After getting Beth out of Walmart with a couple more bags of Cheetos, Shaylynn drives to Ruzek and Burgess' place to drop off the gas cards.
"You're going to spoil her," Ruzek tells Shaylynn standing at the door.
Shaylynn gives him a shitty grin, Ruzek looks behind him then looks back at Shaylynn, "There's this boy that's interested in Reneé," he tells her.
Shaylynn glares at him, "You want me to scare him?" she asks.
"Maybe just let him know there are others watching out for her that could do a lot more to him than I can if he gets out of line so to speak," Ruzek says winking.
Shaylynn smiles, "Gotcha," she says, "I better go, I have to get Beth home."
"See ya later," Ruzek says shutting the door.
Getting into her SUV, Shaylynn sees Beth is almost done with the bag, "Good God woman, you sure do like those things!" she says to Beth.
Beth smiles showing her orange teeth, Shaylynn snickers, "Kelly is going to kill me for letting you eat the whole bag!"
"He won't know, I'll leave the bag in here," Beth says.
"He's going to know by the orange teeth and breath," Shaylynn says getting back out.
She opens the back door, lifts a panel in the floorboard to reveal a small cooler, and pulls out a bottle of water.
Closing the door, she gets back in and hands the bottle to Beth.

Parking outside of Beth's house, she gets out as does Shaylynn.
The hatch goes up as Shaylynn starts grabbing out Beth's bags, "I can get some," Beth tells her looking inside to see if she can see what Shaylynn got from those guys.
"I have them," Shaylynn tells her, "You have your Walmart bag full of Cheetos," she says laughing.
Walking into Beth's house, Severide meets them, "What the hell! You buy so much how can you find any more to buy?" he questions.
"Blame, Shaylynn," Beth says smiling.
Shaylynn gets a surprised look on her face as Severide looks at her, "Sure like I can keep her from buying anything! I'm not her handler, you are!" she tells him.
Beth looks at Shaylynn, she starts laughing, "I better be getting home," Shaylynn says, "See you guys later."
Shaylynn walks out to her SUV, gets in, and drives off.

Walking into the house carrying her bags, Shaylynn sits them down on the kitchen counter.
Hearing her come in, Jacquelyn comes running into the kitchen, "Mommy!" she yells as she goes sliding across the floor because of her footed pajamas.
Shaylynn bends down, picks her up, and sits her on the counter, "I bought you some books," Shaylynn tells her handing her the bag.
Jacquelyn smiles as she takes the bag, "Tank you! Down, please," Jacquelyn says.
Shaylynn puts her down, Jacquelyn takes off running again.
Shaylynn then hears thudding going up the stairs.
She smiles as she goes back to taking things out of the bags.
A few minutes later, she feels her hair being moved to one side, hands around her waist, and then lips on the back of her neck.
She's then pushed against the counter, with the weight on her she can feel something hard on her butt.
Shaylynn gets a shitty grin on her face then turns around to see Halstead standing there with sweatpants on and a tight t-shirt showing off what's underneath.
She puts her hands on his stomach and moves them up to his chest, then to his behind his neck.
He starts kissing her then lifts her up and sits her on the counter.
Running her hands down his back, she comes to his waistband, putting her hands inside grabbing his butt.
Running her hands along the inside of the waistband, she moves them around to the front finding him then starts stroking him sending a little moan into her mouth.
Halstead starts working at undoing her pants, she pulls her head back, "We can't here, Jacquelyn could come down at any time and see I have no pants on."
He backs away and starts looking through the bags, "What are you looking for?" she asks him.
"You have to have bought a sundress or something," he says digging more, "Yep, here's one!" he says smiling at her, "Arms up!"
Shaylynn smiles putting her arms up. Halstead pulls her shirt up over her head, then undoes her bra. He slips the sundress down over her arms and head pulling it down onto her.
He grabs the top of her pants along with her panties and pulls them down and off.
"Now if Jacquelyn comes down you're wearing that," he tells her smiling as he moves the front of his sweatpants down and pulls himself out as he pulls Shaylynn to him, entering her as soon as she's on the edge of the counter.
Shaylynn starts kissing him sending a moan back into his mouth as he thrusts into her.
Knowing that Jacquelyn could come down at any time it doesn't take either of them long.
Shaylynn lays her forehead on Halstead's shoulder, "I needed that!" she tells him picking her head up and kisses him.

The next morning, Halstead and Shaylynn are up bright and early.
They head to the indoor range for their weekly target practice.
Thinking about Kelton, Shaylynn decimates the target.
Even though he has hearing protection on, he can hear Shaylynn going at it.
He looks and sees her target is being ripped to shreds.
Putting down his weapon, he moves over toward her.
"Are you okay, Babe?" he asks her.
Shaylynn puts down her gun and takes out her ear protection as Halstead takes off his.
"Do you really think this FBI job would be good for me?" Shaylynn asks not saying what she's really thinking about.
"Hell yes," Halstead tells her.
"There's a reason why they recruited you so heavily," he reminds her.
"You're amazing at what you do!" he tells her.
Shaylynn smiles at him, "You know I love you," she tells him.
Halstead smiles back at her, "I love you too," he tells her moving closer then kisses her.
"No mushy stuff out there!" they hear over the intercom.
They both turn to the side and see the Officer who watches over the lanes, he smiles at them.
"It's bulletproof glass so you can't get me," he tells them laughing.
Shaylynn looks at Halstead and rolls her eyes.
They leave the range and head out to the truck, "Do you think we'll ever get Kelton once and for all?" Shaylynn asks him as they get in.
Halstead starts up the truck, "Where did that come from?" he asks as he puts on his seatbelt.
Shaylynn looks out the window, "I have a feeling something is going to happen," she says.
"I really don't like when you get that feeling," he tells her as he pulls out of the parking lot.
"I can't help it," she tells him.

Sitting at his desk, Kelton looks at his numbers for the Mayoral race to see he's way behind Ray Price.
It seems him getting shot gave him the 'pity' vote from some. And then when people found out that Hank was now backing Price, his numbers rose even more.
Aggravated, Kelton pounds his fist on the desk.
He reaches into his pocket for his cell phone.
Waiting for a few seconds someone finally answers, "Do it!" Kelton says and hangs up.

Four hours have gone by, Intelligence shows up at a shooting where the shooter is still unaccounted for.
Making their way inside, they learn that the shooting victim is a Senator that's been at a fundraiser and that the FBI has arrived.
While searching for the shooter, the man takes a woman and a little boy hostage.
Walking outside, the man sees that there are cops and FBI everywhere and a huge group of Fire Trucks is showing up.
Confused, the Officers and the FBI are wondering why the CFD are arriving.
Alexander Knox quickly makes his way over to Boden, "Why is the CFD here for?" he asks.
"We were called to a fire," Boden tells him pointing to a building with the upper floors on fire.
Knox nods his head and puts his radio up to his mouth, "We have a situation!" he radios.
He heads back over to where Hank, Halstead, and the rest of Intelligence are standing with the hostage negotiator.
"We don't have time for this!" Knox tells him as he looks at the man holding onto the woman and sees that the little boy's face is buried into his mom.
Knox puts his radio back up to his mouth, "Take him out!" he radios out.
A shot rings out.
The man falls to the ground leaving the woman and boy standing by themselves.
A few Officers run over to them, one picking up the boy, the other helping the woman who's obviously in shock.
Hank and Halstead look at each other as Hank walks off toward Knox, Ruzek walking up to Halstead.
"I would assume Shaylynn's here," he says to Halstead, Halstead smiling, "But I wonder why they all of sudden got in a rush and shot him for?" Ruzek asks.
Halstead and Ruzek both walk over to where Hank and Knox are. They walk up, right when Knox is getting ready to tell Hank why the FBI shot the guy.
"After I found out why the CFD was here, I made the call just to have the man shot because I need to get my sniper out of the building they're in," Knox tells Hank.
Hank glares at Knox as Halstead and Ruzek look at each other, "And what building is your sniper in?" Hank asks knowing the sniper's Shaylynn.
Knox points to the building that's on fire, "That one," he tells them.
Hank looks back at Halstead who takes off running for the building.

Running into the building, Halstead runs past Boden and up to the manager of the building.
Halstead takes his phone out of his pocket, "Have you seen this woman?" he asks the guy.
"Yeah, she said she needed to use the building for FBI business," the guy tells him.
"Did she say what floor she was going to?" Halstead asks.
"No," the guy tells him.
Turning around, Halstead looks at Boden, "By where the shot came from she has to be around the tenth and twelfth floors," he says then takes off until Boden grabs his arm.
"Whoa! Where do you think you're going?!" Boden asks Halstead.
"I don't need you dead on my scene," Boden tells him, "Shaylynn's a smart woman. I'm sure she knows what to do in a situation like this if she gets caught up in it."
Halstead listens to what Boden says and calms down a little and pats him on the arm.
"Chief!" someone yells out.
"Are you alright now?" Boden asks Halstead.
Halstead nods his head, "Alright, I have to go," Boden tells him walking off.
Halstead stands there watching the Firefighters coming and going when he sees a familiar face.
"Kelly!" he yells getting Severide's attention.
Severide stops, turns to see it was Halstead who called his name.
Halstead rushes over to him, "Why are you in here?" Severide asks him.
"Shaylynn is somewhere around the tenth and twelfth floors," Halstead tells him.
"Why is she here?" Severide asks.
"For FBI business," Halstead says.
Severide radios out asking if any Firefighters in the stairwells have seen Shaylynn seeing that most of the CFD know what she looks like.
They all radio back no.
Halstead looks at Severide with a worried look, "I'll go and see if I can find her," he tells Halstead then starts putting on his mask.
Halstead pats Severide on the back as he walks away over to the stairs.
After checking floors one through seven, Severide arrives on the eighth floor.
Walking down the hallway, he checks inside the apartments he comes to make sure they're empty.
As he walks closer to the elevators he hears banging.
He quickly makes his way over to the door, "Is someone there?" he yells.
The banging he heard happens again.
Taking his Halligan bar he starts prying the door open.
He gets a shocked look on his face when he sees that there's no elevator.
Looking confused, he realizes that there is no way he heard banging until a hand pops out from the right side of the elevator shaft.
Looking around the side he sees Shaylynn on the shaft ladder.
"Hi Kelly," she says to him, "You wanna give me a hand?" she asks.
Severide grabs onto her hand and helps her out of the shaft. They start walking down the hallway.
"Why were you in there for?" Severide asks her.
"The floor I was on the fire was spreading quickly and I couldn't get to the stairs. The elevator was closer. When I finally got the door open it wasn't there so I got on the ladder. Good thing I did because the hallway became engulfed in flames," she tells him.
As though the universe heard her Severide hears a sound.
He looks to his right to see a fireball coming at them from one of the apartments.
Knocking Shaylynn down to the floor he hurries and lays on her as the fireball goes over the top of them.
Quickly getting up, Severide puts his hand out to her as she reaches up to him.
"We need to get off this floor!" he tells her helping her stand up.
"Agreed," she says.
They both start running for the stairs.
