Georgia's POV
Confused was an understatement at the moment. To describe what was going on in my head would be impossible. I had so many emotions going on I wasn't exactly sure what the right way to feel was. My boyfriend had purposely injured my brother right in front of me. It was an overwhelming situation that I happened to be right in the middle of. Some people were saying it wasn't my fault but somehow I kept feeling like it was. Darcy is part of my life, no one else's. I almost felt like it was my responsibility. But I never would have known that he would do something like this. I never knew he could be so aggressive. It was a scary reality that I had to comprehend.
I hadn't spoken to Darcy since before the game and I wasn't exactly excited to. When I saw him, I knew my emotions would get the better of me. He always knows how to get me back to loving him. I couldn't help the way it happened, it's almost like I had no control over it. Even though I knew I did.
As I drove back from my parents house, I thought about what I would say to Darcy. How to handle the situation without it getting out of hand. I couldn't handle anymore confrontation for the week. That's exactly why I slept at my parents house. To avoid Darcy for just a few hours while I had time to think.
I stayed over last night in their spare bedroom. My dad was driving me home because I had no other way to get there. I wasn't planning on doing much today. Besides having a chat with Darcy. I was free as a bird.
When I got home, I said goodbye to dad and hopped out of the car. I saw the cars that were home, Tash's, Grace's and Darcy's. He was home. This was the time that I had to talk to him. I walked inside and saw my 2 best friends sitting on the couch. Billie, my dog ran to me and jumped on me. I pet her head but I had other things that were distracting me. I then heard movement from the kitchen and Darcy came out of the kitchen in his training gear, ready to go. The girls gave me the go ahead look. I looked up at Darcy who was looking at me sympathetically. The girls got up from the couch and walked down the hall to Tash's bedroom. I gestured towards the couch and Darcy and I both closed in on it and placed our selves down.
"So....." He said slowly.
"I just wanna know what was going through your head" I said to him.
"I'm sorry George. I would never purposely hurt someone you cared about. It was just a late hit, I didn't know that he stopped so my momentum kept going" he told me. That was complete bullshit. I watched him with my own eyes, go up to my brother and punch him in the jaw. "I really wouldn't do that" he tried to argue.
"How do I know that. I can't be with someone who has a lot of anger towards my family. My family means everything to me Darcy you know that" I told him.
"And you know me! You know my personality, I'm not a nasty person!" He told me. In that moment, I had to think back to all of the reasons that I fell in love with Darcy. All that was coming to my mind was all the reasons that I wanted to break up with him. I didn't feel good about myself when I was with him and that is something I know I shouldn't feel. I should feel like I can be myself around him and I can't. Sometimes I can....but not with Darcy, with Pat.
I probably shouldn't do this but I often compare my very close friendship with Patrick to my relationship with Darcy. I know deep down that Darcy and I are not meant to be. We never were and never will be. I also know deep down that I'm not a strong enough person to admit what I'm thinking to my long term boyfriend.
"I love you Georgia" He told me and grabbed my hand gently. That was all it took. This was the Darcy I fell in love with and the same Darcy that convinced me to stay together every time we had a fight. He was sweet, kind and gentle. Everything I want in a guy was right in front of me and deep down I knew it was an act but I could never admit it. I gave in, just like I always do.
"I love you too" I replied. It wasn't a lie though, I really do love Darcy when he is like this but it is up to whether or not that is the real Darcy. He then pulled my face into his and placed a kiss on my lips. It was gentle and passionate, but there was not the feeling I wanted there to be. There wasn't usually with Darcy but I had gotten myself into this situation many times before and I had got myself in it again.
"I'll see you later babe" he said as he got up with his bag and walked out of the house.
"Okay, Bye" I said as he shut the front door. Tash's bedroom door then opened and the girls walked out. They came and sat either side of me on the couch.
"What happened?" Grace asked me.
"I forgave him....again" I told them.
"Do you love him?" Tash asked me.
"Yeah, I mean I think I do" I said.
"Don't worry about it" Grace said.
"Thanks" I said. I then got up and walked to my bedroom to get ready for work.
I was looking forward to work today. It was exciting what I had planned. I invited Pat to come to my class to tell my students about his job and his life. I thought they would all enjoy it and Pat is really good with kids.

Patrick's POV
The last week had been pretty hectic for me. I had a lot going on in my life. From my training and leading a whole football club, to my relationships.
Lily and I were going okay for now, she was my first proper love but your first love isn't always your last. When I say proper I mean a love that forms a relationship. My first love was Georgia. I fell in love with her the moment I knew what love was. But sometimes love just stays as a friendship. I was learning a lot about myself lately. Also about others around me. Georgia and I were as close as we could be as friends. I was enjoying spending time with her and Lily. Obviously on seperate occasions.
For example today, I was going to Georgia's school. I was really excited to see her in her element of teaching. I was also excited to talk to some kids about playing footy. I thought it was a really good idea from Georgia. That's why I agreed as quick as I could.
I drove to her school and parked out the front. I walked in and checked in through the front desk. I walked to her classroom because I knew where it was. I had been to the school many times before. I got to her classroom and as I walked up, I saw Georgia addressing the class. She had a great big smile on her face. She was amazing with kids and it was obvious. I knocked gently on the door. I saw Georgia and she smiled even bigger when she saw me. She came an opened the door to let me in.
"Hey! Glad you could come" She said as she pulled me in for a hug.
"Yeah, glad I could make it" I said back. She then led me into the classroom to stand in front of all the kids.
"Okay everyone, I would like you all to meet a friend of mine. His name is Patrick, can you all say 'hi Patrick'" She said to all of them.
"Hi Patrick" they all said in unison.
"Hey guys" I said.
"Well everyone, Patrick is going to tell you all about his job! Can anyone guess what it is?" She asked them.
"Fireman!" Someone shouted out.
"Not quite!" I said.
"Anyone else?" She asked. There were a few more guesses but no one got it.
"Patrick here, he plays AFL for a very special club!" She told them.
"Woooooowwww" they all said slowly.
"Does anyone here follow footy?" I asked them. Most of them raised their hands.
"Who do you go for?" I asked one of them.
"Collingwood" She said with a smile.
"Oh no, not Collingwood" Georgia said.
"Does anyone go for Carlton?" I asked them.
"Me!" a girl shouted from the back.
"Well I play for the Carlton Football Club" I said.
"Cooooolll" they all said in unison again. They all started chatting a lot and getting a bit excited. It was last period for them so they were a tad restless.
"Okay guys!" Georgia yelled to get their attention. "Please be respectful of our special guest and give him your full attention" she said. "It's all yours" she said to me. She went and sat at her desk as all the eyes were now on me....
.....
School was now over and Georgia was saying goodbye to all her students and their parents. I watched her as the last student left the class. She bent down to talk to her and was helping her with her finger because she got a paper cut. It was really cute watching her make this little girl feel better. She knew exactly how to make people happy and I loved it. She talked with a smile on her face no matter what. She then kissed the little girls finger better and her and her mum walked out.
"Thanks for coming Pat, I think they all reallly enjoyed it" she said as she walked back over to me.
"Of course George" I said giving her another hug. She then packed all her stuff up and we headed out together. We got in her car because I got an Uber here. Then she drove me home. The whole ride was full of laughs about her students and how nervous I was to talk to a bunch of 6 year olds. When we pulled up to my house. She parked the car and turned to me.
"So your parents are coming next week right?" She asked me.
"Yep, mums insisting we have a Cripps-Kelly annual barbecue at your folks place" I told her.
"Yeah no problem, I'll talk to mum" she said.
"Okay, well I'll see you soon then" I said.
"Yep, good luck for your next game" she said.
"Thanks George" I said. She leaned over the centre of the car and gave me a hug. I then climbed out of the car and walked inside. I saw her drive off through the window.
Today really gave me a whole lot to think about. About Georgia and watching her with those kids. About where I saw myself going with Lily. But also about my life and how I thought it was going. It was all a lot to take in and I just didn't have the patience to deal with it.

Damn! Georgia forgave Darcy once more! But I hope I made up for it by including some cute Pat and Georgia moments!
