*Juliet's pov*
Today was the day Ashley was going to leave to go to California.
I would've gone with her, but she said not to, because I have a life here.
Once again, I'm going to be lonely in this apartment.
I rolled out of bed and went to the kitchen, Ashley was already there, eating food.
"Ash, maybe we should do something today. Just the two of us?" I said.
"Yeah, I'd like that." She smiled.
"What would you like to do?" I asked.
"I've always wanted to just walk around in the city." She shrugged.
"Sure, let's do it." I said.
"Could we invite Nash and Hayes too? It's just that, I won't see Nash for a while and I want to spend this day with him too." She said, and I nodded.
I completely understood, it was just like when Hayes leaves and we always go on a date.
We both went to our rooms and got ready. I had to text Hayes as Ashley texted Nash.
Me: hey, do you want to do something today?
Hayes: of course babe! Anything in mind?
Me: we're hanging out with Ashley and Nash because it's Ashley's last day here.
Hayes: I got it. I'll be right over! <3
I decided to take a shower, blow dry my hair, and put it in a side braid.
I put on my usual makeup, and got dressed.
After minutes of contemplating on which outfit I should wear, I decided with a sweater, jeans, and combat boots.
I walked out and went to the kitchen to grab an apple.
Matt came out of his apartment.
"Where are you going?" Matt asked as he sat on my counter.
"I'm just hanging out with the guys." I said.
"And I'm not invited?" Matt said, pretending to be hurt.
"Matt, of course you can come. It's Nash, Ashley, Hayes and I that's hanging out. You could bring Lesley if you want to." I said.
"Okay!" Matt said excitedly as he dialed Lesley's number.
They were instantly lost in their conversation.
Ashley came out with curled hair, and an amazing outfit.
"The guys should be here soon." She said as she fixed her outfit.
"Ashley, you look fine." I said.
"I'm just worried." She said.
"About..?"
"Going back to California." She said.
"You'll be fine. You're ranked twenty in a class of two-hundred, right?" I asked.
"That's not the thing I'm worried about." She said.
"Is it Josh? Because if it is you have an amazing boyfriend here that is better than him." I said, Ashley laughed.
"Josh is known for getting all the girls. I don't think he'd like me anyways." She said.
"Stop talking about him! Nash is amazing and you should be happy." I said.
"You're obviously right. I guess I'm worried for nothing." She said.
"Oh, Matt and Lesley are coming with us, if you don't mind." I said.
"I don't care if they come. The more the merrier." She smiled.
That was when the guys knocked on the door.
"Hey. Come in!" I said as they walked in.
"We're just waiting for Matt." Ashley said.
"Okay, cool." Nash said as Matt came out with Lesley.
"What are we even going to do?" I asked.
"We could go bowling?" Hayes said and everyone agreed.
We walked into the subway and went to the city.
We walked into the bowling place and we rented our shoes.
We walked to our lane and put our names into the score board.
I was first, I grabbed the lightest weight bowling ball and rolled it at the pins.
Two pins were left.
I sighed and grabbed the bowling ball.
I threw it at the pins and I got a spare.
This is the most boring this ever, maybe it's because I suck at bowling.
I didn't do anything for the rest of the game.
"Let's do something fun, please?" I said.
Hayes went over to me and put his arm around me.
"We have to wait until the game is over." He said.
"This isn't fun, though." I said.
"It's almost over, then we can do anything you want to." He smiled.
It was my turn again, and I got up and grabbed the bowling ball.
I threw it at the pins and I got a strike.
"Holy fuck." I mumbled.
After that, I got two strikes in a row.
"Wow, Juliet. You were lying when you said you were a bad player." Matt said and I laughed.
Matt ended up winning the whole entire thing.
"You guys are my bitches." Matt said. I rolled my eyes.
"Bow down, peasants." Matt said.
"You know what, Matt? I have the perfect next challenge." I said.
"Are you ready to lose?" He smirked.
"Laser tag." I smiled.
"Ha! You're definitely going to lose." He said.
"It's a challenge." I said as we got our things and went to the closest laser tag arena.
"Let's split into teams." I said as we all paid for our tickets.
Nash and Lesley were on my team, and Hayes and Ashley were on the other.
We put our names in a computer to keep track of our scores.
We put on our vests, grabbed our laser gun, and walked into the arena. No one else was here. I guess we were the only people playing today.
It was like a maze, there were walls you can hide behind and little squares that you can duck under.
"Get into your positions." A voice on the loudspeaker said.
We all went our separate ways and I hid behind a wall.
"Ready, set go! You have five minutes, good luck." The same voice said.
I looked around and saw no one coming my way.
I walked slowly out of my hiding spot and hid behind another wall.
I peaked my head out of the wall and I saw Ashley. I pointed my gun at her and her vest started beeping.
"You loose." I laughed and ran away.
I saw her groan and put down her gun, and I ran around the corner and ducked under a square.
"Juliet..." I heard Matt yell.
He's after me.
"Come out wherever you are.." He said.
I giggled and did a somersault to the wall next to my hiding spot.
This was some real ninja shit.
Someone jumped out from next to me and I screamed as I pointed my gun at them to shoot the person.
It was Hayes, and he was pouting.
I pecked his lips.
"Sorry babe." I smiled and walked to another hiding spot.
I did a run to the other side of the room.
I saw Matt hiding behind a wall and I smiled.
I ran to the other side of the wall he's hiding and pointed my gun at him, but I didn't shoot.
"Juliet, you're going to loose." He smirked.
"Nice try." I said as I shot him.
His vest was buzzing, and the lights turned on in the room.
"The game's over, Juliet won with a score of 120 points." A voice said on the loudspeaker.
Hayes came up from behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Good job, babe." He said as he kissed my cheek.
"I challenge you-" Matt said, before he got interrupted.
"I'm sorry you guys but I have to get ready to leave. My flight leaves in a couple hours." Ashley said.
We all went back to the apartment in silence. None of us wanted her to leave.
We waited patiently in the living room as Ashley finished to pack her things.
After that, Nash drove Ashley's rental car as we went to the airport.
It was still silent, and you can tell everyone was sad she was leaving.
We walked into the airport and she got her ticket.
She had to go to security, which is where we had to separate.
I was the first to hug her.
"I'm going to miss you." I said.
"Me too, keep in touch, okay? If mom bothers you, you know where to find me." She said and hugged me tighter.
Nash was the last person to hug her.
*Nash's pov*
I couldn't even hug her, she was leaving me again. I couldn't have that.
I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her small waist tightly.
"Nash, I love you." She said.
"I love you, too." I cried.
"I don't think you understand how much I want to stay." She sobbed on my shoulder.
"No, I do." I rested my chin on her head.
I could feel her tears, she was shaking.
"Nash, I don't want to leave you again." She said, which made a tear escape from me.
"I know but you have your whole life ahead of you, I can't just take that away. You are going to be the most successful person I know." I said.
"Are we breaking up?" She asked.
"Not this time." I promised.
I hesitated as I pulled away from her, and I kissed her steadily.
"This isn't goodbye." I said, and she smiled.
"I know." She said as she made her way to security.
When she went through, she looked back at all of us and waved.
She looked back at me and smiled.
