I've ended my "First Sight" book so I think I'll concentrate more on my other books

Edwin and Y/N had a past. There was no denying that. Everyone who had gone to high school with the pair knew their undeniable connection, and those who were in their inner circle knew the pair had hooked up a couple or more times.
Everyone as well as the pair thought they'd get married or at least have some type of relationship when they left school but there was no such. The two lost contact after high school because Edwin had perused music while Y/N peruses medicine.
Before anyone knew it the two had reconnected but under diffarent circumstances, Y/N had married a lawyer while Edwin was still single.
Now Edwin has never lost hope on Y/N and himself ever becoming a couple. He was in fact heart broken to hear she had married but nonetheless had to suck it up and keep it moving for her. He tried everything in his power to throw the correct signals, show her that he was still interested but being married she took no notice to it.
Edwin did everything in his power to arrange dinner dates, lunch dates and parties just to be in her presence.
Standing in front of the two doors Edwin brought his fist up to deliver two knocks to the door before taking a step back, staring at the door, waiting for it to open. Edwin knew that at this time Y/N's husband wasn't home because he was dealing with some fraud case overseas so he was working late, something that so frustrated Y/N
The door clicked open, revealing Y/N wearing a small slik robe, which she fumbled to tie as she greeted Edwin. She gasped at the sight of his blooded and bruised body before pulling him inside, gesturing for him to sit down before pulling out the first aid box in the kitchen.
She mumbled a quick sorry as Edwin hissed at the pain of the ethanol making contact with his wounds. Edwin looked down at her, something in him jumped just at the sight of her, bare faced in her pj's. She made him feel like that kid in Highschool again.
"Now care to tell me what happened?" She said leaning against the counter
"I- I got into a fight at the club" Edwin answered suddenly bashful
"God Edwin" she sighed rubbing her temples
"It was-
"Look you can't just barge into my life whenever you feel like you need an ego boost" she scolded
"I don't need an ego boost! I need you!" I exclaimed
"You don't get it do you?" She asked
"Get what?" I asked feeling an anger bubble within me
"I'm a married woman Edwin! I'm expecting my first child in the next 8 months with the man I married!" She yelled
"I don't care! I'll take care of you and the baby like it was min-
"Stop! Just stop Edwin" she pleaded
"Look at you, you're starting fights at bars, drinking yourself silly then coming over to my home like I can fix it all" she sighed "It was high school Edwin-
"It wasn't that long ago"
"It was 15 years ago Edwin!"
"So what!" Edwin snapped
"So I've moved on! I'm done with you Edwin it was all a mistake!" She exclaimed
"What?" Edwin whispered
His heart was broken.
"In case you forgot I was ready for a relationship but you shut me out. Humiliated me in front of your friends and made me a laughing stock then you have the ordasity to think you can come and ruin my happiness." She said, her eyes were glazed over with tears as she relived those moments.
"Get out" she whispered
"Y/N I-
"Get out Edwin" she said louder
"Fine, look me in the eye and tell me you don't love me" Edwin said looking her in the eye
Something in Y/N wanted to tell him she still loved him, but she couldn't bring herself to it. Yes he was her first love, and she'll never stop loving him but her love for her husband was stronger at the moment.
"Babe?" A voice said. Y/N fumbled to wipe her tears away, turning to look down at the sink
"Hey, you okay?" Her husband asked
"Yeah" she smiled giving him a small kiss
Edwin stood there awkwardly, his eyes burning at the sight before him. He wanted her to be happy but he wanted to be the reason for her happiness. The reason those angelic giggled left her lips.
"Oh it's fine, Edwin was just leaving" Y/N said snapping Edwin back to reality
"Okay I'll wait back upstairs" he smirked before leaving
Y/N smiled looking at him disappear as she bit her lip
"Look Edwin we can't keep doing this, please leave." She asked
I smiled weakly making my way to the door, I looked once more back at her. Giving her a smile before leaving. As I walked to my car it dawned on me.
I wanted her but she wanted him.
