Maybe that's the issue..." Chaeyoung whispered.
"What? Chae..."
Roseanne went to move but Lisa immediately reacted, leaning in and pressing her lips to Chaeyoung's.
At first, she didn't kiss back. But Lisa soon felt Chaeyoung giving in... and kissing her back.
They made out slowly in the car. Lisa not wanting to stop as she felt the pain in her heart sting. Worried about Chaeyoung.
Lisa kept kissing her until she felt the wetness on Chaeyoung's cheeks. She parted and looked at her. "Chae? Baby?"
"If something's b-bothering you because you w-want to keep me safe, then block it." She spoke, before turning and opening the door. Leaving Lisa's car and walking towards the building.
If something's bothering me, block it?
She couldn't be referring to... the texts... could she? No, Chaeyoung didn't know. It was just coincidental word play.
Lisa then quickly exited her car and caught up with Chaeyoung, who was drying her slight tears as she walked.
"You know I'm always here for you." Lisa spoke as she intertwined their fingers.
"I know."
"I just love you. Sometimes I may not be perfect, but trust me when I say that. I will be there for you through everything, and I love you with all my heart."
Chaeyoung stopped walking, making Lisa stop too. Lisa looked at her and saw the tears in her eyes reappearing.
She quickly reached her hand up and brushed them away. Not wanting Chaeyoung to be upset and stared at during school. Not anymore then she already is being.
"Okay?" Lisa asked her, smiling softly.
"I... hate how much you m-make me love you sometimes."
Lisa was taken back a bit, questioning the meaning behind Chaeyoung's words. But a pair of soft lips soon landed on hers, making Lisa smile.
Even though it was just a peck, it let Lisa know that Chaeyoung would be okay.
As Lisa followed Rosie to their class, hands still intertwined, she noticed the people looking at them in the hall.
"That's my girlfriend." Lisa smiled and pointed to Rosie. She felt an elbow swing back and into her stomach but it didn't wipe the smile off of Lisa's face.
Roseanne and Lisa sat down in their usual seats, Lisa noticing right off the bat that Chae was paying more attention to their teacher and their work then before.
She smiled, hoping it was because Rosie wanted to get an good grade and not to keep her mind off something. Whatever that something was.
Lisa's next couple classes went by per usual. Except for the fact she would think about Chaeyoung a couple times and worry about her.
Her phone did go off once. Lisa looking at it and noticing the unknown number that sent her a message.
She ignored it, not even reading it.
Favors was becoming more and more desperate.
When it was finally lunch, Lisa sat down and watched Jisoo come from the lunch line.
"Hey Chu."
"Oh, hey Lisa." Jisoo spoke, sitting down.
"Where's Jennie?" She asked, noticing Jennie wasn't there when she usually arrived at the same time as Jisoo.
"She... didn't come to school today." Jisoo said quietly. Taking a bite of her rice.
"S-She didn't?" Chaeyoung questioned as she sat down next to Lisa.
Lisa placing a kiss on her cheek before returning her attention to Jisoo. "Did she say why?"
"Chaeyoung told you right?" Jisoo asked, sounding a bit down.
"About?"
"About my feelings?... It's alright if she did."
Lisa nodded her head and reached a hand out, covering Jisoo's with hers. "What happened Chu? Did... you tell her?"
"Yeah..."
"And?" Chaeyoung whispered. "Does she f-feel the same?"
"I... don't know." Jisoo sighed, removing her hand from under Lisa's and running it through her hair. "I told her I like her. Then again after she didn't understand my reference..."
"Then?" Lisa spoke softly.
"Then she apologized... and... left."
"She left?"
"Yeah... she didn't even finish my chicken." Jisoo laughed lightly. "I don't think she likes me back like that. She probably really is straight..." Jisoo sighed.
"D-Dont say that Jisoo." Chaeyoung spoke.
"I'm okay guys... really. I knew it could go one way or another. It's fine. I'll talk to her and I'm sure we'll stay friends. She just needs time.... right?"
Chaeyoung and Lisa both glanced at each other, before smiling lightly and nodding.
"I'm sure that's all she needs." Lisa assured her. "And I'm sure she likes you back."
"Let's talk about something else." Jisoo spoke. "Like why BamBams friends all seem to be staring at us? Or more importantly, Chaeyoung?"
"Say what now?" Lisa fired, ripping her head over to their table and watching every head turn away from them. Besides Bams.
"I'll be right back." Lisa spoke, pecking Chaeyoung then walking straight over. "Hello boys." She grinned.
"Oh hey Lisa."
"Hi Lis."
"What's up Lisa?"
Lisa eyed all the other boys who didn't greet her, then rested her eyes on BamBam. "Hey stupid." She spoke in Thai. "Tell your friends to stop eyeballing my girl. Or I'll rip their eyes out."
"Of course Pokpak." Bam laughed. "I'll tell them."
"Isn't Chaeyoung pretty?" Lisa questioned them all in Korean. "I feel pretty lucky having her by my side. I'm glad I was able to see her for her and not for her past." She sighed, eyeing them.
(Chae pov)
"Lisa's probably telling them to stop looking at you." Jisoo smiled.
Chaeyoung looked from Lisa back to Jisoo and smiled softly. A bit more sadly than anything else. "Yeah, probably."
"That's really cute. Her getting upset with them and all."
"I guess." Chaeyoung shrugged.
"You okay Chae?"
"Has anyone ever l-lied to you? Directly to your face?"
"Countless times... but Chae? What did Lisa do?"
Roseanne sighed and took in a deep breath. "She keeps getti-"
Chaeyoung was interrupted by the sound of a phone. But not just any phone. Lisa's. She looked to her left and noticed it sitting face down on the table.
She reached for it, bringing it to her face and immediately feeling the anger wash over her.

Blondie... I'm lonely... won't you respond to me? Give me your address? So I can come over and fuck that pretty little cunt of yours. Chaeyoung can join ;)
"Chae?" Jisoo questioned her after Chaeyoung put Lisa's phone down and slid it over to its original position. Anger present on her face.
"Chaeyoung. Whatever Lisa's hiding, I'm sure she has her reasons. Even if it's stupid ones."
"The only stupid thing is that I still love her."
Jisoos eyes widened a bit. She was about to say something when Lisa suddenly sat back down at the table.
"Sorry, I just had to go say hi." Lisa spoke, sitting down and looking at them. "Babe?" She questioned after noticing her face.
"You got a text." Chaeyoung spoke through gritted teeth. She could see Lisa's eyes widen a little before she returned them to their original position.
"Oh, I've been getting a bit of those recently haven't I?"
"Lis?" Jisoo questioned. Lisa glancing to Chu with a confused face before looking back at her.
"Who texted you?" She whispered.
"Let me check." Lisa said, flipping her phone over and looking at it. "Oh, um..."
"Yeah... um..."
Lisa suddenly put her hands up. "It's nothing to worry about Chae. I promise."
"Yeah... sure." She scoffed.
"D-Do you not believe me?"
"No."
Chaeyoung felt Lisa's arms around her. She just sat there in it. Lisa tightening her hold, still not telling Roseanne what she wanted to hear.
Which was the truth.
"I love you. Whatever you're thinking, just know that I love you. Only you."
"So you're not going to tell me who messaged you?" Chaeyoung chuckled lightly. "Of course not right? Why do I deserve to know?"
Roseanne pulled Lisa's arms off her and stood up, walking away. "See you in fifth."
"Lisa. What the hell are you doing?" Jisoo huffed from behind her. Chaeyoung could hear Lisa beginning her speech but she exited the lunchroom in time to not have to hear it.
She walked outside to the track, sitting down. Looking out over the students who were spending their lunch outside as well.
"Penny for your thoughts?"
Chaeyoung turned and looked at... her gym teacher?Who was taking a seat beside her?
"You look a little down." He spoke gently.
"I am."
"How come?"
"Lisa."
"Is she okay?"
"Yeah."
"So it's something she did?" He chuckled lightly. "She seems to be the type to do something."
Chaeyoung smiled sadly. "She is."
"What's it this time?"
There was a silence between them. Chaeyoung just sitting there and watching her feet. "Why are you out here? And n-not in the gym?"
"Oh, well as a gym teacher, I like to stretch my legs a lot." He smiled. "But you're just trying to change the conversation right?"
"Yeah."
"Is there anything I can do to help?"
"C-Can you... keep her away from me? In gym?"
He gave her an apologetic smile and shook his head. "No Chaeyoung. Whatever happened between you two needs to be addressed."
"Addressed..." Chaeyoung sighed, looking down.
She had an idea, a bad one. But if this did need to be addressed, then Lisa wasn't the one who needed addressing.
"Chaeyoung? Can I trust you two to work this out?"
She looked back up to him and nodded. "Lisa... she's j-just... being untruthful with me. She doesn't know that I know."
He sat there quietly listening to her, nodding his head so she knew to continue.
"I have given her several chances to tell me the truth... b-but she just wont."
"Do you have any ideas why she wouldn't?"
"Because she loves me... and doesn't want me to get hurt. Or feel bad."
"So she's not telling you because she thinks she's protecting you? I can see why you're upset but I can also see why Lisa would be thinking she's doing the right thing... don't you?"
"I... I do. B-But it still doesn't make me feel any better."
"I know Chaeyoung, and I'm not saying it's supposed to. Why don't you tell her that you know? Instead of waiting for her?"
"Guess I wanted to see if she'd tell me?" She shrugged. "But... she probably won't."
"Can I give you a hug?" He asked. Chaeyoung looked down, but she ended up nodding. Her teacher soon wrapped her in a brief hug. "It will be alright. Just talk okay?" He let her go and smiled.
"The bells going to ring soon. I'll see you in class." He stood up and made his way towards the gymnasium while Chaeyoung took a deep breath.
She stood up herself and turned around to head inside, only to see Lisa standing there with red eyes.
"I-I was looking for you." Lisa spoke, walking up to her.
"The bells going to ring."
"I know." Lisa whispered as she wrapped her arms around her. Chaeyoung sighed and put her head on Lisa's shoulder. "I'm sorry."
"For?"
"For k-keeping things from you."
"What things Lisa? Be specific."
"I..." Lisa pulled her head out of Chaeyoung's neck. Stepping back. "I don't know... what you know..."
"I think you know damn well what I know but don't have the guts to tell me."
The bell rang and students began finding their way to fourth period as Chaeyoung sighed. "What do you want me to do Lisa? Accept your apology when all you're going to do is continue hiding shit from me?"
"Chaeyoung I-"
"I need space. Go to fourth." She whispered, walking past Lisa and into the building.
It would be so easy to be fine, but instead, Lisa seemingly can't come clean. All she needed to do was apologize. But no.
Instead, Lisa keeps on withholding the truth.

(Lisa pov)
As Lisa walked into her fourth period class, she couldn't help but think one thing.
Chae knows.
"But what if Rosie doesn't? And she's just playing smart to get me to spill everything?" Lisa whispered to herself as a body sat down beside her.
"Who you talking to?" Wendy questioned. "Beginning your inner monologue?" She joked.
"Yeah, something like that."
"Hey? You okay?"
"Mhm. Just thinking."
"About?"
"Just how stupid I am."
"Lisa, don't say that." Wendy pouted. "You're not stupid."
"I'm being stupid right now. But I have a good reason to be... at least, I thought so. I'm not sure anymore."
"I'm guessing there's something more to this whole 'stupid' thing right?"
"Yeah." Lisa sighed. "But it's alright. I'll make it up to her."
"To her? To Chae?"
Lisa nodded and turned her attention to their teacher. She wanted to focus on the class, and not on what she could have done to their relationship.
She just needed to wait, see what Favors does. Because yeah, it would be so easy for Lisa to block him. But if she did that, she wouldn't know what he was thinking... or what he'd do next.
No, she had to keep reading. See what was going through his mind. Just to be sure.
To protect her.

Once fourth ended, Lisa traveled a bit slower to gym. Entering the locker room and changing at what felt like a snails pace compared to how quickly she usually would.
But as Lisa finished up, she noticed Chaeyoung hadn't entered yet. She found it odd, locking her locker and sitting down, waiting.
And waiting.
Until she was the last one in the locker room...
Chaeyoung didn't come.
"What did I do?" Lisa sighed audibly. Putting her head in her hands and breathing out deeply. "You're so stupid."
Lisa wasn't in a rush to go downstairs and into the gym, so instead, she just sat there. Staring at the lockers.
At some point the door was opened. It shutting and the sound of feet shuffling coming closer. Until the sound stopped right beside her.
She didn't look from her gaze on the lockers. Lisa really didn't care.
"Lis?"
Her voice.
Lisa turned and smiled toothlessly at the site of Roseanne. Already changed into her gym clothes.
"Staring at the lockers more important than class?"
"I... I was waiting for you." She spoke quietly, standing up and staring at Chae instead. "You must have beat me today."
"Yeah... I got here early."
"Oh." Lisa looked down, studying her gym shoes in the awkwardness. "Guess you remembered your lock code, since I usually open it for you."
"I would watch you. So yeah, I remembered."
Lisa looked back up and saw Chaeyoung staring at her. "Chaeyoung I-"
"Let's go." She spoke, turning around and making her way out of the locker room. "I was sent up just to find you anyways."
Oh. Their teacher asked Chaeyoung to look for her? Of course. Because why would Rosie? When she was obviously being distant.

(Chae pov)
As soon as she stepped back into the gym, their teacher immediately walked up to her and sighed.
"Chaeyoung? I thought you'd be gone longer?" He whispered. "You know, so you guys could talk after finding her?"
"We did."
"Yeah right, all you did was tell her to come to class. Right?"
Chaeyoung shrugged.
"I won't keep you two apart. If anything, I'll make you go walk the track together... alone..." He spoke. "Talk it out Chae."
"No."
"Excuse me?"
"Sorry." Chaeyoung whispered. Immediately realizing she was talking to her teacher and not a friend. Even though he kind of felt like one.
"It's okay."
"I just c-can't. Not yet. There's something I have to do first."
"Okay. But you are walking the track together anyways."
"W-Wait I-"
"Lisa." He spoke. Lisa walking over from where she was standing.
"Yes?"
"Take your girlfriend out to the track. I want six laps at least. So speed walking. Got it?" He smiled.
"Got it."
"Good. Have a nice time girls. Talk to one another."
Chaeyoung looked to Lisa and sighed quietly, just turning and walking out towards the track with Lisa walking behind her.
She felt soft fingers brush against her own. Lisa soon intertwining them and walking closer to her.
Roseanne wanted to release Lisa's hand, out of the disappointment she housed in her, but she couldn't.
When you love someone so much, that even though they make you upset or mad, you still can't let them go. You can't hate them.
"Chaeyoung?" Lisa whispered.
She sighed and looked down. Lisa's voice was so soft. Fragile. "I don't want to talk Lisa."
"I... I know. But can I just say something?"
"Whatever." She shrugged.
"I'm not sure what happened this morning..." Lisa explained. "I just... I know you had a flashback. And I'm sorry. You shouldn't have, it's my fault. I've been making the medicine work out faster. I'll stop."
Chaeyoung looked up to Lisa and shook her head lightly. "That's... not it."
"Then... it's something you saw? Right?"
She didn't answer. Lisa should know. In fact, Roseanne feels like Lisa does. Saying shit like that.
"I'm sorry."
Those were the last words Lisa said to her the whole class. And Chaeyoung in return, didn't say anything more to her.
They just walked. Slowly around the track, fingers lightly laced, eyes on everything but each other, until five minutes before the bell.
Chaeyoung did end up looking at Lisa after they changed. Both girls making eye contact and staring for a second as she shut her locker.
"See you at the car." She whispered to Lis as she walked by and out the door to her sixth.

Once the final bell rang, bringing Chaeyoung from her boring study, she walked out to the parking lot and waited by Lisa's car.
The Thai appeared and walked towards her, quietly. Lisa, of course, unlocked the car and opened the door for her.
Chaeyoung thanked her and got in as Lisa walked around to her side and started the engine.
"So... um... how was sixth?" Lisa questioned her, a bit reserved.
"Fine. I studied."
"Yeah, that's what I did in mine."
"Will they really hold me back if I fail the final tests?" Chaeyoung asked her quietly.
"I hope not, but, that's how it's been for low scoring students in the past. But you passed your first and second years though? So I'm sure you'll be fine."
"I paid more attention then." She sighed.
"Still. You're still smart. You'll be fine."
"Whatever you say... lair." She whispered the last word too quietly for Lisa to hear. But she still said it.
Slight anger coming over her again as she remembered Favors text.
But she calmed herself and breathed. Looking out the window for the remainder of the drive.
After arriving back at the house, Chaeyoung joined Ami immediately on the couch, snuggling up to her mother in law to be.
She wanted to distance herself a bit from Lisa still. And since her girlfriend had dance, it was only until six pm she'd have to cling to Ami.
But clinging to Ami wasn't a bad thing.
"I've missed you mom." She smiled as she looked up to Lisa's mom.
"Awe, I've missed you too sweetie." Ami smiled and kissed her forehead.
Roseanne closed her eyes and felt the woman's chest as it rose and fell until all thoughts in her mind began fading and sleep took her.

When she opened her eyes again, she was still cuddled into Ami, a new show on the tv that she was enjoying.
Yet, Chaeyoung felt someone else next to her.
She looked over and saw Lisa seated beside her. Headphones in her ears and a study guide in her lap.
Roseanne leaned over and took a headphone out of her ear and put in her own. Listening to the music and closing her eyes.
She must have been tired from being upset all day.
"Do you want something to eat?"
"Hm?"
"I said do you want something to eat?" Lisa spoke, a little louder from her original whisper. "You fell asleep not long after we got back."
"Sure."
"Anything in particular?"
"Surprise me."
"Oh... okay. Be right back." Lisa leaned over and pecked her lips before getting up and walking into the kitchen.
Roseanne licked her lip a bit, Lisa's taste still present on them. She missed being invested into her, but Chaeyoung couldn't be right now.
Instead, she had to prepare herself for the night ahead of her.
One, she knew Lisa... would hate.
